I went to Tesco at Heanor at 8am this morning, it was dark and pouring with rain. I am an 80 years old lady and was quite stressed when I arrived! I don't usually go there so couldn't find several things, the staff were so helpful both on the floor and at the scan and pay check out. The two ladies in the coffee shop were lovely. Thank you to everyone. You were great.

Friendly helpful staff. Reasonably priced. Good car parking. Petrol station and lovely cafe on site. Only downside is a smaller scale stock on display than previously. But as this isn't a particularly big store that is understandable. Overall this is a really good store and I'd recommend anyone to give it a try.

I had use the self scan device for quicker check out. I thought that the idea was to scan products while shopping to save time on check out. Wrong! I had to wait 10 minutes in front of the automaric machine in order somebody from the staff to come and check if I had scan all the items in my trolley and because she done it wrong the first time I had to wait even more to do it again. Finally the delay was that much that I won't do this again.????

The outlet is very big and the products on sale are well priced. The staff are very friendly and the service is top notch. I always use this shop for my main shopping needs and find it is open every time I go - even in the early mornings.

Called in today to buy a sandwich for lunch was impressed with the selection and then straight to the self service check out was in and out in less than 5 minutes my type of shopping, plus a nice big car park and petrol station

The service was absolutely dreadful
A blond girl called Emily was working on the day we came in and she was very rude. She ignored customers, got our order completely wrong. We ordered a quorn sausage and never got it. She even made my partner a hot chocolate using normal milk when we asked for soya milk. My partner is lactose intolerant. She then continued to ignore everyone while going about her business. Rolling her eyes and tutting as she saw customers. Bloody awful place to go and staff need a little training in what is customer service. Dont go here in my opinion.

Tonight I went into Heanor Tesco, Derbyshire and on the way in there was group of 5-6 teenagers hanging around outside the store who had clearly been causing a few issues. The evening store manager and a security guard were talking with them.
Just wanted to say that the store manager probably thought no one was listening but he dealt with them so calmly and with such respect. He then came inside and within a minute they had moved on.
No drama, no talking down to them, no threats to call the police he justed treated them like adults and customers even though they clearly weren't there to buy anything.
After asking in store I understand he is the night manager and his name is Tim.
Cracking job Tim, I'm sure they were being difficult but you handled it superbly and probably thought nothing of it. I on the other hand think you deserve a pat on the back for being a decent human being and diffusing a tricky situation whilst helping your customers feel less intimidated.

Women at the checkout was very slow and rude. She didn't want to serve me because I had a number of heavy items (bottles of water) which she insisted she couldn't manage. This was after I had waited in the queue for 20 minutes. I insisted she put them through the checkout but called me lots of names in the process. I will never use this store again.

The only Tesco I know that doesn't sell clothes, electricals etc. They don't have that much of a variety of Groceries such as Food etc. This has got to be the worst I've ever been to. It's like walking into your local corner shop.
