I've been shopping at the Asda store at Langley Mill, since the shop opened, a number of years ago. The staff have always been extremely helpful and courteous, the fresh fruit and veggies always first class, and more important everything is where you expect it to be . Thank you Asda and your wonderful staff for making my shopping experience so enjoyable Pete.

On the whole, I think supermarkets do a fantastic job. Asda is no exception to the rule. Filled with bargain prices and regular / seasonal deals, it is a great place to shop ???? I popped in here for a brew and snack in the cafe, but ended up buying a few Christmas gifts for family. The only downside in this store for me is the number of auto tills: a real drag and I don't want to be automated ???? Still, a good 4 star ..........

My partner went in to get cigarettes, went to the counter the lady there told him to put a mask on,parnter reply I have a heart condition and breathing problems, which she reply anybody can say that, where is your letter from the doctor. Partner. I dont need a letter. She reply then am not seving you without a mask after taking the money for the cigarettes but took the cigarettes back and wouldn't give a receipt, so the money for the cigarettes has gone out his bank but Asda dont answer their phones . This lady at the cigarettes kiosk was rude and swearing at my partner. Very unacceptable. I work in a supermarket and we are not aloud to approach people without a mask . Asda want to sort out this lady and give the money back what she took for the cigarettes. I personally won't be shopping there again.

Just bought a batch of fresh cobs from Langley Mill store. Found a fly inside the packaging when i got home. Won’t be buying anything fresh from there again and it’s not worth the hassle and cost of returning the goods but I think their hygiene standards should be raised. Also found it impossible to contact asda about it unless I’m willing to waste a day for a £1s worth of cobs. Sam Kitching

Poor, egotistical staff. Especially rude when you ask them for any help or services E.g. made to order pizza

First, I feel that I must make it clear that I truly loathe shopping, and particularly dislike supermarkets. That said, my visit to ASDA this afternoon was less bad than anticipated. The three staff members I spoke to were helpful, polite, and professional. Great service! 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon seemed like a much better idea than visiting at busier times? Managed to find everything I was looking for easily, and didn't feel ripped off at the checkout either. Made my necessary but dreaded trip tolerable, instead of a grind. Obviously, I shall try not to return due to my aversion to shopping - but if I'm forced into it again, it'll probably be here.

The supermarket is fine! But I didnt feel there was enough safety measures! The checkout lady wasnt bothered.. not pushing the food down which was annoying as I had to come closer to pack my shopping!! I didnt feel the staff were taking the social distancing seriously! I feel you need a queuing system! Because it difficult to know where to que while keeping 2m! I wont be returning I'll be shopping at other supermarkets that do take it seriously! Where I feel safe.

Love Asda, unfortunately getting more frustrated with the Langley Mill store. If something is out of stock, it's out of stock for days even weeks. No cooked chickens after 5pm Mon-Fri, a lot of the times I go for one after work. Apparently, the last ones get cooked at 2pm. But it's open 24 hours. Considering going back to Morrisons at Eastwood.

Never really been an Asda shopper, always found their stores a bit of a free for all, until they built this one some years ago now. I found the staff helpful and the store easier to shop at with less of the pushing and shoving I experienced at other stores. I now shop here every week and it has made my shopping experiences happier ones. Well done to the staff

Ridiculous the way big companies are trying to save money reducing the staff. No one cashier desk open. Only self scan available certain times which is fine if you don't buy big amount of stuff. Unfortunately I had a full trolley of shopping and the machine kept blocking every minute. After all I must spend over 20 minutes for a job that a actual cashier will do in not more than five. Very disappointed after all. Obviously is not the staff fault because somebody on the next level up is greedy saving on wages.

Asda is similar to most companies of this size, functional but unremarkable and not really all that bothered about individual customers. Now the in-store staff are a different matter of course, they're doing the best with what they have to work with. The pharmacy staff for instance are always polite, welcoming, and they recognise their customers. It doesn't feel like a part of a supermarket, but rather the local community pharmacy. The store is clean and the staff are right on top of any spills when they are told about them. Unlike many people who display a tendency to say "That's not my job", the staff at this Asda branch seem to get stuck in. For example, one evening there had been a rather large milk spillage. The staff member over at the service desk called for a cleaner, but one was not immediately available, so she went and got some paper towels and warning signs and cleared it up enough to be safe. There are stock problems. Certain items go out of stock regularly, and can be put off stock for several days. This is probably a supply issue, rather than an in-store ordering issue. Regardless, it is rather annoying. Another issue is some of the pricing tactics that go on. Now this sort of thing is common among supermarkets. Things like mixing £/KG and £/100g on similar products to make it more difficult for people to get a good sense of the difference in price. Charging more for large packets per KG than the smaller packs because they know people will think it is cheaper to buy bigger packs. It's all very dishonest. To make matters worse, several times recently I have been in the "Fresh" produce area and found items covered in mould. Not just a little bit here or there, but days worth. Most recently on the 25th I had to take a bag of oranges to the customer services counter because multiple oranges had mould growth, one orange was covered in its entirety. That means staff in that department have spent several days not really checking produce correctly. If the fresh produce staff cannot keep on top of the food in their department, why should I believe the meat, fresh, or any other departments are any better? Let's end on a good note, the petrol station is competitively priced, kept clean, and is convenient. The car park is generally good (although there are some drainage issues that should really be sorted out). So, as I said, it is typical of most big retailers... Average, functional, but nothing outstanding.

Really disappointed; after spending a fair amount of time loading my trolley with rather expensive every-day items we arrived at the checkouts only to find 95% of them were self-serve!! This is fine as an option for a few items but not for a weekly shop. The very few that were staffed had long queues... I shan't be going again in a hurry.

Asda brand is a favourite as visits to the stores at West Bridgford and Long Eaton will testify but the Langley Mill experience was one to treasure. It seems a general observation but staff are not proactive in serving customers and in an industry which is customer based this seems a fundamental flaw. Couldn't be bothered would have been an improvement. Basic training would help but it was refreshing to know I was everyone's sweatheart or darling.

This store is huge and always very well stocked. There is a large George section here too as well as electricals and a pharmacy. The carpark is spacious and features a rank of other shops including an opticians. There is a petrol station on site too, the prices fluctuate in the lower percentage of fuel prices.
