Recently moved to derby so this has become my regular shop and all i can say is wow! This Asda is one of my favourites, the staff on checkout always seem so lovely, never had an issue while walking around and I prefer Asda over all other supermarkets anyway. The store is way bigger than your usual so there seems to be a huge variety of items available to purchase. Great first impressions.

Ive never had a problem as such here. Well sometimes when the kiosk is quiet they need to wind neck in and just serve the customers not saying sorry too many items...... Pizza are freshly made to your order or prepared ones. Hot chicken counter, fresh bread n cakes. Great clothing, electrically, toy and household range. Also home to Printing, opticians, McDonalds and collect & returns.

This review is for the specially selected lamb shanks Do not buy them. I have just cooked mine as per the instructions and they have shrunk to nothing. £7 for 2... you're lucky if they feed a child. Very disappointed

Asda Spondon, certain members of your staff today were amazing. Today 4th March my daughter and I went to Asda and shortly after entering my daughter who is heavily pregnant with twins and diabetic became unwell. The care and attention your staff gave my daughter was outstanding. My daughter and I couldn't thank them enough but we would also like those members of staff to be acknowledged for the above and beyond assistance they gave us,and it was sincerely appreciated.

Massive and busy supermarket just off the A52 ( Brian Clough Way ) on the outskirts of Derby. Sells all the things that you would need for a weekly shop, and more. Large free carpark and petrol filling station on site. I do find it very busy at times, especially weekends, around the tills, but there are bargains to be found, worth a visit. Staff are always friendly and helpful

Queues 5 deep this morning at 9am. Only 4 checkout girls on the tills but were doing their very best. No calls for queue busters. It's often poor, but not this bad. Gen Manager, what is going on? From a customer point of view, this is UNACCEPTABLE!

Charged twice on £50 transaction rang store to be told not their problem !!!? and to check in 3/4 working days as it will drop off the bank transactions - glad they can afford to be £50 short in their bank !!! What i am taking about - Asda doesn’t need £50 it’s peanuts to them not to a working family during furlough. !!!!!!!!! Asda staff unsympathetic !!! And yes it might come back but as far as my bank is concerned we have spent !!!! Till it’s not collected and drops off the system !!!!!

Social distancing measures are shocking leaving it all down to customers who clearly don't care!! Last March you queued properly, got counted in , 1 way system. Last week assistant on the entrance with hand gel.... this wk free for all ! Why the change?? Even the lady on the til said last Saturday was awful !!!

Great place for shopping, you can get a lot of things under one roof from clothing, groceries, homecare products, toiletries, plants and so much more. You can have a bite to eat after your shopping at MacDonald and on your way you can fill up with petrol. Free car parking for 2-3 hours.

Very big shop for all your needs. Covers nearly everything. Not for a quick shop but great for your weekly shop and petrol.

Absolute mess. Used to shop here weekly. Never again. Store was a disgusting mess. Hardly anyone wearing masks or social distancing. I shall be checking to see if my tetanus jab is up to date. Avoid this place if you value your mental and physical wellbeing.

Went yesterday and it was a shocker... had to queue to get in which is absolutely fine, but I would’ve hoped it wouldn’t have been so manic once we got in or else what’s the point in queueing? Staff leaving their cages and trolleys in the middle of aisles while they chat to coworkers, shelves were a mess and lots of stuff I needed was out of stock. Social distancing non existent and mask wearing was few and far between.

Far too overcrowded, no-body was social distancing, some people were walking around without a mask on coughing as they are walking past you. No temperature check as customers were entering. Felt very clostruaphobic.

Petrol good value, though payment attendant (grey haired lady 60-70) must have fallen asleep at last customer relations seminar!! No thank you at all, glum and with the personality of a gold fish.

I have just been to asda at spondon , and was amazed at the amount of people not wearing a mask . Some people wore one to go inside , and then removed it . I thought that asda had a must wear a madk rule in place . If so , what happened today .

Way to busy when I stud in line for self checkout its impossible to keep your distance as this area is so narrow people just keep pushing past you. I suggest asda make this area 1 way only to stop congestion and make it safe for everyone to keep there distance.

We visited Asda Derby a week ago to find the safety measures were almost non existent. Contrary to the advert the place was so packed it was impossible to keep any kind of distance from others. There was nobody on the door regulating numbers. All trolleys were used indicating how busy the store was. There was no queueing system any more. We felt very unsafe and will not return any time soon. We would not recommend visiting this store if you wish to keep safe. This was a Saturday but it felt like any pre Christmas busy Saturday.

What’s the point of showing a phone number if you can’t speak to somebody. The website did not answer my questions it isn’t the be all and end all of creation or supermarkets. I’d already given up shopping there - just one more try - another waste of time Goodbye again

Always great for a quick shop. I just wouldn't buy their clothing anymore, the trousers are made from such harsh material it was like walking around with sand paper down my trousers. food yes, clothing stick to proper brands

Just returned from a so called NHS hour but the store soon filled particularly with elderly people even though it was just after 8am. Can not believe that the store allowed this bringing some of the most vulnerable people close to people probably shopping after a night shift thinking the store wouldn't be busy. No social distancing either, as people just concerned about themselves. Genuinely shocked by some people

Finished my nightshift and thought I'd pop and get some some shopping done, checked the website which said the store opens at 6, at qtr past 6 the store was still closed and no sign of opening, there was no opening times listed anywhere that I could see on the doors or anywhere. Tried ringing the store but despite seeing loads of workers in the shop no one answered the phone. Left and went and spent 80 quid at tescos instead.

Shame on you. My daughter has just finished a seven day shift in a care home. Has just done her weekly shop and you refused her two bottles of wine because she has her daughter with her. I worked in retail..very poor judgement she was still in her uniform.

Had to shop for essentials and medicines this morning at Spondon Asda, the store is now operating a two meter rule and have set up barriers when waiting to enter the store, I can’t thank you all enough for the job you are still having to do while having your own families to look after, a total contrast to the mayhem of last week, thanks a million, stay safe and healthy.

Just visited. It was impossible to social distance the store was far too busy. Ended up leaving without shopping. Over heard many customers on my way out complaining about there not being anyone crowd controlling or keeping an eye on the capacity of shoppers in the store.
