Superstars! I came here with my dog for an emergency and the staff were totally incredible. I didn't have an appointment but it wasn't a problem. They came to help me at my car before I'd even given my info to them. I could tell they truly cared about helping us. The lovely nurses and reception took care of me while the vet was helping my dog. They made me a tea and took me into a private room to calm down as I was so upset and they were so kind. They saved his life and my wits! Will never go back to Coastway vets who were totally useless. Thank you so much everyone who helped us!!!!!!!!!!

Bertie was looked after incredibly well following a severe bout of acute pancreatitis. There was some incredibly scary moments where we all thought he wouldn't make it but the staff didn't give up on him and now he's home. The staff were lovely and friendly and no concerns whatsoever. Thanks all x

Be very careful what vets here write on your medical history for your pets. We had derogatory notes written about us and our dog which resulted in our insurers declining a claim. The notes had no scientific benchmark and were personally insulting. We have now instructed a solicitor as New Priory have refused to have a meeting with us and discuss this or take any responsibility. Our solicitor has discussed this at length with our insurers who reviewed our policy and agreed that the notes made by the vets were of a personal nature rather than a professional or scientific one! As this is classed as slander we are now pursuing this via our solicitor too. I would absolutely advise you against using New Priory.

Excellent team, very friendly and helpful staff. Very presentable and accessible building. We regularly use the weight clinic and online shop and the healthy pet club is very good.

Our cat became unwell during the night so we called our normal vet and we're directed to the New Priory. Despite never dealing with this vets before the phone support was very good and thorough. We were given helpful information and made the decision to take her in. When we got there the staff were friendly and we were seen right away. The vet again was very friendly, reassuring and thorough. In two hours we had an examination, blood tests, and the results. We were off home feeling a lot better. I would happily recommend this place.

I want to express my gratitude to the lovely staff at new priory vetinary practice. On saturday this weekend I came in with my daughter's dog who I felt was unwell, upon arrival at new priory low and behold she had made somewhat of a miraculous recovery!! I wasn't sure whether to waste the vets time and felt embarrassed to admit that my financial situation could have spared me the fee but the 2 lovely ladies on reception were so kind and allowed me to wait in the waiting room pushing back my appointment untill I had made a decision. They were so patient and understanding and did not make me feel a fool. The parking was helpful and directions were given which helped and I am now glad I visited and even though it was a wasted journey I now feel happy knowing how to get to the new priory in an emergency should one arise.

Late one night my dog became unwell I called my own vets and they had a message with the contact details of New Priory vets. I called straight away, the person on the phone was very receptive and knew I was incredibly concerned. They said to come straight away. On arrival they meeted me as I’m rubbish with finding places. We where seen really quickly, the vet was amazing with my dog Bruce which I was so grateful for and also managed a very upset pet owner incredibly well as Bruce is my best friend(Fur baby!) They had to keep Bruce in and get fluids in him they managed this situation so well and I could see they where taking it seriously and doing all they could. Everything was explained to me including consent, risks, procedures need/ recommended land cost information. The next morning I was called keeping me up to date with what was going on and what tests where being done but most importantly how Bruce was. Bruce is a rescue he had 6 homes before and came with serious seperation anxiety. We have always worked around Bruce so leaving him somewhere felt like I had let him down. But he was fine making new friends and being given the very best treatment. Bruce was diagnosed with Lymphoma. The support we got from all the vets there was top notch. It was a shock but they gave us so much information and helped us make the right decision for Bruce. I whole heartily believe if it hadn’t been for the professional, caring and hard working team at the New Priory vets we would have lost him. We started Chemo straight away closer to home, he has responded really well. Hes loving life, destroying his toys, playing ball and most importantly for Bruce still loving his Food!! Thank you all so much for everything you did for Bruce and also the piece of mind I can pick the phone up to you anytime of day and know he will be given the best care by you guys.

To be honest, this place is a fantastic friendly service day or night. Recently had to rush my dog in and was told he had possible pneumonia, the time it took to get urgent medical assistance was amazing. My dog is now perking up a little.. Even with wildlife issues, it is not too much trouble as had to rush a baby seagull in and staff very friendly even at unsociable hours. I am adding extra to this review.. (February 2018) My dog last night got food trapped and started choking at 1145ish and they quickly answered the phone and told me to bring him straight down.. Upon arriving the two night staff had oxygen ready in the event that the particle didn't dislodge and thankfully it had broken apart just as we arrived. My dog was shaking with shock and the vet let me straight in and had my dog seen to.. Tested out the throat to see if any damage had been done and thankfully just general discomfort. I cannot describe how traumatic it is watching your animal choking and crying but I would recommend firstly research the recovery manouver in event a dog chokes so on way to vet if have a passenger in the car one can try to dislodge the food.. The vet at night done an experiment with chicken to test for further blockages and gave excellent advice on after care.. This is another reason I recommend everyone get a vets like.new priory who are available 24 hours a day as you never know when your need an emergency vet appointment which is a matter of life or death. Thank you to the team for all help given..

I left this vets because of two reasons for one I didn’t like the way they judged me when I said I wanted my dog to have one litter of puppies. Second they told me to come in when my dog had kennel cough just to tell me they couldn’t do anything. The worst thing is my dads cat got his fur shaved there where he was cut , being an old cat the stitches got infected and ended up costing him a fortune in antibiotics and vets bills even though it was their fault for cutting the cat in the first place . Be careful they will rip you off .Also the 5 star reviews could be bogus , paid for or set up by the vets themselves on different google accounts. The point is they have scammed my family out of hundreds of pounds

Very disappointing. Agree with another reviewer on the rudeness of reception, both on the phone and in person, maybe its just one young person but thats all it takes to make a first impression. Lacking authenticity and warmth. My first appointment felt very rushed and was not remotely thorough. The vet I saw was given a record card but missed that my pup needed the second round of a vital vaccination and I was none the wiser. Now the course has to be started from completely from scratch at more expense and she isn't immunised, but I have found an alternative fabulous practice in Hove who have kindly offered this at half price and a proper first time consultation.

My Milly had to spend 7 nights in the Priory Hospital post operatively - I couldn't complain about anything, her treatment was first class and communication was excellent - day or night there was always a vet to talk to and put my mind at rest. A very professional and caring staff.

Visiting new priory is a pleasure. I bring in my mums dog and there is tea and coffee there for me and receptionists and vets are always really nice . The new receptionist with the tattoos thinkther name is emma or emily was really helpful and nothing too much trouble.

They did miracles with my Hearing Dog, for when they told me he had aggressive cancer.. he lived on to extra 2 and half years since he was diagnosed. Not only being fantastic with pets, but they excel in customer service.

Very expensive - one standard medication at my local vet is £6.10 but it’s £14.86 at New Priory. I have questioned this but never got a response.
