Wanted to get mdf cut to size. The staff member said it costs £1.00 per cut and maximum 2 cuts. I needed to get 4 cuts done and they refused as it "takes up too much time". There were 2 member of staff standing around the cutting area doing nothing at all! went to b & q and they cut up to 15 cuts for FREE!

Went on a Tuesday 17:15 and the rude security guard says closed when i show him why does it says online 18:00 got a smashing reply find it out yourself we close at 17:00 and went inside .

My experience today with one of the staff Danny is not a good one. I went to the shop yesterday to buy a screw/nut for one of my kids bed but bought the wrong one as it didn't have the screw head. Going back to the shop and Danny was the one to serve me. He was talking to himself as I couldn't hear what he was saying. I had to say sorry twice just for him to talk to me. I tried to explain my plight and he should please help me either by guiding me through which one to buy or get me the one that has the screw head. He was so dismissive and told me blatantly that he's just at the tool station just to sell, he doesn't help people about the right one as he doesn't know anything about tools or nuts. His voice was so harsh and he told me that if I couldn't make up mind on the one that are in the catalogue he couldn't help me. I was so helpless. I asked him who can help me then he answered back that I was rude to him and therefore he couldn't serve me again. He moved aside and started to attend to another customer.
Thank God for the people like Gurpreet who has good customer service and the lady really knows why she is in the tools station. She attended to me promptly. People like Danny should not be in a place that require some intelligence and good manners.

Rude staff, some of them even don't speak English!
We left the trolley close to the till and we went 5 minutes to buy some cables, in 5 minutes they removed all our shopping from the trolley ( heavy tiles, adhesive etc) even it was 30 minutes before closing. The attitude was...oh let me check with my colleagues to see IF we can bring them back...
The security guy asked my husband to stop and return to the store from the car because he miss understood his colleagues... they were asking if there are any last customers in the store...he understood to bring the last customer back...in the end he was laughing instead of saying sorry or any kind of apology!
Definitely first and last time visiting this store!

Apparently don't even have a saw on site. wanted to by some timber beams for a DIY project, smallest length they do is 2.4m which doesn't fit in my car. called to asked if they are able to simply cut it in half so I can transport it and they flat out refused. many other merchants are happy to accommodate this simple need and have done so but apparently Wickes is not one.
