What a place to either switch off , or prepare for the next assignment. As a photographer, and member of the press, I get to cover quite a few weddings in the Pavilion., It is here that I like to sit and finalize my shooting plans. Amid lush greenery, peace and like-minded people one can become very calm.

Beautiful place to visit with family as well as friends. You'll find a lot birds especially pigeons here. You can enjoy bird watching and bird feeding. Do include this place in your Brighton trip as it is worth visiting. Even kids would love this place and there is lot of grass land for them to run on. Monument here is also beautiful and worth watching architecture. It walking distance from the main city and must visit place.

Owned and run by the same family since the 40s, the cafe has about a dozen tables outside and serves simple, British dishes like salads, soups, sandwiches, baguettes and baked potatoes. For those craving a bit of home comfort, it also serves baked beans on toast and a big selection of sweet treats like apple pie, carrot cake, coffee cake and millionaire's shortbread.

Had tea and cake here twice on a recent visit to Brighton. The lady who served me was very pleasant and covid precautions were being taken. Do try the vegan chocolate and raspberry cake even if you are not vegan, which I am not. It was seriously chocolatey and squidgy with pops of flavour from the raspberries.

Cute gem of a café at Royal Pavilions Brighton. Highly recommend the pistachio and lavender cake - it is absolutely heavenly! And you can have your cake with the stunning backdrop of the Palace! Brighton is the best!

Fantastic space right in the heart of the city. Happy times. Great for relaxing, a delicious picnic, or just having fun. Unusual plants, trees and shrubs. Wonderfully maintained by a team of dedicated gardeners. Very popular cafe with nice views, and lots of sunny outside seating. Sunday live bands. The fabulous, Royal Pavilion, dominates the scene. Easy access. Toilets nearby.

Lovely place! It was my first time visiting Brighton and I stumbled upon this place by accident. Great place for taking pictures, relaxing and unwinding. Totally recommend going there.

It's the perfect place to enjoy the outdoor life, with fast and friendly service, great selection of coffee and teas, lunches and cakes... and just watch the world saunter by. It's my favourite spot in Brighton overlooking the Royal Pavilion gardens.

I am referring to the ugly public toilet block that sits on the grounds of one of Brighton’s biggest tourist attractions, The Pavilion Gardens and Royal/Brighton Pavilion. Around 400,000 people visit the Pavilion annually and the gardens are gleefully full of lovely folk sitting about enjoying the views of the Pavilion, drinking tea and noshing good cake at the cafe or just hanging out with friends and family on the lawns. Children and babies too. So, so many of these poor unsuspecting people must use this toilet block. I mean, I’ve lived in Brighton almost 20 years and even I die a thousand times when I stroll through the door. It’s like a scene from SAW, and one never knows if someone sinister will crash out of a cubicle or if we can piss straight on the floor. I feel safer wearing headphones. The smell in there could raise the dead and the toilets are always filthy with dirty mirrors and slippery wet floors with paper towels scattered about, yet there’s often an attendant holed up in his clean, odour-free room. 2 out of 3 hand-dryers might not be working, but help yourself to the paper towels scattered about. You might even notice a friendly patron willing to offer you a happy ending. I try not to use them, but I have enjoyed the gardens And cafe and I cringe when I think of tourists and lovely folk using those toilets. But in defence of such a wonderful and money making attraction, please respect it with a handsome toilet block fitting to its location and just do something. Cleaning is a good start.

This is a lovely place to sit in nice weather. You can eat, drink and people watch in the grounds of the Royal Pavilion The rock cakes are famous. The jacket potatoes lovely as are the sandwiches. I visit here many times when I just want to chill out. Sometimes there are buskers, musicians about.

Lovely small park. Not all grassy areas are available to the public so if you are planning for a picnic you may be tight for space on a sunny day. Absolutely worth a visit though, as the Brigton museum and the Royal Pavilion are both right there and it is a nice garden to walk through if out for a stroll.

The location and ambience of this 1930s style tea house are indeed pleasant. Owners appear erstwhile and nice enough. The coffee, though, is not good at all: bitter, unpleasant, mainly composed of cheap milk, and served in a surrealistically 'nanoscale' sized cup. Please be honest with your customers and use a decent brand of coffee when you are charging such exorbitant prices. Making fools of travellers and tourists in such a respect is rather lame to say the least. Try to be better than that...

Lovely gardens nestled between the rear of the Brighton Pavilion and adjacent to the Brighton Dome. Two very famous buildings. The gardens and lawns are well maintained. The grassy area out the back of the Brighton Dome is a great place to relax.

Iconic Brighton gardens. Huge variety of seasonal plants and rare flowers put on a great show in the heart of this bohemian city. Great for a chill out picnic with take-outs from local health food places. Always interesting buskers to give you musical accompaniment whilst you 'dine'al fresco X

Great on sunny days, beautiful gardens and architecture. Has a very calming atmosphere, usually a lot of people reading/meditating and sometimes buskers too. Patrolled heavily by security so not really suitable for BBQs or drinks etc.

Sadly the picture for this cafe is the Royal pavilion. The cafe is shed outside. Perfectly good coffee and pastries. Ideal for people watching.

Lovely place, interesting looking round the outside. Wanted to see inside the Pavilion but is currently undergoing work. Information about the gardens is comprehensive. Every time you turn a corner you see another interesting building, or an unexpected part of the one you had been looking at

Good spot, buskers are usually good. Nice cafe, toilets are a bit hit and miss but the toilet graffiti is amazing. The museum and Pavillion itself are well worth a visit too.

Really lovely gardens to stop, sit and relax. The plants here are amazing. There are many I have not seen before. Also as you explore the gardens the architecture of the Royal Pavilion overlooking the area is really splendid. It was originally a seaside retreat for George, Prince of Wales, who became the Prince Regent in 1811. It was built in 3 stages by architect John Nash in a style reflecting that seen in India during the 19th century.
