Great coffee, what a pity the barista didn't wear her mask correctly. Being more concerned with wearing lipstick, she chose to keep her mask under her chin while she made my coffee and served me. Won't be returning until it's safe to do so.

Definitely one of my favorite spots in Brighton! Cozy place with great music, perfect to hang out with friends or work. They have amazing coffee and brunch. So delicious. The staff is kind and welcoming.

Lovely atmosphere and great coffee. The food was reasonably priced (avo on toast for £6). Gluten free options are limited.

The steakhouse on the third floor was enchanting! Food, service and ambiance was awesome! Our server was beyond great! We went up there and the view of the Queen Mary, Pike and downtown Long Beach was beautiful. They had a four piece band playing that was very impressive. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great experience!

Possibly the nicest cafe in that little area. Lovely atmosphere with real records playing and waitress service. They've improved the seating layout since it opened so it's more user-friendly. Also they have a fair few plugs for laptops. Only downside is it's cash only. What business is cash only in 2019?! I had to go to the cash point in the pouring rain with a 2-year-old in a push chair. It's still a solid four stars though.

My favourite cafe in Hove. Excellent combination of delicious food, well made hot and cold drinks, vinyl music and really friendly & professional staff creating a lovely atmosphere in a cool venue. Most of its furniture is for sale if you are looking for home stuff. You can sit at the counter and be sociable or on your own on comfy seats to do work. It’s also a cool place for groups to chill, eat well and feel at home. This place is one of the reasons why I like living in Hove (and drink amazing coffee!).

Lovely upbeat cafe! The staff were incredibly friendly and joyful. Plenty of plugs and free WiFi so a perfect spot for studying. Great music choice. And 40 different loose leaf tea pots priced at 3 pounds each! Managed to be very productive during my visit here and will definitely be back again!

Service is slow and waitress brings food to the wrong table. Ventilation is so bad and the basement (which also functions as a food storage) smells mouldy. Shop is dirty, you can find cob web in the corner next to the street facing window. Usually this spot should be clean, so I could not imagine how bad it will be in the kitchen.

Probably prefer it now as a Pescetarian haunt. Delicious coffee, a nice vibe, cool artifacts around the room and the brunches don't need meat when they are this good. A highlight of the Hove cafe scene.

Popped in for a coffee as it was raining. Had the most amazing chocolate and beetroot cake. Absolutely delicious. The best cake I've ever had. Would definitely recommend

My friends run this place and I normally pop in every shift, plus I run a poetry night there, so I'm going to be biased. Exquisite vintage furniture and a Bohemian edge, complimented with sexy roasts and indulgent, beautifully and lovingly made cakes. Ask for the cold brew that isn't a cold brew in the summer, filled half with a cold milk of your choosing, for a superb and delightful coffee milkshake. The chefs are talented too.

Food and music is great... but its been given a 1* hygiene rating for a reason. Check the cleaning room next time your in there.. terrible and unclean. The rating reviews from the council speak for themselves unfortunatley. Otherwise could be perfect.

The coolest and bestest cafe in Brighton and Hove actually, good food cakes coffee and tea. And you can buy the table you are sitting at as well as the crockery and the paintings on the walls. Did I mention the great vinyl music collection? And the very kind and helpful staff including the owner Taz. It's my local - I'm lucky

Had a salmon sandwich which was surprisingly really really delicious !! The waitress was so so lovely and we felt very welcome indeed. My partner had a mackerel sandwich which he loved. I have to say I savoured every minute of my sandwich too. Highly recommend.

Atmospheric, a step back into quirky time, friendly, cosy, great value, coffee and tea enthusiasts, doggies welcome, adult atmosphere... too tight for prams or kids not wanting to sit, vegan/veggie happy. Small but sweet.

Great friendly service, and if you have not had any cheese in a week or so, I recommend the toasted brie sandwich with cranberry. The decor gives you something to ponder about while eating, the large read letters spelling out Woo took me a couple of seconds to recognize, and could it be true that the trumpet below them was once played by Louis Armstrong?

Food was nice, but the cutlery and glasses were really dirty, and the bathroom could have done with a good scrub. Left feeling a bit worried we were going to get ill... we didn't but still...????

By chance I was here three times in a week. A three hour stint while I worked. A morning meeting with friends as a bloke strummed his guitar. Then tea and cake with another friend as an older local man played his, favourite reggae and soul LPs. Lovely cake, great records and fantastic place for people watching

Such a cute, quirky, relaxed place serving delicious vegetarian breakfast/brunch/lunch and homemade cakes. Seriously good coffee and I cant stress enough at how good the cakes are here. They have 'resident' brownies and blondies then the types of cakes available each day differs. The place is small with a selection of comfy armchairs or dining tables and chairs. The walls and every nook is filled with bespoke or antique art pieces or items that are also available for purchase (definitely take a trip downstairs to the loos to find more goodies!). On top of all of this the room is always filled with good music, most of the time playing straight from the record player in the corner or occassionaly a live small jazz band, also playing in the corner. Pop in and don't walk past, as I did on many occasions, it quickly became a regular place to visit for me!

Nice and cosy, nice atmosphere and lovely music. Quirky objects for sale and interesting art on the walls. The coffee though is not great. Or better, the specialty coffee is nice but the baristas do not know what to do with the milk which is scorching and foamy. Happy to give it another try. I might have been unlucky
