As a vegetarian I have been looking for a decent club sandwich for a long time and I’m so happy I found it! The haloumi club is amazing! Decent size and filling of all the ingredients, it’s delicious! Thank you!

Return visit & had late breakfast for 6 of us, sat inside but lovely and airy, outside seating as well. Very friendly, great service considering just getting back into swing of things. We had mix of iced coffees, teas, avocado & poached eggs on toast, banana bread etc. Wish I was hungry enough for the veggie breakfast, looked great. We'll be back next time we're in Brighton.

Nice quality ingredients and the owner seems a genuine person who actively is interested in feedback to be able to make changes/improvements which is quite refreshing and authentic which I value.

Very cramped inside. The "waiting area" is merged with the dining in area. Long wait times to get your food. So not good if you're on a tight lunch break. If you look at the photo, you'll notice that they've placed the tissue paper over and inside the tuna melt. This is pretty stupid. Can't recommend.

Loved our brunch here today, better than last time I visited though can't put my finger on why. Friendly bunch, not super fancy but certainly better food than I'd prepare at home. Nice and peaceful inside. Decent prices too. Only thing could be improved - and it's a tiny thing - I'm not mad on the thick walled coffee cups, but that's me being fussy. Really enjoyed and will be back plenty more in future

Discovered this little gem today and will definitely be returning! Had a lovely elderflower iced tea with frozen berries, mum had iced coffee (a variety of milks were offered), and we shared a massive ceasar salad that I was allowed to change up adding and removing a couple of bits (highly recommend adding halloumi!). Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the vibe was beautiful. Will be visiting again for sure.

This place has a really lovely vibe, the young waiters here today were very friendly and smiley! I'm fussy when it comes to how my eggs are made but they were cooked to absolute perfection and I was very happy about the generous amount of marshmallows on my hot chocolate. Would 100% recommend!

The food, service and atmosphere are all great. Since we discovered this place my girlfriend and I have been coming for breakfast whenever we get the chance. If you are after somewhere chilled out with amazing food then look no further. The omelettes especially are incredible!

They were really helpful in making cheese on toast for my child even though it wasn't on the menu, all the staff are so friendly and lovely and the lunch items we had were very fresh and tasty. The steak pasty was delicious as was the granary baguette with brie, cranberry and bacon. The jacket potato was also nice, and the ambience is really enjoyable. The woman that served us (I believe her name is Asha) was a total ray of sunshine, so pleasant and it was just a real stand-out interaction for us, just want her to know we think she's lovely! Love the Christmas decorations too, a must visit for a light bite or lunch if passing through this part of Brighton

If you get a chance to ever visit the Laine Deli be sure to get a sandwich with their fresh pesto in it...AMAZING!! The bread is fresh and the you really get a quality meal when you leave. It's not somewhere to go if you in a rush or if you want to take it away since they are really geared to have you eat in. Would recommend and look forward going back and trying more things on the menu.

Had their soup of the day today which was Minestrone with some parmesan shavings. Absolutely amazing, great portion and beautifully presented! Accompanied by a delicious latte made by a very friendly young waiter. Would definitely recommend!

Stopped in here for a spot of lunch on a busy Saturday. Fabulous place - huge range of sandwiches (exactly what we fancied). I had the crostini with hummus, roasted veg and halloumi and it was fabulous. Service was very friendly too. Only downside was the dog at the next table - fine on the floor but not on the table please :(

There was lemon juice in my tuna toastie! I have never felt posher. Staff are really lovely and talkative, nice lot of food, but toastie could have done with a bit longer in the heat as cheese wasn't melted at all.

Me and the girlfriend took a spontaneous night to brighton, came here the following morning for a light bite and a good coffee. The food was fantastic and the iced latté with a shot of vanilla syrup was out of this world.. honestly! If you're nearby, pop in!

I love this place. When you get off the train it's just a few minutes walk. The coffee and hot chocolate is what we order, great, friendly staff, nice dinning area outside so you can people watch, and enjoy the sunshine, or eat indoors . The food is good, lovely breakfasts.

Visited this cafe for lunch after a quick visit to Brighton. Although 30 mins before closing they were happy to accept us as sit in customers. The food arrived about 15 mins after we did and it was clearly freshly made. My baguette had a lovely taste and the chilli mayo was amazing. My wife had an excellent Salmon Crostini that came with a very tasty Raita. I will definitely be back on my next trip to the south coast.

Can't fault the food, but the service isn't customer focused. Today I sat outside for 30 minutes waiting for a sandwich, not knowing that the one I ordered was given to someone else. I didn't even get offered a goodwill, like a free drink or anything, for the 30 minutes I just wasted sitting on their terrace. Perhaps they need to start taking peoples initials when they order.

I'm sorry but £7.40 for one piece of toast, a scraping of avacado and two eggs is not good value for money. The food itself was quite tasty but felt quite ripped off..

I wouldn't bother with the breakfasts here. There are so many other local places to go where you get a better selection, and more included for your price at the same if not better quality. The service was fine, as was the coffee.

I had the cooked breakfast ever in brighton the other day....went there with my little two years old niece and ordered a babicino for her and breakfast for me...little did I know I was in for a great treat...a well presented English breakfast came along....good quality sausages, perfect crisped bacon, amazing and tasty poached eggs, well toasted bread and deliciously roasted wine tomatoes...to finish it off the chef had sprinkled the dish with dry little colourful petals flowers...it is also worth mentioning the staff..friendly, quick and attentive to my little niece's needs and mine...I will surely go back there soon since quality, atmosphere and price are next to none

Stumbled upon this place by chance but glad we did. Very friendly and efficient service, decent portions and all the food we had was very tasty. Nice quiet location away from the hustle and bustle and a very nice outside seating area which was a real sun trap!

Service was painfully slow. Waited 30 minutes for a toastie despite there not being a queue. Food was good but the service was shocking.

I eat here on a very regular basis. Incredible lunches for under a fiver. Satisfied every time. Will keep coming back unless something goes horribly wrong. Service with a smile and only ever a minor wait, even at the lunch rush. Fantastic!

Decent breakie. Small if it's not nice out, but if it is the tables outside are a real suntrap so close to the station.

Just had my usual: Lemon Chicken and Avocado on sliced granary, it is incredible, probably the best sandwich shop in Brighton which is saying something as Brighton is not short of Sandwich Shops. Well done Dominic and the Team!

When it's sunny this is a great cafe if you want something to eat and watch the world go by. Good vegan options (including vegan sausage rolls) and great espressos.

Pretty underwhelming sausage roll, 60p for the privilege of getting it over zapped in the microwave.
