I bought my new guitar from No. Tom and when it developed an issue that ws not my fault or theirs, they took ti back and sent me on my way with the same make and model no questions asked. They were very professional and friendly and I would gladly go back again when I need anything in regards to music.

I've been shopping at No.Tom's for years; every time I am in London it's a must go. I've purchased two guitars and numerous effects. No BS, honesty and a pleasure to chat with every visit. My most recent purchase was a 74 Gibson J45 that they mic'ed up for me within an hour of purchase. I've recently used this guitar in the studio for my upcoming album. I have the say the purchase was a long shot cuz I could not test it out with the other instruments on the tracks before buying, but it had great sound and super cut through so was the right tool for the job. Outplayed many other guitars we tried. Thank you guys! I'll see you again very soon! Nothing but gems!

Got some lovely old retro guitars in here. I love guitars and coming face to face with some of the top guiarists guitars you've seen on TV or at concerts and being able to look at them and the detail and workmanship and best of all here, play and handle them. ( I've died and gone to heaven).

Destiny brought me to the shop, spent 3 hours in a nice quiet corner, tried out 6 legendary Fenders and decided to take a 1966 PBass with satisfaction and joy. Great help from Jacob, Joe and Chris. The journey hasn’t completed yet as I am waiting the shipping overseas and should meet it in early Feb. Can’t wait to open the box at home plus another trip back No TOM for another axe hopefully :)

Always like to have a look at what they have. A lot of the good stuff never makes it to their website, just gets snapped up - so worth going in to look. Take all my guitars there for servicing & repairs....ask for Gerald - he knows his stuff. I've taken in an unplayable guitar bought on a whim off Ebay. Good, but seriously in need of fixing. Two weeks later picked it up, better than when it was new.

They're so nice! They didn't only let me try their stuff, but also gave me lots of interesting information. I'll probably visit their shop again and get something I like.

Bought a beautiful Gretsch tenor banjo here - such a special instrument that I know I would not have been able to find anywhere else. On top of this, Chris went out of his way to hunt down a case that would fit it perfectly. I now can't imagine going to any other store to find vintage instruments; such helpful staff and incredible instruments.

The finest guitar shop in Denmark Street... and probably London! An a amazing den of rare and fascinating instruments. Genuinely helpful and friendly staff, who put the extra effort in to help. The repair shop is also second to none, I've had some tricky repairs done with great skill (that other shops wouldn't touch).

Long overdue review. I purchased a beautiful Gibson G3 bass from here last year. It was priced well and even nicer in person than on the net. Ron was a pleasure to deal with. From Melbourne Australia

A very pleasant and civilized place where so many people come and go. Great guitars. Sold a dearly loved acoustic there recently, the staff responding to the quality of sound and craftsmanship.

No.Tom guitars is a gem of a store in the heart of London, full of fantastic guitars and high end pedals. The service is absolutely great and warm and welcoming staff in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are all very knowledgeable which makes the buying process as smooth as can be. Previously bought vintage guitars that have played and sounded like a dream, you can really find hidden treasures in this store. Recently purchased high end pedals and very happy with the product due to the consultation given. If you have not visited No.Tom guitars before I highly recommend you do.

Ordered a strat and got it overseas to Belgium the very next morning! Saw a beautiful Sherwood CS green strat from the site yesterday morning. Didn't have any specs next to the pictures but Ron was kind enough to get the Fender spec sheet and walk me through all the details of the guitar over the phone. Ordered it around 12pm and it got shipped in what must've been 15 mins later because to my surprise I received it morning next day in Belgium. The guitar is in stellar condition, very well packed and the specs are exactly as I imagined. I now have an instrument for life. Highly recommended!

Good selection of old and vintage guitars, a good place to stop by and look for rarities. The sole staff member present gave me the impression that my very presence in the store was an inconvenience, as were any questions I had. Just plain unfriendly. If the shop has what you want, you probably won't find it in many other places. Would not stick around for the company though.

Excellent staff. I'm a starter and was looking at a few Faiths. Although I didn't buy one (I'm after a sigma), the staff there were very friendly and let me try anything I wanted without pushing me around which happens all the time with most music instrument stores I've visited. Highly recommended.

Great guitars, great prices, great service. I bought/snapped up a Gibson Les Paul R7 here last November and this business and their after care service for my guitar happily installed the pickups and strap lock system I use. Their friendly service also makes shopping here a positive experience.

Popped my head in today, received a warm welcome from staff who were extremely helpful and gave me the chance to have a go on the gear that we talked about. Homely environment, zero stress, walked out with what I went in for.

I went into the shop today to try some guitars, the guy who worked there was very nice and we got into a conversation about the value of one of the instruments I was trying. The guitar was priced at 1995 pounds and I said casually that I saw a few of those for about a 1000 pounds. I wasn't even bargaining, it was just a casual point I made as part of the conversation. At the end the nice worker went to the other room to talk to the owner, who then walked toward me, snatched the guitar out of my hands, and said something like "if you can buy it for a thousand you should work for me" in an extremely rude tone. This store is notorious for their outrages prices but I didn't expect such treatment. Wow.

I respectfully disagree with the previous review. In my all my years of visiting guitar shops, No.Tom is hands down the most welcoming guitar shop I’ve ever experienced. I’ve never been told not to touch a guitar, in fact, I’ve always been encouraged to. Also, their knowledge of vintage instruments & pedals is second to none. Although I’ve yet to buy a guitar from them, I always feel at home when I stop by.

Best shop on Denmark street. Not pushy at all, unlike some other shops and they were more than happy for me to try out their guitars. My guitar broke and I was given a new one instantly. Ron and all the other guys are really helpful and friendly. Thank you!

A fantastic range of vintage and new guitars and high end effects. Wasn't allowed to play or touch anything, which is perhaps fair enough. But getting information about pedals was like trying to extract information from a brick. Other musicians in our studio had similar experiences but I suspect that on the right day, when the owner is in, you'll benefit from a lifetime of high end guitar experience and knowledge which is sometimes rare to come by.

It's a good shop. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. The stock of guitars is very good and they are very keen for you to have a go and try the instruments for yourself. They have some lovely stock there across a fair variety of pricing.

Went in to trade my jazz bass and Dobro in for a nice guitar. From the get go they tried their best to RIP ME OFF! When I was looking at a tele deluxe, the young assistant wrote the price they had bought it in for, on the palm of his hand and showed it to his colleague, whispering "that's how much we paid for it" he didn't realise I had seen him from the corner of my eye. They also told me my bass was 1976 when I knew it was 1974. I eventually took the tele deluxe as I really needed it for a new project. But I left feeling RIPPED OFF! I'm still upset about it. What a bunch of con men.

Full-time professional session musician from Nashville TN visiting London on my honeymoon. Wanted to take a nice Tele as a memory back from the occasion and was met by a utterly disgusting staff. Super rude, not helpful, and judgmental about playing style comparing to one their “customers”. Asked kindly to try one of the guitars with a bit of overdrive: mentioned the demo amps tube was fried so the sound was “waspy”, so I asked for a drive pedal instead. Everything was ignored and one of the guys literally just flicked it to the other channel. As I asked for the pedal and complimented the guitar, the old guy asked sarcastically “you want me to just bring you the case and swipe your card then?” Addition to he story: Agreed to meet my wife back at the shop after a few minutes. The whole situation frustratingly drove me out of there and when she came back, she was met with them saying “he drove us mad so we got rid of him”. Not cool. I can take criticism for my playing with a smile, but the service the store gave today is just laughable. I do this professionally, including demoing for a variety of companies. You guys work in a da** guitar store, what do you expect?

In Denmark Street you can find a lot of guitar shops, I visited few of them before to find my guitar and often I didn't receive any help. Someone really didn't talk with me and someone else gave me some informations but without enough help. Then I found No. Tom! Just arrived and the guy immediately listened to me and helped me to find the right guitar. He didn't guide me to buy what I was looking for (I'm a beginner) but what was right for me! I paid the price with pleasure..good service from a guy who loves his job and transmits good vibe! Really satisfied!

Wow, this shop was a surprise for me. I was looking for a Strymon Big Sky reverb. On my first run, I skipped the place, because I missed the pedal cabinet. But this shop turned out to be the only place in the city with Strymon pedals off the shelf. I'm not a guitar player, but their guitar repertoire is outstanding even on this street packed with guitar shops. Well worth a visit and a look round if you happen to be close by. BTW, super friendly staff.

Staff were very rude, they sit playing guitar, expecting everyone who walks in to buy something and mocking those who don't (which is most people). Compared to other shops on the street who were very welcoming and friendly, these guys just seemed like they didn't want customers. I am in the market for a 60s mustang, but would never buy one from here. Avoid like the plague.
