The buy back process is straight forward. You know what you're getting and I have recieved a fair price a few times. No complaints with customer service - The rude staff from old reviews must have left they are all quite friendly now

Very rude staff member ( man with long hair). He took an very long time to do anything and undermined me through out being served.
I had some guitar equipment that I wanted valued. The offer he made me was a total joke. The staff member didn't even use the correct product name of the product give me a value. He refused to change his mind and just walked off.
I Called another company and got a more acceptable price and far better service.
Stay clear of this cash converters at all costs.

The problem with this branch of cash converters @ Mare St. Hackney is...., from calling the store on the phone to being physically in the store, there is a level of service that is totally pathetic..!
1) When calling them it’s extremely unlikely that anyone answers in the first 1/2 hour!
2) When and if anyone answers they are really quite incompetent or unhelpful and just generally uncaring and plain rude sometimes
3) when at the store in person they tend to prefer chatting amongst themselves and unhelpful to the point you have to be very vocal to get assistance

Disgusted by the way I was spoken to - bought a laptop online from them and it arrived without a charger - called to try and resolve the issue - manager of the store shouted over the phone 'I DON'T CARE'

The staff are professional and polite. I noticed they can work under pressure. They are very good at their job. I have also noticed if there is a queue it's best not to interrupt them, and wait until they are ready, they are only trying to do the best they can. Anybody with problems worrying about debt and money issues. It's good that they are there, it's an option.

Staff are always helpful and respectful to me, that's all I ask.
The staff work in a field surrounded by desperation so there bound to have a certain attitude if your rude or difficult with them.
You don't like the offer given? Then be more responsible with your cash people and you won't need to go there.

I’ve been here a few times, and it’s as if the staff don’t know any better than being plain rude to customers. I wonder how they even make money! They don’t seem to pay any attention on who is waiting or how long you have been waiting. When they serve you, they take their time about everything... completely ignoring the fact that the queue is getting longer and longer.

Hi . I recently have been visiting this store to use the services and have received great service and am a extremely happy customer, all the staff are great at this store. The store manager is very friendly and professional and I have received outstanding service and help and support from a memberange of staff called Gabbi I believe, extremely professional, accurate and very helpful on many occasions, not only once but always giving her best to help and support evry customer that walks through the door. I believe she should be employee of the year and maybe she is! Thanks for all your hard work and support and information needed when in store.I definitely would carry on using your services.

Staff are rude and completely clueless. The staff member at the till had no Idea what a classical guitar was and told me confidently that there was no such thing despite there literally being one behind her head.
One member of staff with support from a manager offered me 100 pounds for a 1000 pound guitar because the strings were loose. I offered to tune it for her which would've took 30 seconds but I was told that it wouldn't change the offer.
I'm surprised Cash Converters allows their brand to be devalued like this.

This place is so bad that I called up management of cash converters when they didn't even test there broking head phones the first pair didn't work 2nd pair had saturating so what do I get the woman to the ring to call the police for scanning excuse me if I came you I have my bank next door I can prove payed for it next up discrimination people have Autsim and anxiety don't you dare say I'm crazy I am a customer who was just going out the head phones were damaged I did not ask for a refund I wanted respect but it's clear your crooks like the fact you say you test your projects but you refuse to put them in so you are not testing your second hand stuff for faulty or broken which in its self will permit my damage your business well I have one thing to say avoid this place. The people know who work here are crooks they do not deserve work and them losing there jobs is best for society not me but everyone the other reviews seem to say other wise.

Hey i ignored the reviews on here and I soo regret that I did, I went into sell my first hand curlers which have never been used or opened and are worth £25-£30 but the guy inside offers £5 only and when some other guy sells a junk phone that don’t even work and looks like trash they buy it for £15 and they also brought a pair of junk glasses for £40 off some guy and glasses were dirty and really nasty and they been used so badly literally but they won’t accept a brand curler and barley used straightener with hardly any marks or any sign of usage... And the customer service over the phone is terrible, the woman try to give me excuses and told me they sell my items on eBay, she’s acting like she could tell me what to do and what not to do when she has no right, these staff need to be trained and learn that the customer is always right and that shop literally stinks with the junk and is full of it, I might as well go to a junk yard sale or something then go to cash converters ever again. Also lastly my mum brought a blow dryer from there two times and the first one stopped working within the day she brought it, the second one lasted about 3 weeks and stopped working. Seriously this place needs to be shut down as they also buy items off thief’s but they do not buy clean items, I don’t know why but please do not go on here, even if you need quick cash.. your better off with eBay..

This store is not professional at all. The issues are 1 after another here. Problem is this is my local cash convertors so that's the only reason I come here . Please do not go to this store or do business here unless you want to have problems. Firstly you close 5.30 .... I came 5.15 to buy my item back and left from work early and you tell me I can't as you are close in the buy back section BUT the section to take customers money you are open. This does not make sense . So u can open to take money and let customers buy but we can't sell as your business states you are lawfully open until late 5.30. The manager is a lady and she should sort this out. If you are open until late 5.30 then all parts of the shop should be open to customers until late 5.30 or change the timing of your shope and let head ofive know. Also I wanted to sell some items I carried yesterday all the way from out of London and when I came at 5.17 you said you have closed the buy back section but I can buy anything from the shop. You guys are taking the piss and are not professional at all. The black man at the buying section always days at 5.10 that selling buy back section closed. He needs to be sacoed. Another issue always ripping customers off. If something is average on eBay sold listing £100 to £150 why do you offer only £45 and all other cash convertors will pay £75. You guys especially the men there are the Ives, they think that it is there shop. What benefit are you getting from ripping us customersite oFflint or you are just dumb and can't calculate the price . The Asian boy and Micheal and the black man and European girl not store manager.

Do not go here. Half the staff are rude and totally useless and extremely slow it is actually a complete joke that anyone would go here, and then they give you about 10 % of the correct market value. Take the time to set up an eBay account and sell on there. You will get 10 times the amount and it will be quicker than dealing with these complete muppets.

The worst cash convertors , tho staff are very rude and treat customers like rubbish. They have no customer service skills and talk and mess about in the store and leave customers waiting. I was spoken very rudely by a male light skin worker and even swore at me. Terrible management and staff. I don't know why the company has not investigated this store and team after all the reviews and feedback. They really put cash convertors as a company in a bad light. This store is a racist store as I gave a product as same as the person in front for sale but where I was white I was offerd less money and when a sky why a lot of excuses came out and finally the male colleague was like we have 1 of these for sale now so that's why I'm giving you half of what I gave the black guy earlier, disgusting lot in there, even the new staff are trained by the light skin guy who's the bad Apple of the store on the buying side. Sack him and store should get better. 1 can ruin all!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID !!!!!!!! Rude manager, rude employees. Bought something online and when received it was not as described. Send ti back and I am struggling to get my money back. I am on my 3rd day when calling and sending emails. They been rude over the phone and the "manager" start raising his voice at me cause I told him he needs to refund as the item was not as described. They just write "sold as seen" in description and then you have to figure it out if it's anything wrong with the item judging the pictures that they are not even High Resolution. !!!!!! AVOID !!!!!!!

All the stuff who work here are extremely rude, unhelpful and have a really nasty attitude someone in the head office department seriously needs to look in to this as this should not be tolared customers are only there to trade and not deal with the unwanted attitude from all the staff in the mare street branch hackney I'd avoid going there at all costs the staff attitude there stinks. Never ever going there again!
