The frequent communication was always really positive & progressive in finding the best solutions to a complex purchase for us - and we are very grateful for all the patience and understanding.

If you wish to suffer from a large amount of stress, risk losing your house purchase, feel like you are doing the conveyancing yourself, send documents that take weeks for the solicitor to find them, coming back to you to ask questions that you have already answered, then having emailed your questions to them and having them ignored. Then go ahead and employ Uzma Malki from Borough High St. London SE1 as your conveyancing solicitor. Never again! It has been almost a year since I commissioned them to complete my father’s probate. My poor review is based on three counts: 1] knowledge and experience. They were inexperienced enough to think my father’s will was contentious but after several weeks they realised it wasn’t. The will writer my dad had originally employed had simply used a standard form which MW solicitors had not come across before - much to the surprise of other probate solictors! Secondly - efficiency. When I commissioned them, I handed them a file with all the details relating to my father’s estate and an excel sheet with all costings with notations and source documents. Plus we had used the Government’s Tell Us Once service which notifies all the relevant agencies such as HMRC, DVLC etc. and we notified other stakeholders such as insurance companies etc. MW had to notify the banks yet I was still receiving statements as late as 9 months after he passed away. Thirdly, communication- having written and called numerous times I did not get a response from the solicitor handling my case. Eventually I identified his boss and wrote to him. After inspecting my file the boss confirmed in writing the communication had been poor yet even after that I have not heard a single thing! What an indictment of the company if its service to those who are bereaved can be so cavalier, incompetent and thoughtless! Guy's team at MW were extremely efficient across the board in assisting me with my most recent property purchase. Not only did he offer a direct correspondence line to me but unlike many solicitors I have worked with in the past, I had no chasing to do at all - he followed up with all parties at rapid rate and was very fast in his turnaround time in all communications. A very impressive service and one I would recommend in the future without a doubt.

Highly recommended! Guy and his team are very professional and super helpful. I have used their legal services for the purchase of my first property - Guy always made himself available when I needed to speak to him over the phone or even when I needed to see him in person. This is an impressive service. I was in a new build H2B situation and the whole experience was fluid. I couldn't recommend McMillan Williams Solicitors at London Bridge more. Raam Kambi and Faheza Noorkhan from the New Build Department advised me through a very complicated and long purchase of a new property, keeping me updated of every step and constantly chasing developers. Completion date was delayed and developers were refusing to complete before receiving HTB funds, but Raam was excellent in enforcing a clause from the agreement so I finally could move in after months of waiting. Very pleased with their services.
