Hi Everyone! I applied my entrepreneur Visa, its extension and the final stage of ILR, through this firm. Dhruti [the head of their immigration team] had represented my [and my family's] case through all the three stages. George was part of the process during my Tier 1 Entrepreneur extension and ILR stage. This review is as candid as it gets so that the reader can make a well considered choice. I know choosing a law-firm to represent your case can be a nerve wracking exercise. Dhruti & George are brilliant at what they do. However, as an applicant, you are expected to do adequate groundwork on your case, as well. Have a full and detailed grasp on the home office guidance related to your VISA / ILR category. Make sure that you are not drawing the time of the legal team on the mundane. Time is costly here. Let them work on presenting the application as accurately and as much in detail to the Home Office so that the caseworker going through your case finds it a very succinct read. Within two days from the date my family and I went for our biometrics appointment at Home Office, we received intimation of our ILR application being approved [Although I was quite confident of the outcome, I had factored in around 6 months for the decision to arrive. More so with CoVID, Brexit etc]. Somewhere in between the process I am glad that I saved myself from falling for questionable firms like Westkin Associates. Such firms and a few others like it are not the ones, if you are looking at a partner [and not some junior associate] to be leading your case. I am glad that I had chosen Dhruti & George. Dhruti has an innate ability to understand broadly where you stand with the application. She keeps working tirelessly on the case until she is satisfied that it meets all the guidelines as laid by the Home Office. George is a man of absolute detail. He would telescopically analyse the case for its factual correctness. That said, please note that if you are searching for cheap law firms, they are not the ones you should be looking at. I was recommended by another friend to contact Christine from Edwin Coe. She helped me with my 10-years long residence application recently and I was very impressed by her work. I consulted them for my ILR application with a little bit of technical history. It was about £360 (excl VAT) an hour with a week prior notice to review all the facts and documents sent to them. George Curie and Dhruti Thakrar were the ones put in charge. The said consultation (on phone with Dhruti) was a blatant rip-off. You know when you are ripped of if your consultant begins to get the facts of your case wrong. You know you are ripped off if you end up enlightening your consultant on facts your matter in an expensive hourly slot. At the end of it, there was no legal insight offered from them. Surely, more is expected from such a reputed law firm. But they seem to profit from the vulnerability of people. My complaint emailed to them has not been responded to up till this moment. They don't care for you but for your money.

If you are thinking of using this firm for Insurance Litigation my advise from experience is to stay far away from them. We agreed to an hourly rate, as soon as litigation took on full earnest they increased their fees by well over 10-15%, when protested they said it is on their terms and conditions that they are allowed to increase their rates, leaving us with no choice but to accept the higher rate as finding alternative team at that point was too costly. when ever asked for reference they said its confidential they cant give out clients names, they were completely off mark in advising the risk figures. Just stay away and think twice before instructing them. You can get the same results with a lawyer charging £200 per hour, the bulk of their fees goes to pay their high end rents and nice stationary, the judge never looks at either of them. Good Luck

We were unlucky that our lawyer from Edwin and Coe was so bad and delivered extremely poor results. Their fees are unjustifiably high (£350/hr for an associate, but they don’t tell you that the associate only has one year’s experience). The partner does not get involved in cases except when it involves chasing for payment as soon as they have sent their invoice.

Superb company, I can recommend with confidence.
