I had a dreadful experience with this company. The work received was late, and incorrect, as well as very expensive. Shambolic accounts system, with unpaid fee invoices left for several years resulting in huge amounts of time being wasted. The level of service is not reflected in the excessive fees charged for the range of professional services. We very much regret instructing this company to act for us.

Great company with really wonderful staff. They helped me set up my sole trader account when I started doing freelance cinematography services. All of the staff we're really patient in explaining procedures and the at times confusing British tax system and answering all questions, even the ones that are probably silly. I can't recommend them enough.

Used for 3 years now for my business and always had a professional and efficient service at a reasonable cost.

Called them on September 24th to try and get some help with US taxes. They said I would get a call back shortly...waited all day and thought they would call me back the day of, but they didn't. Called them back the same day and I was told that the accountants call people back in the order they receive requests and that it may be a few days before I hear from someone. I waited until October 6th and called them again because I still didn't get a call back. I told them I called before and they told me "Oh that shouldn't have happened. Let me take your details and someone will get a hold of you in the next few days." I waited all week and didn't hear a word. I called them again on October 12th and I was told some fabricated story as to why no one had contacted me in 2 and 1/2 weeks. They then told me someone would call me later in the day. I am writing this review on October 13th and I still haven't heard from them. I have decided that this company can't even hold to their word and the fact that they haven't attempted anything in the way of calling me back I have realized that if they can't even hold to their word to call someone back then why would I trust them with any important information. Jefferys Henry LLP is not a trustworthy company.

I went to JH for accounting advice after my Dad passed and I was anxious about receiving additional overseas income from my inheritance. I was quoted £750 for the first year and £600 thereafter. Due to a resignation within the company and various issues, I didn't receive the advice I'd requested and instead JH just decided to complete two personal tax returns. This took up a lot of my time and was not at all smooth-sailing. HMRC sent me a letter notifying me that I did not in fact need to file in the future - this was expected as I had not received any inheritance yet and so didn't need to be concerned about the additional income. The worst part was when the bill arrived - it was for £1800 - JH had decided to bill me per return. I paid £1400 under protest and am having to take them to the small claims court to try and resolve the issue. I challenge anyone to find an accounting service that charges £600-£750 for an individual tax return. In their refusal of my claim JH said that their rates as a mid-tier accountancy firm are competitive... yeah, right.

I called as I WAS interested in this company, I called up and the guy I was advised to speak to did not answer so I left a message, couple hours later I didn’t hear anything so I called back the lady said oh he’s now on lunch I’ll take your number and get him to call you back, still no phone call back. Lazy, and can’t be bothered to phone back a new client can’t imagine registered clients. When you see these kind of signs STAY AWAY!

Same as the last 1 star review.Left my details and a brief description said they would get the right guy to call me back and it didnt happen . Before you reply you will not see my name on your client sheet nor will you as a basic courtesy of a call back was too much for your practice.

Great company, I spent a lot of time here and I don't regret it! Had a lot of positive experiences!
