On arrival the welcome desk was extremely unwelcome. In fact, I would say frosty. I've no idea why! Lufthansa, if you're reading this, seriously, get this sorted as it was laughably unpleasant! The lounge itself was busy but fairly quiet so you could easily get some work done here. I didn't try the food but it looked ok, and there was wine and beer if you wanted it. Didn't see any magazines, but there were newspapers.

Considering this lounge is located in the Premier Terminal 2 of Heathrow one would expect an experience rivaling that of Lufthansas hub lounges. I have been to this lounge at least a dozen times and it is almost always overcrowded, especially in the supposedly more exclusive Senator area. The amenities provided are fairly standard for a Star Alliance lounge and I honestly wish there would be a barista or bar to compliment this location. Still, it's a welcome respite when traveling from Heathrow.

The lounge is quite spacious, but was busy and all the lounge seats taken. Free seating only at the dining tables and bar stools.
Food was poor. Thin soups that looked unappetising, stodgy mac & cheese, rice and some mixed veggie/chicken stir fry.
There is a complimentary bar with usual spirits ,wines, and draught beers.
If you're hungry, you're much better off going elsewhere and coming back here just for a drink and somewhere to sit while you wait for your flight
No where as good as the various One World lounges in T5 / T3, though seems to be comparable with most Star Aliance lounges I've been in.

Very classy lounge I spent around one hour there and it was good, free speed WiFi, variety of nice food and drinks plus the different types of setting arrangements for everyone convenient.
The only problem was that most of electricity plugs was not working ????
