Duncan at KAP Suzuki Brighton is an experienced car salesman with a real passion for cars. He is very knowledgeable and it was great to have a car buying experience where I was talking to a fellow petrolhead! He also managed to find me a brand new Swift Sport in the colour I wanted (yellow, of course) in less than 2 weeks. Very impressed!

Been getting my car serviced and MOT’d for the last few years at KAP in Hove. Always a great service and don’t have anything negatives to say about them. The guy who usually answers the phone (I think it’s Ian or Andy) is particularly helpful & hardworking, as I’m sure the rest of the team are. They always go the extra mile to fit me in quickly and always do the work to a high standard. Great, honest garage - don’t see me changing any time soon.

Today Friday 22nd may 202 , I visited Suzuki for a new rear screen wiper blade. In the showroom there was only Andy who was dealing with other customer & also answering the phone. He fitted my new Blade very quickly & noticed that my car had bird muck on it, so he used the power hose to completely wash my car, he also used my touch up paint to cover a chip on my bonnet, after that he reset both my two clocks which were running an hour behind. All together an excellent service bearing in mind I only came for a new wiper blade. On my previous visits for a service on my Suzuki which I did not purchase from Kap, everything was carried out to my total satisfaction. A great all round service. Ken Bomzer - Antiques et Cetera

KAP (previously Maxmatt) have done the annual servicing and MOT on my Suzuki for the last 8 years - I've always received good service and Andy, the service manager, has always been extremely helpful. Despite being extremely busy last week due to staff being furloughed he helped find a cost-effective solution to a failed ABS pump, which would otherwise have been very expensive, so I'm really pleased.

Thank you for your help tihs week. Although my car failed its MOT you were quick to realise that the part required was still under warranty - you then phoned a local Suzuki Franchise Garage and arranged for them to order the part and booked me in with them to have the part replaced. Once done, and as requested by you, I returned to you without booking an appointment for the MOT to be completed. Thanks Andy great service.

This is by far one of the worst garages I had the displeasure to be with. After saving for a few years, and struggling through it with a very old car, I have managed to pay for a Ford Fiesta in cash around £7000, exactly as I wanted, and dreamed for. The purchase was easy and effortlessly, I even got all the extra packages, like guarantees, and other perks. But came after wasn't so pleasant... a few days pass by I noticed the A/C wasn't working, they fixed it, but their customer service wasn't has great has wen I bought the car, they seem to just excuse themselves, saying they haven't noticed was like that. They have noticed one of my tyres where low, and because I couldn't afford to fix a puncture (what they said would probably be), that would cost me £30 from them, I just keep blowing the tyre every couple of days. I went to a lovely second hand tyre place, where they said wasn't a puncture but a valve issue. i went to the KAP garage and informed them was a valve issue, and this issue was since I bought the car, they didn't want to ear about it, was handy that I had the guarantee, or I would have to pay for it. they dismiss any responsibility, when they know the tyre was like this from day one, as I was there only a few days after purchasing the car with the A/C issue. Anyways I'm not for complaining, I just did what I was told. They changed the valve, but just before I arrived home, the indicator light went back on, and lets just say I lived half hour away, petrol isn't something that comes cheap either, specially when you paying it to resolve mistakes from others. KAP then said they would have to order a valve from Ford, why they haven't this in the first place, I have no clue. So then again I had to came back another time. They said they would call when it arrives, but they never had, I had to call, after a few good days, and yes the valve was there, arrange to get it fixed, drove there they changed the valve, and again by mid way home the light was back on, again I had to use my time and petrol to get back, they apologise said they haven't reset it. And again, why haven't they done this in the first place? Mid way home it went back on. I called and said was on, but couldn't came again as I had to work and was wasting a lot of petrol and money on this. Comeback another day, they checked, said was do to rust, so they clean the wheel, this time they remembered to resent it, so it was ok. And it has been working. Meanwhile my driver side speakers went off, I did polite ask if they could have a look, wish they did very kindly, they said wasn't the speakers, was the wiring, but would be quite costly, so I left it, but hours later I have noticed the damage they made in the door, the plastic door handle has been dented. I was now furious! I went back and show them the damage, and to my surprise the gentlemen says: 'how do we know wasn't like this before?" I had no words for this... why should have I done this to my now door? I've just paid so much money in cash for this car! I don't mind the time I loose going there and have things fixed, sometimes we just have bad luck, but is the way they have handled my situation, rarely apologetic, ever a smile, or understanding, like if I was bothering them all the time, like if I was doing this on purpose. I was there wasting my time and money and they just taken it all for granted. They have taken pictures of the door handle, and said they order one, and contact me when is there, wish I knew would never happen. And they never did! They just don't care about you. A good few days pass by, and I saw another big damage in the door, in the paint, was all scratched. I haven't noticed because its slightly hided. When I realised my heart dropped, how can they make so much damage to someones property? I give up, I rather spend double of the money at Fords, than be treated so purely, made feel absolutely worthless and guilty.

Had a good beginning buying my used car that had been a part exchanged from someone else I then had to get the brakes done whilst in warranty but they paid for the half of the work to be carried out as I could of had a cheaper fix and I chose not to. I then travelled home after and a wheel trim had come off and was damaged, due to them not putting it on properly. I rang and was told yes they would order me one, then a week later I called again, nothing, they didn't even know what was talking about and took my number yet again. Told again 1 would be ordered, but still nothing. I then had to order a pack of 4 as I got so fed up with their lies. This is very trivial but their aftersales has left me disappointed. However much money someone spends it doesn't matter, it wasnt my fault.

Purchased a BMW 420D from Duncan at KAP Hove, he was very helpful and the car is fantastic! I part exchanged my old car and was given a fair price for it, reserved the car with a £500 deposit and the collection process was very easy. Took roughly 30 minutes, had a good look at the car whilst Duncan inspected mine. Then agreed a deal and the rest was very straight forward. The car was missing a key which Duncan had informed me about, he had ordered a new one from BMW which was delivered to me 3 days after I collected the car. Overall very satisfied with my purchase from KAP Hove!

The sales department, and in Particular Duncan, are excellent, and really helpful. Nice, easy process with no pushy sales tactics. Very happy with that. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the after-sales area. The Ford I bought had various issues soon after buying it which cost over £400, which a large Ford dealership confirmed could only have been as a result of errors in the last place it was serviced (i.e. KAP). It soon became apparent that as soon as you've left the KAP dealership, they want nothing more to do with you. Every excuse and 'used car dealer' response in the book came out, with zero care for the customer. This went right to the top in the KAP group, so it's clearly run in that way. Sales first, customers last. Just be really careful buying a used car and take a mechanic with you to check the car before you buy it!

Buying a car based on an advert and just speaking to a salesman can be a stressful thing. Especially when it's over 150miles away, you're exchanging and you want everything to be just perfect. However from start to finish Duncan Pitfield at KAP Suzuki in Brighton was honest, professional and pleasure to deal with. The car was exactly as described and ready for collection when I arrived after a long journey. Paperwork was carried out with a lack of fuss and a good introduction to the car was given with all questions answered or searched for on my behalf. Both before and after sales email correspondence and communication has been excellent and Duncan in particular came in on his day off to deal with a query for me after the sale. Absolutely would buy from KAP Suzuki again just because of how helpful the staff have been. It also helps that the car they sold me was stunning. Keep up the good work guys!

Many thanks to Duncan he his a top bloke !! Bought my BMW from him which was exactly as described , Duncan gave me a very good price on my part exchange this was all done over the phone . The next day I decided to cancel the car because of the distance I had to travel I rang KAP motor group and was told Duncan was on day off but the sales man I spoke to said he would proceed with the cancellation. Duncan called me when he was back in work to see if we could sort something out because the BMW I was buying was I very special car with every option and I really did like it so after many text messages and WhatsApp messages we arranged for Duncan to deliver the car to me in Manchester and take my my car with him a couple of days before delivery I had to go to North Wales I explained to Duncan and he said "no problem I will deliver it there" which he did and all went nice and smooth. A couple of days after purchase I noticed the heated steering wheel was not working and text Duncan who booked in to my local BMW dealer and also arranged a loan car for me to use all fixed now . Thanks again Duncan .

I test drived a Vitara two weeks ago with Duncan, the car was very nice to drive, and Duncan was very thorough explaining the car's 'attributes' , answering all my questions, and he was relaxed during the driving. I decided in the end to go for a very different car, but the next one may be a Vitara.

Really disappointed - I had a car accident and went straight to KAP as I purchased my car from them earlier this year. On the day, they were very helpful with my insurance claim call and then they said they would contact in 2 weeks to book to fix my car. The 2 weeks passed, I was left waiting for many weeks. I contacted repeatedly from the 2 weeks onwards. Each time I was told I'd be called back and at no point did I get a call back. This happened for 7 weeks until I gave up and went with my insurance provided garage and my car got sorted within 2 weeks. KAP were an absolute waste of my time and unbelievably useless - they never did contact back, I won't be returning, such a shame.

Edit Feb 2018 - this based has seriously gone down hill. Staff - I'm happy with, management in the background - they need to go. 3 days and 3 sales letters offering a good rate service - thanks, but I don't need to be reminded everyday about a vehicle I no longer own. State of the showroom - spend some money on maintenance. Cleaning is not going to fix lighting, it's not going to fix damaged floor tiles. FYI anyone looking at the reviews - look at the dates - KAP took over ownership Jan 2016. Maxmatt was a brilliant garage - lets hope KAP carry on a good tradition.
