Made a booking online for a full service and MOT, a month ago. Received a phone call to confirm the date and time of the appointment. Arrived on the day of the service only to be told that my booking was not on their system. Frustrating, but have to say that the young lady at the service desk was very good indeed, professional and courteous. My service was done that day. Not quite sure how a reservation (with a confirmation call!) can be lost, and certainly something they need to sort out quickly. Since posting this review, I had a very courteous call from Tates Brighton to apologise about the mix up. I was impressed with the service overall and did like the video made by the engineer sent to my phone, with the option for me to select which item I wanted fixed right away. In view of this, I changed my review to 5 stars. Well done Tates Citroen Brighton!

I recently acquired a new citroen c4 from tates citroen in Brighton. Salesman Callum Smith was amazing. He took me through every step from ordering to collection. He keep in contact and regularly updated me on what was happening and how long till my car would be ready. When I collected the car he took me through all the new gadgets and gizmos the car has to offer and ensured I was comfortable with them before I left. He always had time to listen to my questions and answered in a way that made sense to a car novice like myself. Can't recommend them enough. Thank you so much.

Poor knoweldge regarding electic vehicles. 200 miles quoted, 135 reality in winter and ignornant when it comes to fast charge. Happy to brush you off that you should do the research and that 'no-one should be doing a 400 mile round trip in an electric vehicle!' So why bother buying one?

It was our first meal since lockdown. We had a good time staff friendly, they needed more bar staff, so it took quite a time to get served as he was seating people as well. menu seemed a little limited, sirloin was no longer available,but rump was. The food came quickly and the gammon steak was double the usual thickness, but delicious! Recommended for families as they really looked after us.

I went for an MOT. They tried to charge me £20 for a bulb change, £160 for a replacement horn I didn't need (it was only unplugged) and £420 for a replacement headlight. I did the repairs myself for £31.50. Avoid if you dislike being robbed.

As a family we were in a desperate need for a larger car to have space for our new babies arrival. Met with Ashley who really was excellent in helping us find the perfect car and sort out a cracking deal. And the way he went out the way to keep things simple was just brilliant. Can’t speak highly enough of them and would recommend to anyone. Will be back in the foreseeable future.

I have just purchased a DS7 Crossback Ultra Prestige and to say I am over the moon with it is an understatement! To get so much luxury and a very comfortable drive for a great price was just what I was looking for. Callum is an exceptional Sales person with plenty of knowledge and patience with no pressure, which is why this is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from him. Have been dealing with Tates with the purchase of 3 work Citreon vans over the last 5 years . Have had numerous problems with the electrics on the berlingo vans , one van was so bad in broke down across Europe multiple times and cost me thousands . When dealing with James at Tate and wanting a new van as this one was not fit for purpose their response was evasive and buck passing to Citreon Uk . I have know sold my last Citreon van and will never buy one again . Saying that the service centre is excellent and always offer great help.

We went in to inquire after a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso, we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who took us over to look at the car, he talked us through the options available on the different types of finances available. It was as though he actually wanted to help us and made us feel very valued. Great customer service.

5th gear wasnt working on my berlingo. Told them this before i booked in. All day to let me know that my van wouldnt go into 5th gear charge me £72. Then try and charge me an additional £290 to strip down my gear box, all that before they have even fixed it. Absolute joke robbing bunch, stay clear

Would recommend to anyone looking for used (or new) cars. Originally was just looking for a citroen c1but was a pleasant surprise that they deal in other cars as well! Often have to visit here when parts fall off the car as I drive for a living and they are open till 7pm. Staff seem helpful and friendly enough in a non judgemental environment. Can't comment on any other services they provide other than obtaining spare parts as I don't use dealers for services and MOTS and would recommend this place for spare parts.

I purchased a new car in 2012 a Citroen C3 over this period I’ve already had to have a new coolant system as it was overheating luckily enough this was in warranty recently I’ve had a warning light come on my car about the steering so I have taken it to citron which they have quoted me £2100 I’m a single mother with two children who doesn’t expect to pay this amount of money for a car That is only six years old and has under 40,000 miles on the clock. When I went into citron and explained the situation the sales assistant told me that this is a common fault with this model car and he also check to see if there was any recalls on my car which to me tells me that this happens a lot then I waited two weeks because they was going to see if they could do a good will gesture which was declined I have now been without a car for over six weeks. I have a car that retails for probably 8 to £12,000 which is now not worth a pound and is undrivable unless I pay £2100 to have a new steering rack fitted My advice would be not to buy a citroen as they are obviously not reliable cars

Disappointed with this company I got a car with them on finance and 6 months later the clutch died, we have a report from RAC stating that it isn’t human error and it had something to do with the bearings, we rang them today and checked as they told us when we bought the car we had a year guarantee. Now we have spoke to them they have informed us that because we were only 400 miles over the 10000 miles mark we were not under warranty, we wasn’t informed this when purchasing the car! So according to them if they were to do it the cost would be around £900. But they also said if they had a look at it and we chose not to go ahead with the repair we would receive the car back with the clutch hanging out.

Really helpful team sorted my car; explained the problem in simple terms but my car was returned to me with a sizeable scrape on the passenger's side. So disappointing after an otherwise positive experience. Someone should have let me know before I drove my car off their forecourt. A big shame. A little later; now it is all fixed! Great job Tates. They got back to me immediately and sorted the scrape -no trace of it now. Pleased with the service. ????????

My current PCP deal was up for renewal and went into my local citroen tates garage to discuss my options on a potential new car deal. Met up with tates salesmen Callum and Dealership manger James, to discuss what options were available to meet my specific needs. Ended up renewing my PCP deal with a newer version/upgraded version of a DS3 model. Cant thank the guys enough for their service, very professional and knowledgeable to help me through this transition period, with Callum going above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommend visiting this dealership, and I will personally be back once my new lease deal finishes!
