The housing and food were great for a drug rehab, however I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was a nurse who entered treatment voluntarily. I felt I received discrimination from SOME not all of the staff. I was made to feel as if my feelings and experiences did not matter nearly as much as them harassing me to turn myself into state boards, which I did. To sum it up my takeaway from the experience was to be looked down upon for suffering from the disease these ppl are supposed to be treating.

I am Brittany’s mother. It’s with broken heart to report and that she died January 12. OTC was wonderful!!! My only complaint was the medical staff was not willing to listen to me about treatment of her cluster headaches. Eventually they did contact her neurologist and treatment was given appropriately. It just took weeks before that happened so maybe if there is another client like that who comes to treatment they can get treatment quickly and correctly. Cluster headaches are not that common and are also called suicide headaches due to severe pain. It’s a terrible thing to have. But if treatment is rendered promptly and the right oxygen flow and meds (not narcotics) they can be stopped Hope that helps someone else. RIP my beautiful angel!!!!

I was blessed spiritually, mentally, and physically. Therapists and counselors did well. Special thanks to Ricky Clayton ( very good therapist), and Marilyn, both Katies (Great jobs), Kana, Maria, Johnny Mc... All of you were great. EQUINE therapy was great thanks Greg, Adam, And Marty. Thanks, Marty for all your help and encouragement and the one-on- one talks. Amy Willard is the best... Thanks for helping my family. This a great place to find yourself and help you get your life back.

Great experience overall being my first time in treatment. Has truly helped pave a new way of life for me. The staff and my counselor were very helpful once I started opening up about all my problems. I am now 9 months clean and I feel like a little kid sometimes just having fun sober but at the same time handle my responsibilities as a young adult.

Don't listen to the review of the girl before me, she was in Oxford for not even a week. She fought with everyone there and was very demanding. I completed 30 days at Oxford and got what I put in to it. I am 36 days clean today and owe it to the therapists at Oxford. You are not going on vacation, you are making a major change in your life so it's gonna be hard!

Went for safe medical detox for non-abused drug. Was told I would get personalized treatment. False. Was told I would get my cell phone returned after 24 hours. False. Did not get my phone until I discharged. They tried to extend my stay with unnecessary drug counseling by 30 days. I only found out that I didn’t have to do this once another patient told me I could just do a detox and leave. Then they tried to say I had additional “symptoms” and tried to add additional days. False. I left and immediately had to go to the doctor for a severe respiratory infection. The food quality was exaggerated but ok, however the cafeteria was not maintained properly and was sketchy with black mold visible on the ice machine. I only give 3 stars because we were free to walk about the campus and watch tv during detox and some of the nurses were very nice.

I went into treatment with the goal of getting straight and free from my addiction. I had the hopes of finding myself again, finding peace within myself, and reconnecting with God. Oxford treatment center in Mississippi gave me the opportunity to do so. Center definitely keeps you busy and focused on why you came there to begin with. Although , the staff was nice and helpful, there are a select that aren't so nice, and probably need to remember why they are there and who their patients are. The communication with staff is not good, everyone wants to push everything off on the counselors or someone else. And I personally don't agree with only 10 min phone calls every other day, Especially when you still have responsibilities in the outside world. All of the activities that they provide are amazing, Marty was my favorite. but all were very good and had great impact. I will say that I was lucky to have gone to Oxford treatment center in Mississippi to begin my journey of recovery. I was so glad to have gone when I did to be part of the wonderful people I met that were there for the same purpose. I couldn't have made it without all of them. My recommendation is to be prepared with all the things you need for the long stay, because there's no means to get the things you need, shampoo, person things ECT. All around the focus of Oxford is to get you to learn and be prepared about your addiction when you leave Treatment. Shout out to August September October 2017 Alumni!! thank you

Oxford Treatment Center in Etta, MS is A+ Our son went from jail to this facility, 7 months later he is still sober and doing really well. My wife, other son and I attended the family weekend which was excellent and needed information. I would recommend this facility to anyone without any reservations.

Oxford Treatment Center helped me so much physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I got so much closer to my higher power has well as my daughters and family. Everyone at the treatment facility was so welcoming and nice and knew what I've been through because most of the staff there that taught were addicts themselves. Everything from class to shoveling horse poop helped me one way or another in my recovery. I couldn't have gotten to where I am today without the help from OTC. I am currently in both of my daughters lives along with my family and siblings. I've mended relationships with people I never thought was possible and i have a dream job that i never that was possible either. I now have a better life than I could ever ask for and I couldn't have done it without OTC and my sober family I met through there.

What can I say? This place helped me save my own life. OTC taught me a lot. The horse program is outstanding. The facilites and rooms are nice, the staff cares and the classes work. One day at a time. If your thinking of getting help GET IT. If your sitting there reading this and thinking "This is where Ill go when the time is right..." go NOW and learn your self worth.

At the beginning, I thought it was an answer to my prayers for my daughter. When I saw her on visitation, she was happy, working the program and felt encouraged for the first time. They knew about her issues going in then they acted all surprised that she was fraternizing with males. They also did not know how to handle her high anxiety which they also knew going in. After taking over $2,000 out of pocket expense, they decided they couldn't help her anymore and kicked her out!! Said I had to come that day without any notice. When I told them I could get her the next morning, they refused! They sent her to the airport (her anxiety was out the roof at this point. She was scared to death) without even bothering to get her admitted somewhere else. I was left on my own when we picked her up at the airport. No surprised she relapsed and we are back where we started. They haven't even followed up on her. I was LIVID!!! So unprofessional!!

I was very happy with the experience I had at Oxford Treatment Center. Not only is it a beautiful setting, but the staff did everything to help me be successful while at the Center. They also worked with me on the best aftercare to fit my needs. I highly recommend Oxford Treatment Center.

I came in after a personal accident that led me to the hospital. I had used cannabis for five years before coming to treatment. Oxford has showed me a new perspective and a new way of life. It has been inspirational to see all the other perspectives and the care I received from staff was exceptional compared to past treatment centers.

I hope you or your family never has to face the despair of addiction, but if it does happen, The Oxford Treatment Center is here to help. The friendly staff and outstanding program will leave the addict or alcoholic prepared for a lifetime of sobriety. The facilities are first-rate and the campus is a beautiful environment to start the journey to recovery.

I cannot put into words how much the Oxford Treatment Center has changed my life. The staff are extremely helpful and caring and they have animals there to keep you company through the good and the bad that you go through in your early stages of recovery. Best of all, you feel like a family the whole time you are there. I still talk to most of the people i met there. When I decided to go to treatment I was scared but I found a home at oxford, and I can't thank everyone there enough. They will help you with addiction, as well as, self esteem, codependency or other hurdles in life that you might be facing. There is always someone to talk to and they have an amazing variety of sober livings that they know of when it is time to leave. I am now living away from home and have a steady job! I am also 1 year and a couple months sober, and I have to thank the Oxford Center for that.

I was pleasantly surprised by the sincerity and calmness of the staff at the Oxford Treatment facility. Every staff member I came in to contact with went above and beyond for me. Whether it was a shoulder to cry on, someone to listen to me vent, or a late night snack they were there. I was unsure of my decision to go in to treatment but by the third day I knew I was in the right place and that Id be well taken care of. I definitely recommend this facility to anyone whose willing and ready to make a positive change in their life.

Absolutely a top notch facility! The faculty is understanding, caring and empathetic to the disease of addiction. Many of the therapists and administrators are in long term recovery from drugs and alcohol as well. This allows the client to receive more than just a theoretical understanding of this devistating disease. In addition, the campus is comfortable, clean and state of the art. No one wants to be lectured all day so clients are encouraged to participate in nature walks, horseback riding, obstacle courses and many other outside activities. The food is top notch also. Mr. Charles puts out a spread worthy of a Michelin Star! I could go on and on but allow me to be succinct. The path to recovery can easily be found at Oxford Treatment Center!

This was my first treatment and it saved my life. I cannot ever thank everyone there enough for contributing to my recovery, though I will forever try to! The program, counselors, staff and facilities far exceeded any expectation I could have had. Being that this was my first treatment ever I had no other treatment center to compare this to, but from hearing from others in treatment with me who had gone to other treatment centers, I found out that the Oxford Treatment Center is a very special place. You may read other's reviews and they may focus on small details of complaint, but from this addict all I can say is that any complaint I would have would be of no importance as this was and is literally life and death for me. To the family of anyone needing treatment it's important to know that we are very sick people and through 30 days of treatment we will most definitely find things to focus on and distract ourselves because treatment and recovery are emotionally painful and difficult processes and one of the easiest distractions we tend to find are things to complain about. It's also important to understand that 30 days of treatment is only scratching the surface of what it takes to recover. I highly suggest educating yourself on a Sober Living program immediately following 30 days of treatment. This has enabled me to have a better fighting chance against relapse. All in all, the Oxford Treatment Center saved my life and it helped that I was willing to accept the help they offered. Thank you everyone at the Oxford Treatment Center, there is nothing earthly that I could ever give to repay this gift of life.

The experience wasn't perfect due to the inaccurate information and constant policy changes that leave the staff and the patients confused about some of the policies of the facility, but the people who work here can relate to the pain of addiction and understand what the patients are going through. They truly want to help and will go the extra mile to make you get what you need from the experience. I strongly recommend this facility to anyone whos ready to live a better life.

If you or a loved one is seeking help, do not go to Oxford treatment center. They say anything to get you into their facility and do absolutely nothing for you once you get there. My wife was sent to the hospital the second day after arrival. The doctor over the facility probably does not exist, my wife asked to speak to a physician for a week after her incident and never talked to anyone other than a nurse. This is the worst place to send someone you love to get help. I waited a few days and things did not get better for her, I drove 10 hours to get her out of their care. They only want your money. This place is like a prison camp with fights, belonging getting stolen, sex, and household chemicals to get high off of.

The Oxford Center and their sober living program literally saved my life. I was nearly dead upon arriving in Mississippi. If you're ready to change your life there is no other choice! Not only will they help you get clean and sober, but you will learn why you weren't in the first place. I made many lifelong friends here. My life will never be the same and I have the Oxford Center to thank. Special shout out to Emily (the detox nurse, im sorry I don't know your last name!) Jewel Jenkins and Anna Warren! Love you guys!

Where do I start? I guess with the good the food. That's it! Other than that all groups are repeated over and over every week. You only have a one on one with a therapist 1 time a week. I came on fmla and because I didn't like the way the place ran and decided to leave AMA (against medical advice) they would not give me the paperwork to finish fmla. So I still am not sure if I will have a job now that I decided to get BETTER help. This place talks all about patient safety is held high in regards except there are fights all the time with nothing being done. If anything is done it's just kicking them out. Then there is the theft problem they give you a small safe but all other belongings are pretty much fair game. And again nothing is done about the theft. You are unable to lock up any belongings but isnt true safety not just your self but also belongings. This place is only concerned about the money you pay. They do not try to diagnose in an individual manner no matter what everyone is the same. Please do yourself or loved one a favor and look for another facility

They genuinely care about all their clients and go above and beyond to help you achieve the primary goal you set out to accomplish. This is a wonderful place that really touched my heart. When I needed help I would stand up and say what I needed help with and the other patients were more than willing and the staff also stood up and helped. When I needed more one on one I asked and got it. I attended extra groups. The only complaints I have is there is miscommunication between staff and business office. If you are there to heal yourself and better your life this is the place I would send my own mother my son and my wife for treatment if necessary. I would recommend the oxford Treatment Center to anyone needing help weather for addiction or mental health and most defiantly for both.

For the most part the staff were magnificent. Unfortunately the few uncaring staff left an impression on me I won't soon forget. It was a life changing experience. I choose to give the place a good review because it would be sad to let the few bad apple staff ruin an otherwise positive stay. What you get out of it depends on the individual. When I turned down their reccomendation for aftercare I became a mistreated outcast. Facilities were great and again most of the staff were fabulous.

God used the Oxford Center to save my life. I came to Oxford with my mind body and spirit broken and they gave me hope. I arrived at Oxford Center May 11th 2014 and have not used drugs since that day. Each and every part of the program has been we'll planned and supported. Many different types of therapy allowed me to find what worked for me. BY THE WAY THE FOOD IS AMAZING! ????

Like any other addict I didn't like it when I first got there but I learned to love it. The staff was very knowledgeable of how you felt and helped you in every way if you let them. They became very good friends and a part of your family. The education that I received about addiction, the disease, was phenomenal, very eye opening!! The food and activities were awesome!!! I made lifelong friends that I will always stay in touch with knowing that I can count on them if I ever need someone to talk to. As Garry Reifers says, "you don't have to be enthusiastic, just willing ". That's something that I will never forget!!!

This is my 2end review.. but I'll do it again because nothing has changed from my last review. Oxford Treatment Center is a wonderful place. The staff is honestly careing human beings.. who trufefully want to help you anyway they can to beat addiction. Believe me when I say this because I can tell if someone is being fake. I was fake most of my life. So I know fakeness when i see it.. but to sum this review up. The grounds are beautifull. The rooms are really nice. It's just a a around beautiful wonderful place. The tools they gave me along with the knowledge to ues them has kept me clean for over a year now. I Ware my tool belt every day. I use them every day.. and if your only willing.. THEY WORK.. so love and respect to the staff at Oxford treatment center. You've helped me more than you will ever know.. THANK YOU!!!!

I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Please don’t send your loved ones here. It’s all about the money. While I was there someone died, people were having sex with each other because there was no supervision. No one on one time with my so called “therapist” my mom was literally one her hands and knees looking for a rehab for me, and AAC took advantage of it. They ARE 100% not a place you want to send your child. Also, these “5” stars are most likely fake as I had heard a staff member tell me that they are told to create fake reviews to lure people into this hell whole. I could say so much more but would like people to read this review, and go elsewhere for help.

My name is Chrissy. I tried hanging myself back in June. It worked and I was brought back. Because I didn't think I could live without my pills perk 30s I was up to 15 a day. They ran my life. I gave everything to the pills. I was sent to Oxford and it was the best gift of a second chance this place gave me my life back. I learned so much from Oxford they showed me I could lead a sober life and love it. The staff was awesome and the friends I made are ever lasting. I'm coming up on 210 days sober never thought I was going to ever be able to say that. THANK U OXFORD FOR BRINIBG ME BACK TO LIFE I can finally see the old me in the mirror again.

I have never taken such a major step to help myself. I didn’t even believe or foresee living a happy sober life was even possible. But it was either TRY or DIE ! It took me 3 days to pick which facility to literally entrust my life. It was such a important and permanent decision. I chose O.T.C. ,,120 days later I know I made the best decision I have ever made in my life . This is a very caring, peaceful ,laidback , and newly constructed facility. The staff was AMAZING from the Bhts ,to the nurses ,to the business office ,to the counselors, to the housekeeping. A SPECIAL thanks my counselor JOHN RICE who was there for me in my absolute darkest hour . IF YOUR LIFE IS A LIVING HELL, I’d advise for you to take a step back and let these kind folks give you a hand. I was hooked on alcohol, heroine, cocaine, pills, and gambling. I lost everything! Today I’m clean and sober and rebuilding! Best of all, IM HAPPY!!! Thanks to my OTC family.

They submitted the wrong document to our insurance company and then lied to us about filing an appeal. They said we could pay $15,000 out of pocket to finish treatment only to find out once we left that insurance was sent the wrong documents (outpatient care) and did in fact cover inpatient treatment. Our insurance also said they never received an appeal that we were told by the facility was filed for inpatient treatment. What a mess!!!! Glad we didn't opt to pay the $15,000 out of pocket when we have insurance that actually covers it. It's too bad that the business center is an absolute wreck because the facility is nice and my husband loved the counselors and group sessions. They get 1 star because they almost cost us $15,000 for no reason.

The OC helped save my life and support me through a very difficult time. They say only 1 in every 10 addicts make it. I’m so grateful they help me be that 1 to survive! They provided me with tools and helped me learn patience I needed to survive in the world. I remember saying to my mom all the time I just want to be normal! Well I can say today I am as normal as it gets! Thank you OC for helping me learn to love myself again! You guys rock!! ????
