I had bought a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland from the Somerset Don Franklin dealership, but This was before I had really understood this Automalls GAME! Don Franklin is an Auto mall, so they have locations in most cities around me operated separately but SHOULD work together. Since i live about 15 minutes from the Lexington location I had been in contact with them for the first 2-3 weeks of my hunt for the perfect SUV for me. Looking through their website I noticed they had a couple 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlands. One was a white one with 36k miles at the Lexington location, but was about 4-6k out of my price range since it was low millage. The other was a charcoal gray with 94k miles and perfect for my budget. I had told lexington that I would be going to Somerset to check it out. Of course they insisted that I let them bring the car to Lexington free of cost. I agreed and scheduled to see them the following day around 5:30p. I had not been feeling good that day, but I was excited to see this suv and buy it so I push to go. When I get there after waiting 20 minutes or so after my scheduled time, he pulls up with a very similar looking SUV but NOT the SUV I had requested. Also this was NOT mentioned to me when he greeted me and said he would be getting the car I requested yesterday. So now instead of seeing a 2014 Jeep GRAND Cherokee Overland they bring out a 20(??) Jeep Cherokee trail hawk, which for anyone who knows Jeep, knows that the two similarly named SUV are NOT similar at all in longevity and feature. So I of course immediately tell him this is not the suv that I’m interested in, to which he tells me that the Somerset dealership had sold the SUV I wanted last evening or that morning to a man who showed up with more than asking price in CASH. So of course I’m annoyed, especially since i was not feeling good that day already, then on top of that they WASTE MY TIME, by not telling me this with a simple phone call PRIOR to showing up to the dealership that EVENING when it was supposed to be delivered in the MORNING. when I had asked to test drive the white JGC that they knew was out of my price range, they DECLINED me instead of working with me to possibly buy that one. The next few days I notice the charcoal gray JGC was still listed on the Somerset site. I’m weary now, so I call to ask if it’s still on the lot, even asked the receptionist to personally take a picture of it on the lot for me because I did not want to make that drive for nothing. At this time I’m extremely upset with the Lexington dealership because I thought they had been the ones lying to me. On the contrary, the SOMERSET location had been the liars! As I was at Somerset, I had advised of what had happened at the Lexington location about them “lying” to me about the suv being sold here. At the time, I didn’t find it strange that they had NOTHING to say about my situation besides a chuckle here and there. Now that I know better they had been chuckling because they were the ones lying! Now I do somewhat blame Lexington for not doing their due diligence and double checking, especially since I had been able to check online and see it was still available, so should they have been able to do the same, But Somerset had the audacity to sit there and laugh in my face about something THEY HAD DONE. **Now although I mention I thought that Somerset had been the sole liars I now am starting to think that Don Franklin Auto mall as a WHOLE is made up of a bunch of liars! Reading other reviews apparently the SAME EXACT situation has happened to a few other customers as well! Where they are promised a transfer from Somerset to Lexington and then when they get there or call ahead are told Somerset sold the car the day before or that morning! Now I understand if they do not want to transfer the vehicle, but DONT BE SHADY AND LIE! **

I met With Jennifer Belcher, she was super passive aggressive the whole time. I could tell she didn't think I could afford the car I wanted to test drive, she could have asked for my credit score or how much money a year I make or even ran a preapproval and seen that I could, in fact, afford that car or even one much nicer. She never did this. She did let me test drive the car... at 5 miles an hour in a nearby dog park... I now know what driving in first gear is like in that car!

I had a very positive experience at this dealership. Dave Sharpe, the salesperson who assisted me, was especially helpful. My previous car had some mechanical issues so I wanted to trade the car before the repairs became too expensive. I was really hesitant about trading, so it took me quite some time to make a decision. Dave was really patient and went out of his way to help me find a car that fit both my lifestyle and my budget. If you're in the market for a new or used car, definitely go see Dave. He's great!

I did not enjoy going to the back lot to look at vehicles we could have looked at in front. I wasn't pleased with trying to be pigeon holed into only a couple of vehicles. I wished that I could have skipped the salesman and looked around to find smthing that I liked first. I said upfront that I was paying cash but the salesman and his boss wanted me to finance for 4 months to get rebates. WTH. I don't know if I'll return but if I do, I'll skip the salesman initially and I'll be better informed b4 I go. Also I'll assert myself next time.

I've tried to deal with these guys multiple times unsucessfully and calling them con artists would be putting it mildly. They try to use bait and hook scams so watch them closely if you try to buy a vehicle here. I honestly don't know how they stay in business. I know I won't go back.

Went with a friend who is starting to look for a car. Was really excited that they had a few cars that they had been looking at. We wandered the lot for 30 minutes and saw several sales people, but no one talked to us, they acted like we didn’t exist. So sad that if you don’t LOOK like you have money, they won’t take time out of their day. Too bad, because there were several cars that fit my friend’s needs and interest.

What a joke . Went in to buy a car last week i was looking at the new trucks. Salesman were fighting to get to me .when i explained that i wasn't there for their $70000 truck they walked away. They said they would page the salesman that could help me. I waited and waited. I walked in and talked to one of the salesman that was throwing elbows with other salesman he told me that the only salesman that could help me was busy and I could come back around 3 or 4 if I wanted to talk to him. . You guess it I never returned.

I recently bought a Jeep Wrangler from Don Franklin when I test drove it it had the check engine light on I asked the salesman to get it checked out before I purchased it he said they hooked it up to the computers and there was no problems drove it for one day check engine light came back on brought the car back the next day They send it to the Jeep dealer it says that there’s a leak in the oil converter they offered me $300 and no bumper to bumper warranty and told me to take it or leave it..One of the worst by experiences of my life I would never buy another car from this place again...

I drove from Pittsburgh to Lexington, KY to purchase a vehicle from the Don Franklin Hyundai Dealership. Their sales price justified the trip and beat anything I could find locally. Dont buy anything from this place! Will sell you a vehicle that does not do as advertised They know about the problems with the emergency braking system when you are in rain, heavy fog, or anything except clear skies. No apology, nothing except Nissan is aware and trying to fix the problem. Look it up collision avoidance problems with all Nissan products all the way back to 2017, but hey they got me this time. Never again and I’ll never will buy a product from Nissan or Don Franklin again. PS I Have talked several times and only answer your dealership says, sorry, to bad so sad! So call me if you want to make it right!

If you would have asked the first 4 vehicles my family I bought here I'd say we loved it!! But this last one has been a complete lemon in the shop more than me driving it. Now the dealership management (Charles) won't take my calls or respond to my emails. Very unprofessional!!! Moving on to a lawyer and better business bureau. Was a loyal customer, but now will never purchase another vehicle there and will never recommend them for anything!!!

Wasted 1.5hr of my time driving to the dealer to look at a van they had posted online. As soon as I looked at the van rear bumper cover is damaged so bad that needed to be replaced and repainted. non of the 20+ pic on there web site shows this damage or even mentioned it. Very shady and dishonest business practice.

I have been trying to cancel my extended warranty since January 2017, calling multiple times and leaving voicemail. No one ever bothered to pick up the phone or return my call. I was out of state due to extensive travel and wasn't able to come in as a walk in. I kept calling and eventually got some luck with the cancellation. On April 3rd (after 3 months of constant trial to reach them) my extended warranty was finally cancelled and I was told it would take up to 30 days to receive the refund. It's been almost 2 months since the cancellation, but there was no refund and no feedback. I have to sell my car, close the deal and leave the country with no debt or financial obligation, but I can't because it is taking forever for Dan Franklin Auto Mall to process my refund or at least to get in touch with me. I am trying to reach someone from finance department to answer my question about how much longer I have to wait, but as always no one is picking up calls. The receptionist who is answering the phone is incredibly rude and useless. When I asked her who else can help me and what to do in this situation, she cut me off being irritated and almost yelled at me: "how does she know because she is in other building".. when I asked her to give me an email of the person in charge of cancellation, she said it so quickly that I couldn't catch a word, like she was so annoyed by me asking her to help and actually do her job. She didn't even bother to use her brain or take some manners to help a frustrated customer. If I called with a desire to buy a car, they would return my call in a blink of an eye. But since I'm cancelling and asking for a refund, they don't care. Customers matter only when they buy and bring commission, but not when they want to make changes or cancellations. Such a disappointment and frustration with this place. Will never ever go back or recommend to anyone.
