I just completed the level 1 photography course at the LSP. It was fantastic. Just the right level of information for a beginner. A good blend of theory and practical assignments. The class size was small enough that I felt like I was given enough attention and support. Giovanni was a fantastic teacher - a huge amount of knowledge and very patient with each of his students. His passion for photography also really came through which was very motivating for a student. Highly recommend it.

I've just completed the 4 day beginners workshop and now actually understand all the controls and settings on my camera. The technicalities were explained in an easily understandable way. Small classes ensures everyone gets the advice and help they need. Time in the classroom is followed immediately with practical assignments out on the streets nearby, with time to review and discuss the images taken on return to the classroom. I recommend LSP to anyone wanting to get to grips with using their camera.

I attended part 1 of the beginners course a few weeks ago and was very impressed by Diogo’s way of teaching. It was the right balance of classroom theory and then practical photography in the park nearby. I actually think it’s has ‘clicked’ in my head and it’s with thanks to Diogo.

I took the beginners workshop and it was definitively a great experience! I wanted to learn more about my camera and the workshop was very effective for my objective. The course was well-structured, with the right mix of technical basics and practical assignments. Giovanni has been incredible in teaching and communicate his passion to us, absolutely inspiring! Another important point: Giovanni gave us a lot of tips, like documentaries to watch, where to look in case interested in upgrading camera/lenses, where to go to practice specific techniques. This provides a lot of materials for thoughts/exercise after the course. I will for sure come back for the next course!!!

I can not tell you how invaluable my experience at the London School of Photography has been. By the end of the course I had gained confidence in my camera work and style as well as providing students with an insight to the different paths available in photography. The Course Director, Giovanni is passionate about the subject and totally committed - you could sense this from the start. The tutors went out their way to give the best possible experience and it is greatly valued. I would highly recommend the course to anyone thinking of doing it.

I have just completed the weekend Level 1 course and it was excellent! My thanks to Debbie who delivered a well-paced, well-communicated course which was both fun and interesting. In just a weekend I have evolved from a 'everything on automatic' photographer to a confident 'manual settings' photographer. Feels great!!

I took the Level 1 course with photographer Diogo. The course was so enjoyable and he made the whole experience great. By the second day I was shooting in manual mode and was much more confident with my camera. I enjoyed it so much I booked myself onto the Level 2 course a few weeks later.
If you enjoy photography, I highly recommend the second course as it focused more on pictures, use of light, colour and composition.

I have just finished LEVEL 2 PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP and I'm so happy with it! I did have knowledge about basic functions already but still this course did definitely bring me to the next level where I finally managed to get full control over my camera. I'm also much more aware about what the photography is and about how to start being more creative and reflective before pressing the shutter. I did love the fact that there was a chance to get pictures during the course and get them analysed then, which make me now be more critical with my work and so make me achieve better results. Thanks Diogo! It was really worthy experience!

I attended LEVEL 1 on May 16-17 and really enjoyed the experience. It is the perfect course if like me you own a camera ( with a manual ) that is capable of great things, but you don't know how to operate it yet. Whilst you get to understand some theory, the course is resolutely hands on. And the course tutor helps you find, or checks that you've found, each new function/feature he describes. You then experiment taking photographs so that you can plainly see how different camera functions work. Most of my class were already talking about which course they wanted to do next !

I have really enjoyed doing Levels 1 & 2 and the Portrait course. I have learnt so much from all three courses. The course tutors covered everything you needed to know and much more. They took time to fully explain the finer technical points so that you properly understood rather than getting lost.

I followed the first two couses on basics, with Debbie and Diogo. Both teachers have been great. Competent and passionate. It has been definitely useful to learn everything about my camera and more than enough to become a good beginner. The courses are not crowded at all therefore are equivalent to take private lessons. The right mix of theory and practice push you at higher level. I am very satisfied

I did the week long Stage 1 and Stage 2 course. I found the course excellent, and learnt a huge amount. I had never used a manual SLR camera and came away with good understanding and lots of tips too on taking good photos. Andrea was a great tutor. He was knowledgeable, patient and motivating. I am inspired and cannot believe how already my photos are dramatically better....

I did Digital Photography, beginner and intermediate course and absolutely loved it. After using auto mode all my life, now I feel like a pro already. I have been taking my photos just on manual since my course and I can see the huge difference in my photos. Andrea as a tutor was great, so helpful and thorough in his knowledge. Got to meet such lovely people from all round the world. I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn and improve on their photography skills.
Now I am going back for 4 days of Photoshop course.

The level 1 course here is just brilliant. It is very thorough and covers all the technical aspects of DSLR photography. Despite conveying a lot of information, it does so in a way that is very easy to understand, with practical exercises to help you put theory into practice. My tutor (Diogo) was fantastic - he was enthusiastic, clear in his explanations and gave each student individualised attention. I would highly recommend this course to those who are completely new to photography and those who know a bit but want to solidify their understanding.

Its a nice course if you are planing to increase your knowledge about photography, or getting started with it. The best in this course is the practical part when you have to go on the street and try what you learned. If you hav some basic knowledge, or you are an absolute beginer this course is good for you.

The interesting back stories about famous pictures & the discussions on different styles of unconventional Photographers has increased my keenness in observing more. The amount of in-depth information, references and consequences of the technicalities as well as the emotions of Photography really made the course worth. It was Fun & Informative, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting too much out of it but the Course really helped me know, what I know and I hope that it'll reflect soon in my Photography. I genuinely loved the 4 days and would someday like to do the Professional course too at LSP.

I have just completed the Professional Photography course at the London School of Photography and would highly recommend it to all serious and enthusiastic amateurs who are looking to step up to professional level.
The course is well structured, comprehensive and delivers exactly what it says it will. It goes without saying that the more you engage, practice and apply yourself to the learning, which is quite intense as you would expect at this level, the more you feel your skills and knowledge developing. Interaction with the tutors is encouraged and they are all open to answering questions and requests for help - they are also very generous in sharing expertise. In particular, Giovanni Barsanti who is LSP's Director of Training, is an excellent instructor whose wealth of knowledge and experience - both as a photographer and in post production - is invaluable, as are his patience, skill and sense of humour. The content of the course is very much geared to practical learning, with lots of shooting in some modules and then theory and in-studio practice in others - a good mix of hands-on and technical content as well. There is plenty of scope to share your work and receive constructive feedback, which provides a useful introduction to the scrutiny that your images will be subjected to when operating in what is a competitive marketplace or when working for a client.
The location of the School is central and easy to get to on public transport and the premises are clean, modern and well looked after. And with weekday, evening and weekend options, timetables are flexible and should accommodate most needs. An all-round excellent investment!

I attended a Lightroom course this past weekend and I am very happy about it. It's always been quite difficult for me to understand certain passages of this program but our teacher Diogo was very clear, knowledgeable and also a cheerful one to learn from. Throughout the course he was encouraging and happy to help making sure we would all understand. I attended a level 1 workshop at the London School of photography the end of April and I found the teacher Diogo Duarte very knowledgeable. Everything that was on the website was covered; shame about the weather not being on our side as it was pretty chilly that weekend but I would recommend it if you want to know a bit more about how to use your camera and how to take pictures in manual mode. I have been practising.

Really good course. Not only did it improve my photography but open my eyes to different areas of photography and showed me what type of photographer I wanted to become. Really passionate and knowledgable teachers who provided grate feedback and explained everything well. I found this course exceptionally helpful in getting to understand photography as an industry, and felt comfortable when I walked away from the course to do my first payed photoshoot!
