This school is shocking. The way the staff talk to the children is bad enough. But then they do it to the parents as well. They think bullying is funny and some laugh about it. They don't consider the child well being at all. Instead there rather the kid that's getting bullied be at home and have the rest left in school. Because numbers are more important then safety. I'm in such anger and shock to how they have handled situations. This is the worse school ever.

This school could have been good, except it’s poor management and rude leadership staff (mostly, there are of course exceptions). This school has lost multiple good teachers explicitly because of the poor management and excessive power trips many of the current staff have. There is also lax punishment for things such as racism, sexism, transphobia and homophobia. Personally, I believe that this school needs to get its priorities straight and instead of blatantly lying (create your future), the school should actually try to help students succeed. This school does not try to help students, as it tries to push the issues of the students away, in order to not have to deal with them. I regret every moment I have spent in this school.

This school is horrible my son is going through depression from getting bullied every day some kid spat in his face and the teacher don't even help, what type of school are thy running? The teacher said my son is a stupid kid that will never learn anything she said no wonder why you have no friends thanks
God I took my son out of the school last year a boy kicked my son in the face after my son was just sitting on a chair and minding his own business I don't recommend anyone taking their children to this school

I think the most popular secondary school of Southwark is UAE South bank!!! Education and discipline is completely different-more satisfying than other. Also, inside of the school very clean, good designed and well organised. Teachers are really careful about teaching; if someone doesn’t understand well, they help them after school time to make sure the students learned every single thing. I recommend every student and parents that before making a decision for the secondary school, you should visit UAE South Bank.

I have 2 children going to this school. Youngest is on Autistic Spectrum and the eldest is in the 6th Form. Given that its located in one of the worst areas of London (Elephant & Castle) I was extremely reluctant to send my children there, but there was no other provision locally. However I have been pleasantly surprised with this relatively new academy. Staff are supportive and lessons are generally of a good standard. Please check the Ofsted report from May 2017. There are bound to be issues linked to the area - which is "deprived", but the school and it's staff are good in my personal experience.

This school "was" okay but now it has changed for the worse the lunch money has been raised and the chicken we eat is not always properly cooked the school "was" better though. But some teachers will always help u with ur learning and some always support you but some completely show u attitude which sometimes puts u down all together the school is okay for some people u can send ur child here if u would like to but in my opinion I suggest a different school

I am a current student at UAE South Bank and I usually like the school I currently attend however some aspects only leave me in not only disgust but disappointment. The supply teachers that are given their positions do not take it seriously and always allow students to mess about during the lesson. Some are just plain rude when you explain to them the work you have currently done or if they are incorrect about the subject they don’t even teach. This school cannot kee a headteacher since we have already had 3 over the last 4 years, each one of them telling us they’ll be with us till the end of our secondary school days. The GCSE options are no where near enough and we don’t get a good amount of equipment for certain activities. Many teachers have quit over the years and some working in the reception, due to Ms Theo. She is very unhelpful with your needs and you have to go see her around three times for her to complete an easy thing. She comes of as pushy and rude to many parents and there have been a lot of arguments between her and guardians. Overall this is a good school because there are certain teachers that care for us: Ms Fletcher - Blackburn, Mr Plevouts, Mr Sadler, Ms Lee, Mr Searle, Mr Cyrus, Mr Moore and many more. Those teachers that do not appreciate their students have to learn to be more understanding.

UAE..... I'm absolutely shocked to say the least about the way I was spoken to by the office manager. (Miss Theothanplau)
I was a visitor to UAE, enquiring about a place for my child. I was talking to another member of the office, when a lady walked over and started to speak over the other member of staff. She said I am the office manager and what ever you need to know I can help you with. The other member of staff didn't know what to do with herself and looked very uncomfortable.
I informed the office manager, that the other member of staff was helping me. She said No, no, no no no, I am the office manager and I can tell you what you need to know.
I found this to be very condescending, not only toward myself but also towards the other member of her office.
Having a person like that at the front of house is doing the school alot of harm. As other parents I have spoken to find her extremely rude and very forceful.

Please save yourself the trouble and do not apply for the sixth form , i have heard many students are unhappy with the sixth form and with certain teachers in particular, if student is unhappy or altercations have gone down in the sixth-form, teachers have been known to not listen to the students point of view and ultimately verdict them guilty. There have been many complaints with angry parents i myself a guardian, and i'm extremely appalled.

My child has not even started this school and the staff are already rude and bullying. deputy Moses asked me to wait outside of the school when all the other parents were waiting inside for their children while taking their test because we were late. The next time at induction my childs name was not on their 'list' when I asked why , I was met by the rudest reply by the office manager she just snapped at me for asking a question ,then proceeded to make my life a misery for the rest of the induction. Bullies ,disorganised, uncaring and I am so scared for my child.
