Had full service and MOT in Halfords Loughborough on 4th October for my mini cooper. The car broke down on the motorway at night on 20th October, just 280 miles after the full service. AA took the car to Halfords centre in Loughborough and the staff thought it might be due to timing chain snapping. The second day morning, the staff told me they don't have technician to check the car to find out the problem. AA took the car to other garage and the staff there checked it was the timing chain snap.
Contact the custom service to complain the problem. They replied time chain is lifetime part so checking for timing chain isn't included in their service. It broken was due to wear and tear. They refused to take any responsibility for this.
On their website, they claimed they have the qualified technician to do mini cooper service. But staff said they don't have the technician even to check whether the broken problem was the timing chain.
My car had a full service history based on its millage. Less than two weeks and under 280 miles after the full service and MOT. I can't imagine they just said they did service and no problem was found and refused to take any responsibility and even refuse to refund the service fee.

Visited the Loughborough store to get a bulb replaced - was assisted by a very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable man named John. Not only did he fix my bulb within minutes, he also fixed a long-standing issue with my passenger side window. Overall a great experience at the store - couldn't recommend highly enough!

Took my car to have a tyre replaced last week. Excellent service from the team there, only took 45 mins they checked the tracking and the torque and off i went. This is my second visit to Halfords loughborough for tyres and i will definitely be back as they are friendly and efficient. Best of all you dont end up hanging around for hours waiting. I recently booked my vehicle in for MOT at Halfords Auto Centre, Loughborough. This is the 4th time that this branch of Halfords have carried out the MOT on the vehicle. I consider that I receive excellent value for money, professional and friendly advice. Everything is fully explained and I have 100% confidence in the staff on duty. I would not hesitate to recommend Halfords Auto Centre to carry out any work on your vehicle.

Very poor customer service from incredibly rude staff, I went to the bike parts section and there were no staff in sight, having gone over to the main cash desk and waited around for 10 minutes someone arrived at the desk. I asked for what I wanted and the guy said 'we are showing 5 in stock, but we can't find them, they might be upstairs.' I said the website says they are in stock' he replied 'that's the website for you, we've probably used them for repairs, so tough' Wow, what a great ambassador for Halfords.

Very unhelpful staff work at the Halfords shop in Loughborough. I was going to buy a bicycle for my wife. We asked for a women's bike with the frame size 18-20 inch. When we started to check information from stickers of bikes in the showroom, we discovered that the most of bike sizes are not available in the stock of this Halfords shop. As a result, we wasted a lot of time. The most of staff members are very ignorant. Another issue is very unhelpful staff which just gave us one of their computers to choose the bike from the website instead of giving any advises. The most of women's bikes in the showroom are very small (14 inch frame) which makes impossible to ride (or to sit) any of their bicycles. Employees say that they are not allowed to extract larger bicycles from the manufacturer's packaging, unless customers are going to make a purchase. In such case why do they keep in the show room just small women's bikes? I am very frustrated with the service provided by Halfords... I would not recommend this store, because you have a risk to spend a lot of time with the very bad service!

They changed my tires, next day my wheel trims fell and I needed to go there 3 more times for them to put new trims.
They changed my headlights, claiming that its angle is not correct, which was working perfectly fine at that time, now my headlights are not working.
Will never take my care here again.

Chris explained there was a delay due to other vehicles receiving services but undertook the work himself to reduce the waiting time.
He was aware of a previous company damaging the wheels when changing the tyres so went out of his way to take extra caution and ensure I was happy before leaving the centre once the work was done.

Don't know why someone thinks it has been knocked down. I had my car serviced there last week. Excellent work good price and at mere fraction of the cost a main agent would charge. They price work and do the job at that price even if it takes twice as long and means they have to replace other parts at the same time.

Went in for some fairly standard bulbs for my motorcycle, ended up having to teach the staff what the numbers meant and finding a suitable bulb myself after being told that they didn't have the bulb in stock - no alternative was suggested even though several bulbs there were in fact suitable for the task. Very annoying when you go to a place like this you expect people to know what they have in stock and what it's all for. Quite disappointing. Only thing that I would say was good was the selection of items there, so if you know what you need you'll be fine.
