I went to this college for many years, and whilst it did have some struggles here and there, it was always improving constantly and the facilities it offered were exceptional. I truly felt like I was a part of the college and I do miss visiting it from time to time, especially just to see how much it has improved. The staff were really helpful and enthusiastic and always went above and beyond for their students.

Avoid this college if possible, the majority of the teachers at this college do not care much for the students progression. However the select few that go above and beyond for their students (Ayodeji) make the college worth it. At the end of the day it is what you make of it, go here with the expectation to motivate and encourage yourself.

Croydon college is diverse and inclusive of people in all backgrounds, which makes it increasingly credible for everyone who chooses this college to develop thier skills and knowledge.

I would give the college 0 stars if possible, terrible college. Do not study an access course here, they don't care about your progression as a student from college to university at all. Absolute lack of communication and feedback from the lecturers. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE!!!

I went here a long time ago in the 00s. The teaching standards weren't the best then but the College was cool. The layout, aesthetics and the atmosphere are all good. I did marginally enjoy my time here, but it was more for social reasons than educational quality. I hope it has improved since.

Croydon College is an educational institution with 8,000 students, made up of a Further Education College, The Croydon School of Art and a University Centre. It is located in Croydon, within the London Borough of Croydon. Its origins can be traced to a School of Art that was established in 1868, which subsequently merged with Croydon Polytechnic to create the college shortly after the Second World War. The college is the only further education college to have been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) and is currently graded 'good' by Ofsted (2014).

If I could give 0 stars I honestly would. This college wasted 7 months of mine and many others time. Started here in 2016 on their level 3 animation and vfx course. While lacking structure, the tutor seemed to know what he was doing and we were being introduced to many different areas. Then after coming back from Christmas break our teacher stopped coming in and we were given every excuse as to why he was not in. The reality was he had left for another teaching position elsewhere, I gave it 3 months for them to find a new teacher....did they? no. During this 3 month period we were shut in a room with no access to computers and told to teach ourselves....1st year students on a course with subjects we knew very little about. When I confronted the head of the creative courses Joel McDermott, he told me all the college was obligated to do was help us produce a flipbook?! for a animation and vfx course? The vfx industry requires extensive software knowledge of the job role you want. When inquiring into universities I was bluntly told most places would struggle to offer me a place with a flipbook for a final project. To top it off they sent us to the wrong work experience, one meant for games design which left the company in a very awkward position, luckily they had graphic design briefs we could follow so our week wasn't a waste. Oh and no this college isn't safe either, there was a stabbing on the literal doors of the college and we only found out because students came running into the classroom, the teachers way of calming us was to say "we haven't had a stabbing in 2 years". I can't speak for other areas of the college but if you have interest in creative courses go for Kingston college or Nescot college. This college has all the resources but not the staff or the means to use it, Don't waste your time.

Library area is exceptional but you need to go to the third floor to get peace and quiet. Croydon college has changed drastically from what is was before. Security team are extremely professional but we can’t change the attitude of some students maybe they should introduce a uniform policy and strictly no tracksuits. It’s a college not a gym.

This is the place where INEQUALITY HAPPEN. I forgot my student ID, came to the security guy saying sorry and asking NICELY for a ONE-DAY pass and he asked me to pay!!! 2 days before this issue, my classmate forgot his ID as well and they GAVE him a free one-day pass without asking him ANYTHING!!! I got my friend come down to join the conservation and they said it was DIFFERENT SITUATION!!! I’m ASIAN and my classmate is BLACK. I GUESS YOU CAN DO THE LOGIC :)

There are no longer any A level subjects available apart from English and Maths (same with GCSE's) as well if you are over the age of 18 which is NOT GOOD. Stopped all the Secretarial, office courses due to my and my girlfriends dismay. Instead of tried and tested courses, which are a mainstay in the workplace Audio, Shorthand etc (and good to have behind you) they are doing all these pointless courses. Used to be really good but over the years they have stopped doing the good courses and now concentrate on under 19's and apprenticeships, vocational, arty, hospitality etc which is a shame. They are appealing to the few instead of the the many. Where else in Croydon can people go to do the courses they used to do? Plus their website is not at all user friendly when searching for courses.

This college is a joke. They are soooooo unorganised, non of the tutors know what's going on half time. Never have I ever seen such a shambles of an organisation, I have waited 3 months before giving this review just to see if it will get better, but it gets worse. Don't even know if I'm going to pass my course because I have zero confidence in the teaching staff. This is people's lives they are messing with. Adult learners, don't bother. Parents, don't send your kids here if you want to achieve something. It's a complete waste of time.

Worst place I've studied in my life. I did my year 11 there, in a """special'"" area and it was the worst year of my life, no joke. We were locked in a corridor the whole day, my class was freezing during the winter and the teachers didn't give a damn because they were all used to the cold, but all of my classmates were also from hot countries, not used to British weather We didn't have water in our little prison, teachers and supervisiors got angry at us for needing water and complained about every thing we said. None of the teachers respected us as foreigners, didn't care about our culture. When I left, I made a promise that whatever happens in my life, I won't set a foot in the sidewalk of that place ever again.

Studied here from 2011 to 2013 hated it! I studied Level 3 Game design here just wasted my time and money my tutor never marked my work and blamed me for bad grades even though he taught nothing! I was also bullied relentlessly by several students in my class which eventually forced me to leave! DO NOT STUDY HERE! Studying here was just a waste of my time and money! Find another college that does what you want Croydon College is just a joke.

Right let me spill some tea☕️. This college is basically a prison, the energy is dead and the people you meet either smoke or have a body count of 50.. so I studied the following IT level 3 for both year 1 and 2 and let me tell you this... the teachers that taught me hated my guts , now I am going to be honest because I am free and working at my dream job so where should I start... I have been accused of selling drugs by this one individual teacher I shall not name and had a particular student having to go on knees to get my card blocked because I some how “disrespected him” now everyone knows I have a bestfriend of a different religion to me and it is accepted, my secondary school friend I consider him family he is the same religion as her and some how that’s a problem to this teacher to the point he refused to talk to my family member , kicked me out if I didn’t apologise but because I am gods child I didn’t extend it further... moving on to students that I had in the class, some I was highly respected by and some hated my guts a haha but I don’t care , one in particular didn’t like me talking about his country to another student when they’re both in the same country, asking the same question so many tines which I won’t mention because I want to keep this review simple honest and clean. Another thing is that you will have to be cautious because if you talk to these teachers you will be friends with them, if you don’t they will instantly give you a bad rep they will judge you, talk about you and never say anything with their chest????, it is shocking because some of the teachers don’t deserve to be in the college they’re more uni standard but yeah. Now to continue about my experience about the college. I have replaced fake friends they know who they’re, some have served their time as my friend on loan and they have not done me proud and as for the people that I have accept as my friend in that college big up yourself. But continuing on , I have been disrespected by teachers in that college to the point I had a total of 10 days off both from last and this year to get the pen to paper to sign for my dream job which the teacher quoted “I am not ready for work” (I have 3 jobs what now ????) but overall the teachers that taught me from the beginning from level one (Yvonne), construction and motor vehicle and my first tutor for tutorial (Sam????) big up yourself honestly without you guys I wouldn’t have been this successful. If you are reading this it is a see you later not a goodbye. So I wouldn’t recommend anyone this college except if you get the right teachers. Don’t do I.T guys don’t experience what I had because trust me I had to fight and i won the war and battle????????????????. From the Pharaoh #HalaWembley #HalaKiaOval

NOT 5 STARS. School Of Art info I’m an honest person This college can be a great place to learn but if you’re too openly spoken they will become to dislike you, For proving them wrong & explaining the stuff they need to be doing to help you as an individual or group. •First year: Wasn’t needed as it was possible to do L3 from then •Second year: wasn’t needed as Kelly Jackson wouldn’t allow me to do the one and only year I needed to get my FULL L3 certificate. I spent two years there and don’t have much to prove when I went in to enroll for L3 Y2 in (September) I got told I FAILED and that there’s no way for me to continue, I then got my Certificate? With 1 unit missing. By then I had knowledge of people who FAILD but had been finishing the work during summer. No one contacted me when others was able to complete their work and go on to the 2nd year. I got told I was uninterested and unwilling to learn which was not the case as I had multiple conversations about applying for university and my future.. my books was so full I couldn’t close them! I thought me and my teacher left on good terms but apparently not this woman is no other than KELLY JACKSON who became Head Of Art when I tried to get a meeting/explanation but didn’t even receive an email from her. Read my story, know the truth

LIKE: the college is lively and there is more activities for the students to take part in while we are at college. the halls of the college is also now painted in light reflecting colors that makes the halls more brighter even when the lights are turned off. DISLIKE: the thing that i dislike about the college is that in the winter the heating doesn't keep the halls and some class rooms hot.
