Very poor experience. I was recommended the college by my work coach on Universal Credit account, to attend the Startup Business Course. I passed the math and english assessment and i was called to come attend the course. I waited for an hour and 35 minutes just to be told that the course will not take place as the other students did not show up. Ive lost all this time for nothing. If you plan to go in for the business course i recommend that you would better find something else online.

I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about I attended this college from september 2019 to March 2020 (my academic year was cut short due to covid-19). I can honestly say that I enjoyed going to this college before coming here I had a bad feeling about it as I felt it was a bad place to go due to it gaining a bad reputation (dont know how). However, as the months went by I started to like attending this college this college as the staff were all very professional and supporting and they took their jobs seriously. The facilities were also excellent (apart from the gym which took until January to open to students).the students were quiet aggressive and overwhelming at times but that's the case with every college you cant hold the college accountable for the actions taken by supposedly young adults you have to find your own crowd in this college. In summary its quiet a good college and excellent for studying as long as you keep your head down, workhard and dont bother with talking to the wrong people. Would recommend!

Great performing arts course! They give you a lot of opportunities to get into the industry! Meeting professional people from the industry and getting theatre work experience and much more! The drama teacher is lovely and makes you find your own style of acting! I do recommend this course for people who want to give 100% hard work and don't mind doing a bit of dance and singing on the side.

It is not the most professional college to go if you are doing and access course, better go to another college... This college will not help you to get into Uni. Timetables will change few times during the year and the teachers too.. You will find not support and guidance at all during those 9 months studying and the college will say- We are preparing you to go to Uni -but, they are not! Good building and well communicated I must also say.

I had a great experience at Souththames College, in the performing arts course they really helped build my confidence on stage singing and performing and it is a really friendly environment and the tutors give genuine advice and guidance throughout your time studying there.

I had amazing two years over there. Teachers are really helpful and passionate about learning. Facilities are amazing. I studied Music Performance and Production and today I'm totally happy about my choice. I've learnt a lot and got perfectly prepared for further education. If anyone is looking for a music production course I can definitely recommend the one in South Thames! Wide range analog hardware (synthesisers, FX processors), legendary MPC 5000, industry standard microphones, vocal booths, access to Ableton, Logic Pro, mastering room with legendary Universal Audio Apollo interface, Pro Tools and UAD plug ins!

I am sending this complaint about the Fine Arts Course Level 3 Year 1 at South Thames Wandsworth Campus. I found the course to be one of the worst courses which I have ever been on. What the problem is, is that as a disabled student, I felt my learning disability needs, was not fully read or understood. This means all my learning needs were ignored and not considered when it came to teaching me. I have been on courses where there have been ups and down, however, in the end when I finished the course it was usually with a Distinction, and the happiness that I at least learned something new and useful. With this course, it was not. I will address in the bullet points below the many flaws of this course. • Work was not probably explaining nor explained in time. • Work was dropped at the last minute. (giving me as a person with Autism Sensory Overload and anxiety attacks). • I was mostly left on my own confused. I had my support there but there were some topics even they could not explain, and needed to be explained in more detail by the teacher. • I felt ignored when It came to my wellbeing, anxiety issues, depression, and not being listened to. • Even though the course has a teacher, this teacher was a music teacher, yet was put on to teach art. I don’t feel this is constructive or good at all. • When I explained about my depression and how Its affecting my work, they only ignored me and tried to pile more work on top of me. I feel disrespected. In the end I’m very disappointed with the course and I feel it needs an overall evaluation and due-diligence, so people like with disabilities won’t suffer. This course has demonstrated a harsh example of educational abuse; as well as causing students educational stress and giving them nothing to use in the future. I certainly will not recommend anyone to come to this college; let alone any of the other campuses again.

If had the choice, I would give this whole college no stars. I am a student currently undergoing a music production course. This is the worst college to enhance your skills; best college to build your patient. Lectures follow their own agenda rather than your own, timetables frequently change as much as the staff. Theirs also a 70% drop out rate after the first two terms. The other 30% are exchange students or those who our retaking their Maths and English. I am telling you not to come to this college, for your own development it would be wise to listen. If you decide to enrol, I guarantee you will regret it after the first week. P.s - Read the other comments, majority are negative and our honest opinions. Seek and you shall find. - JC

One of the teacher's Irena is very rude and unproffecional. She is a nasty person with bad hygiene. Discriminates against some students in my class. When ever you bring a colaint to the manager at the college they totally ignore the issue and stick up for teachers. I agree with the other negative reviews. If only I had read the reviews before coming to this college I would have gone elsewhere. In my maths evening classes a lot of students left because of her. I would never consider coming back here.

Unfortunately this college seems rather disconnected from the evening students. I had to fight to get a dyslexia test however no follow up, so ended up taking me two exams with no extra time. Its provides evening courses without actually accommodating evening learning. My second year I left half way through because I did not have the support I needed to keep up, this was not down to my tutor but the disorganisation of the place. I've been to another College and Uni before, so I can compare, I would not want my children to come to this college.

My experience on the performing arts course was very 50/50 hence why I have given this college 3 stars. During my time on this course I was pushed out of my comfort zone by my tutors which helped to built up my confidence, where I was able to sing a solo song in front of an audience which I would have never been able to do 2 years ago. I gained a lot of in depth knowledge about theatre practitioners and the history of musical theatre which are things that will benefit me knowing in University. Although I didn’t have a horrible time there I must say at times the tutors were very unprofessional/unorganised when it came to the final show. People were allowed to get away with not learning their lines, choreography and staging which really annoyed me. They left everything to the last minute and would get angry when things were not done due to their own unprofessionalism. Which then resulted in the final show not being as amazing as it could be. Despite these misshaps I really enjoyed my time at this college as some of the people were lovely and really added to my experience. Xxx I would recommend this college but I would tell you to consider some of the points I have raised above.

Do not study performance arts at this college! It's is so unprofessional. I quit after a year into my diploma and transfered elsewhere. The head tutor was a dance instructor and had no idea about drama or theatre in any form. I got little to no feedback in any of my work so I came to submit for grading I got low pass grades as I had nothing constructive to work on. Teachers have no authority in their own lesson, letting people run riot in class and harassment run rampent in front of them. Sexual harassment and death threats were frequent and the tutors are not clued on What to do if they see vulnerable students being taken advantage of. It was a waste of a year, I transfered to Lambeth and got my diploma and had a good run in the industry. This is an awful college that should be shut down and tutors should be banned from the classroom!

Electrical Installations C&G course [2006-7] - tuition very good with well prepared A4 notes. But... control of immature eggnspoon ("Youth") students highly questionable. Many such students bring mobile phones to class for social intercourse during lectures. Also some are very very late for classes that start at 10am. Male caucasian students generally much better behaved.

Won't recommend this college to any body, however people don't listen. Staff have temper, some teachers went on long term sickness, timetables changed half way into the term, some class groups were merged in the middle of the year. Forced students to leave the course because of prejudice. Senior person in charge with Study programme resigned ! vanished in thin air when students needed support or advice, leaving students disoriented, no body to answer students phone calls nor queries. All calls went to voice mail. That was in July 2014. Teacher collected course works from some students never returned back ah ! ah ! ah!...

I'm hopefully coming back to this college, just because i've ran out of ideas to find a college. But when i was here, i studied btec music level 3 and it was the worst mistake in my life. The problem is the college is very ghetto so i knew i will never make friends there. Bottom line - Only good for people who are ghetto and not for quiet people like me otherwise you'll be seeking help from a psychologist
