This college has a superb ceramics department, teaching the latest in reduction firing techniques, with a wide selection of glaze types and clay types for student use. The teachers are all themselves commercially aware and practicing. Many wheels tho' some are noisy.

Took an art class and found two classes each with their own tutor teaching out of the same space at the same time, so had to try and block out the sound of the other tutor's loud voice. Additionally our tutor would tell us what to bring for the next week's lesson but then next week would concentrate on a completely different theme. Honesty I'd rather spend more for classes elsewhere so that I can actually learn.

I have attended the History Club classes for nearly two years and have enjoyed every one. There is such a wide variety of subjects taught by an exceptional tutor. I was not sure what to expect when I first joined the classes but our tutor Ellen made me feel welcome and at ease . Ellen has such interest and enthusiasm for all the subjects which makes for a very enjoyable lesson. Thank you to Ellen and Sutton College.

I have started a course here and the teaching style is quite professional. You gain a lot of skills and confidence. The classes are friendly everyone gets on with each other. I’m hoping to expand my skill set and gain a qualification and definitely believe it I’ll my expectations.

I have paid over £5k to Sutton college in fees and their tutors and leaders have not submitted results to examining bodies for courses completed over 3 months ago. No communication. Poor service. Do not enrol at this college

Been going the college for a few years, been great the class go to, lovely people in class and very good teachers we've had, but the price for classes keep going up, and joined this term, and the course was cancelled at the last minute, ☹ [very disappointing], missing the class, hope to join new one next term.

The tutors are wonderful, however the administrative/curriculum team are incredibly poor. Disorganised, rude, apathetic. I am studying for a career change and have endured them not publishing details of courses until the last minute, failing to recruit teaching staff in time, failed to communicate in a timely manner, failed to published amendments to courses in time for learners to determine if this fits around full time work. I would honestly urge adult learners who are committed to their studies to find an alternative as there are some wonderful colleges out there. The distress and disruption they have caused me is immeasurable and I would not want anyone else to face the same.

History Club
I have been a class member at these "bite-size talks" at Sutton Centre for a couple of years.
Really enjoyable and stimulating two hour sessions run by an extremely professional and well informed tutor. Varied and inclusive, never boring.
Subjects so far have included Karl Marx, Slavery and the Sugar Trade , Cuban Missile Crisis, The Vietnam War and many more. Coming up: The War of the Roses. Irish Potato Famine and Policing in Victorian London.
Pay as you go £12.50 per session. Worth every penny, check the website.

I have been studying here for 3 years so far best college I gain knowledge and skills all teachers are very professional and helpful especially Sandra cassiano .
Classes are spacious with smart board and students from around the world good apportunity to know about different cultures and languages I really appreciate all the hard-working staff .
I definitely recommend this college .

I’ve had a stressful and disappointing experience with the college. After studying with them for 2 years they gave only 2 working days’ notice to inform me (and the rest of the learners on the course) that the course would not be starting on time. We were told that it would commence the following week (with a patronising email to advise us to get our pencils ready) even though no tutor was in place – we were clearly lied to.
I have spoken to a range of staff members from the college including the Principal. The communications across all levels of staff was unprofessional and stroppy with emails clearly not read properly and delayed responses.
The organisation of the college is, in my opinion a complete shambles, and in this case, they have lost thousands of pounds due to learners taking their business elsewhere.
They need to improve their organisation, communication skills and professionalism. It’s not just a training course they provide it’s a path to a career, something they clearly forget.

One of a growing list of companies who contract companies to fill up my and other peoples letterbox with unsolicited flyers which just go straight into the recycling bin. Who is supposed to benefit from this? What type of person, suitable for any college course, would be incapable of finding Sutton College in today's information rich world?
