eToro (UK) Ltd

I started 4 months ago, I extend my equity to over 16000$ and attained a so called Gold Tier. I used credit card to fund my account but I cant withdraw from my credit card. Hence I contacted to etoro customer service and they ask me to provide letter from the bank so that they can change my withdraw method. I provide them within a day which according to them is OK and they sent my case to Finance department to approve. Now its 3rd week nothing to hear from them and I can not withdraw a single Penney. My hard earn money is on stake and after sending many emails and talking to their agent, they didn't bother to update my withdrawal method which is just a 30 second job to do. I have done over hundreds of trades and pay them a lot of money in term of spread but at the end I feel so helpless.

????The platform has degraded. ????Support tickets take long time. ????Managers come up with lame excuses. ????Orders are not executed. ????Price for some assets could show up to 25% difference. ????Huge spreads and fees. ???? After 3 years of daily trading i will take my money elsewhere.

I sent 5 online queries because my account is locked (I did many times the verification process). No replies after 6 weeks ! All the tickets are automatically closed without reason. I tried to call the Cyprus number, this number not working. I cannot transfer my money. Don't use this platform.

I've been on the platform for over a year and half and it has been a very rewarding experience. I have had the opportunity to learn trading by following other investors and even profited through them. The platform has had bugs, but the management and support staff is forthright about these and handles the issues well. I've seen the platform get better, and I have confidence in the eToro team.

I have been with these since 2018 & so far so good. Any issues I have had, their Customer Services team have gotten back to me accordingly. I have not had to withdraw any money yet but I have read all the T&C's and understand the process so I should have no issues. Great App & I love it!!

Really intuitive platform which offers a great place for active trading. The copy trade function and copy portfolios also offer great tools for beginners and professionals. I've been with etoro for 7 years and plan to be with them for many more. I suspect that many of the lower review scores here may be left by people who have tried trading with lots of leverage and lots of risk and want somebody to blame when they lose money. However, the company itself has been great in my experience and there are plenty of opportunities for beginners to make money safely (the copy portfolios and copy trade function, for example).

Appalling customer service. No phone number in the UK. Chat line doesn't work. Started with the intention of trying out this platform on a small trade. Now I can't get my money back out and no one to speak to. Holding emails say they're dealing with it- they're not This is just the sort of company to give the whole industry a bad name in an sector where trust is key. I would advise anyone to go elsewhere. I applied for an account 22 days back and uploaded my ID and proof of home address. But still showing verification pending. They also did not tell me that it has been rejected either. I already raised two tickets but no result though it showing resolved. Could someone please tell me if this platform is a scam to take people's details. If so I will have to report it to police!

I have had the account for just over a week. For some reason unknown to me, I was unable to log in, and asked for a password reset. The email arrived and when I tried to reset the password, the screen froze. and I am unable to log in. In respect of trying to contact the company, its impossible. I will be making a complaint to the FCA, and closing the account. Thoroughly disappointed with Etoro.

I have been a trader on eToro for five years and have really enjoyed the platform. Simple and accessible, they make trading available to all even when you have limited funds but feel you can learn and make some profit. Highly recommended but do some careful research and reading before you trade! noggy1930.

System will conveniently go down when the market dips a little. To stop you selling your trades; the way this company operates is ilegal. Technical difficulties ....but no technical difficulties when customers are buy trades left right and centre.

Been with etoro since 2015 and have seen them grow like crazy. It's the best investing/trading platform I've used, and I've managed a return of over 580% during that time. I've always had great account managers, excellent customer support, and no issues with deposits or withdrawals.

I started to use eToro in March. Management are very user focused and constantly looking for ways to improve their platform. Recent decisions to take out additional insurance to cover capital up to $1 million and requiring Popular Investors to take investent exams in order to allocate capital in copy portfolios give me a lot of confidence recommending this platform to others.

unreliable platform. the website keeps crashing at crucial time, market does not open at time when stake are high, customer service wont give u any answer. if i could give them zero star i would. Trading 212 is much better than Etoro

This is a really good platform if you like investing. You can buy individual stocks, crypto, commodities, at no commission. You can also copy the portfolios of the top traders for a passive investment. It's also a social platform so you can interact with other investors. All of this for no fees.

Really bad customer service as well as servers. If you hold anything over night there is a chance they'll have technical issues and all your money is gone and when your money is gone they won't react to your emails anymore. Like my case: 01522230. I liked them in the beginning but sadly they have gotten worse.

The worst trading platform I've dealt with They restrict access to their platform when you need it most They will offer compensation and ask you to close positions Once positions are closed they will rug pull and say there is no compensation I recommend Degiro to everyone now I've used Hargreaves Lansdown and they seem ok - but the fees are a little high (still way lower than when eToro force you to realize loss)

Would like to change this to a 5 star review, but can't get ahold of support and have tried email, chat and phone several times. Made a wire transfer 11 business days ago and still don't see it reflected in my account and not contact from etoro team!

customer service non existing, I tried to log in after 3 years, did not get reset password link, I am unable to contact a physical person via email or phone number in UK as there is no number or email on the site. The support ticket function is not working either because it asks me to log in! I am stuck, cant log in, cant lodge a support ticket, lost £370? I need to close the account and money transferred to my bank. ETORO reply to this review as to how can I get this sorted.

eToro as been terrible to work with. They dont answer any of my queries after many many emails to which i have never received a useful reply. I decided to close my account. And after three weeks i still cant withdraw my invested cash out of eToro.

The customer service is very poor. They takes ages to solve your issues and never come back. Planning to change another regulated broker soon. I suggest you all not to go forward with this broker. Think before you invest!!!!!!!! I am a gold member and now slowly withdrawing my cash.

This is by far the worst trading platform I have ever used!!! If you choose to sign up, please try to find the number for their support team. . .you will not find it, because there isn't any support! When you do contact them via e-mail, they take a massive amount of time to reply and NEVER EVER offer any help. All they do is copy paste script answers!!! The second reason I am writing this post is to inform people that this platform is unreliable, full of bugs, offers the worst spreads, no support and inaccessible for a few hours every day, during open markets?!?! Surely maintenance should be done overnight, but eToro do it when everyone is ''trading'' or at least trying to. . .I would be organizing a formal complaint to the FCA in the coming weeks, so anyone else that is looking to join, please contact me, or reply to my comment! Whatever you do, DON'T SIGN UP TO THIS!!!! If you are based in the UK - use Hargreaves Lansdown, DeGiro and even Revolut!!!

I deposited money via bank transfers at the end of December. The money has not yet appeared in my account despite the 6 messages I have left on the customer support site and received no response. Live chat is never available in my region UK which is kinda CRAZY. It's January 27 and still no money I don't think they can be trusted with ones money.

Today btc is falling 20k and i couldnt login into my etoro realy goOod work. But take my trading money, take all my workmoney. Take it...we all dont need it

very bad because the site is brook down and i cant open or close trade. i opened traded didn't work and i try it again then i saw 2 trade after hours. i couldn't close trade to run from loss but still couldn't do so. how can this happen and how i trust you with my money and trades again?

Been with etoro for 3 years plus, but in the last couple of months performance issues are making it almost impossible to trade. This came to a head yesterday (23rd Feb) when the platform was down for practically the whole trading day at a time when the market was correcting. A lot of people will have lost a lot of potential gains by not being able to trade during this period. Clearly etoros servers are not up to the job, but this not good enough for a large regulated company. Now looking for alternative brokers.

MARKET MANIPULATORS!!! Countless users couldn't trade stocks on eToro for hours today and yesterday too! We couldn't buy, yet when the market was re-opening for very short amounts of time, it was only to allow users to SELL (not our plan!). This shows eToro's corruption and market manipulation maneuvres in support of the Wall St rich guys. They posted an alert saying that GME was now set to CLOSE ONLY - effective immediately, with restrictions applied at NO notice! They even disabled the complaint option in the portal! How is this a free market?! Whenever their friends loose money, they halt the trading. They are protecting the ultra-rich by blocking everyday citizens from trading... eToro will be finished once this story is over!

I’m going to be honest here! I was thinking about opening an account with etoro (uk). So I came onto the google reviews to have a look at what people were saying about their experience with the company and I have to say, I'm not impressed. I’m an experienced trader having traded and spread bet with a leading provider for many years in the past. Yes you win some and you loose some, that is part of trading BUT for me, to have a service that does not even have a contact telephone number is an absolute NO NO especially when money is involved and timing is key. Trading is that type of service where you need to be able to speak with someone and sometimes very quickly as software is far from fail safe. There are far too many people on here complaining about the length of time it takes to be responded to when something goes wrong for them. Another massive NO NO for me was the fact that the company expects people to reach out via (Social media) when they have failed to be responded to. I certainly would have no part in that process where my money is concerned. I read one review on here that sounds all too familiar, platform not responding at critical moments thus resulting in losses. (This goes on) Yet no telephone number to call? That doesn’t sound like something I would risk my money using. If I have a problem that is serious (what if the company doesn’t bother to get back to me?) like what a lot of people are saying within these reviews. I wouldn’t take that risk after reading many of these reviews. What if I want to take a large position? Could I trust it? Is the support really there? I'm sorry but I’d say no! I’m also not impressed with the response here that says 'we are regulated by the FCA' etc! You have to be regulated to be able to offer these services legally. I want people to know that trust me when I say it, that means nothing when something goes wrong! One has to prove that a company has acted in bad faith (and that is very hard to do!) It’s certainly not a selling point or an excuse that an organisation can use to persuade customers that they are all being treated fairly and in good faith. I find it a little bit bad taste when a company responds to good feedback but ignores MANY legitimate complaints completely or responds to some only. Sounds a bit like what people have been complaining about, no response! I didn’t really like that. Finally.. Trading from the UK in (Dollars) on a platform? Errr No thank you, I expect my currency to be used for transactions I make in that particular country. It’s all good and well to charge no commission (which you clearly do by the way, in spreads, which people have also complained about on here) and then charge a (withdrawal fee) is also not a selling point for me. I’d rather pay a commission and feel safe as in ‘my opinion’ this business model is questionable. I can appreciate that a lot of customers of this type of trading will be novice traders but I can’t help but think that the customer service and support they’ll need in this type of environment is lacking, which I find slightly irresponsible as a company. Well, I hope this helps people read between the lines when deciding if this type of service would work for them, particularly in the uk. I’m sure there are many a happy customers with etoro uk but unfortunately I’m not going to be one of them.

I have had an issue with my account for over a month now (which prevents me from trading) and it still has not been rectified. Takes Customer Support 2 weeks to come back to you to tell you that they are looking into it. 2 weeks later and still no update. Great platform with a good selection of assets to choose from no commission stocks too. Customer service always replies quickly and solves or answers questions quickly. The etoro club is also a nice little extra. Seen a lot of negative reviews but not my experience at all also never had any issue withdrawing funds. Just something to be aware of. Everything is in dollars so your whole uk account is basically a USD/GBP trade

I don't understand anything about trading, but it doesn't matter. I copy 3 or 4 people making an average of 26% per month. Those who criticize etoro do so because they improvise and know nothing about how to trade. I am humble, I have the experts do it and I enjoy the earnings. I think people who are not responsible with how they invest their funds end up blaming Etoro!! its not their fault - they are just a well developed platform where you can decide what to do with your investments! Easy to understand platform, fast payments when I make withdraws - credit to them!! Lacking instruments to trade with from the US mid-cap stocks such as Syneos Health, Inc., Regal Beloit Corporation, Royal Gold, Inc., MSA Safety Incorporated, Prestige Brands Holdings, Inc., Ceridian HCM Holding Inc., Cousins Properties Incorporated, Hexcel Corporation, Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc. These stocks have market value between $2 billion and $10 billion It is quite inconsistent as they do have some from the US mid-cap stocks, but not all, yet they have instruments from small-cap stocks such as Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. or Novavax, Inc. Small cap stocks have market value of $300 million to $2 billion. I had raised this with support to have such instruments added (21st December 2020), yet my ticket was marked as resolved, yet instruments have not been added. If you are a value investor such as myself, and you choose to use the eToro platform, be aware that you may not have access to the certain instruments to trade with. I suggest you research other platforms to cater for your trade/investment needs.

Etoro is a wondeful place to trade. So simple and easy. Unfortunately bad reviews are left by people who really don't know how trading works. They scream at etoro if a market is closed for example and claim etoro has lost them money. Markets close when there is no liquidity. If you are serious about investing its great, but do your homework and don't use leverage unless you are an experienced trader. The social aspect is wonderful and instead of trading yourself you can copy an experienced trader and let them do all the work for you (again do your research and take your time to find a good trader, all their stats for years are displayed). DONT copy someone who has made hundreds of % in a year they are very high risk, find someone who makes 20-100% a year consistantly. Big losses years back then consistant trading after is a GOOD thing in a trader if you see it. They have made mistakes and learnt lessons from them. Don't be greedy and over the years you will make a lot of money.

Poor service they stole my money, did not inform that they would sell my shares without my knowledge if they fell below a certain level. Complete rip off

Very easy to deposit funds and extremely difficult to withdraw. nightmare service and no contact telephone number for a customer service department/ agent in united Kingdom at all..

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID! Awful customer service - account was blocked with funds in, only to be told by customer service there were 'no funds to withdraw'. Customer service seems clueless - 4 months later, still no sign of issue resolution... just an email to notify me of an 'inactivity fee'. Absolutely gobsmacked!

Very very poor customer service. Tickets not answered or take more than a week to get any answer which is usually incomplete. Appalling that no customer helpline or human contact. AVOID.
