April just gone I decided to look for private help and found Dr Zamar and his team, I honestly couldn't have found anyone better. You look at the prices and think this can't be justifiable BUT please don't let money stop you it is worth every single penny. Dr Zamar is VERY professional with what he does but also has the time and patience to listen to everything you have to say. With just my consultation Dr Zamar helped me find the root of my problems and from there we have worked to getting the help I need and hopefully be fully back to my old self before the year is out. I strongly recommend The London Psychiatry Centre to anyone struggling with depression, bipolar, bipolar tendencies, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) or PTSD, which are what this centre specialises in. I was referred to Dr Zamar by a very good endocrinologist after having suffered from severe pure-o OCD and severe depression (with strong suicidal thoughts) non stop for about two years. In two years, I have begged different NHS GPs to help me; they did nothing. I also consulted a private psychiatrist in the town I live in and all he would do was referring me to a therapist (with who I had therapy) and suggest that I try antidepressants (which I did not want to use). I asked all these "doctors" to carry out tests (blood tests) on me as I was quickly convinced that there was something chemical/hormonal/biological going wrong in me. This is how I became in contact with my very good endocrinologist who then referred me to Dr Zamar. As soon as I told Dr Zamar what I had been through at my very first session with him, he knew that my OCD was actually a consequence to bipolar tendencies that I did not know I had and he knew that I would have specific genetic mutations on genes involved in the management of thyroid hormones. He was right, genetic tests carried out by the centre showed that I indeed have mutations in those genes. I then went through 6 weeks of daily rTMS sessions combined with taking supplement thyroid hormones, which resulted in full remission for the first time in about two years of suffering. Dr Zamar is very attentive to the patient, very thorough and scientific in his approach. The London Psychiatry centre provides its patients with INDIVIDUALISED treatment adapted to the specific individual needs, symptoms and biology of its patients as everyone is unique and this is how treatment should be done instead of just trying lots of drugs (full of nasty side effects) and hoping that one of them would work. Furthermore, whatever problem I am facing, Dr Zamar always tries to find a solution for me by, for example, referring me to one of his collaborating doctors if necessary. He only chooses very good doctors to collaborate with. The rTMS team is very friendly and I found them to be interesting people.

I do not recommend, firstly after only 2 sessions with a psychiatrist I was mis-diagnosed and medicated accordingly, for 6months. Red flag, in hindsight. Through the clinic I had therapy for 6+ months upto twice/week, during which they forced a price increase on me, without even pretending to take any consideration for me and my circumstances, I quote 'we do not do discounts'. Red flag. They then had some kind of fall out with my therapist and terminated my therapy over night. Which I only discovered whilst in the waiting room for a session. Red flag. Which to this day has left its mark, after 2 years of therapy elsewhere I'm still expecting an unexpected termination. They did offer to find me another therapist, but I felt a line had to be drawn somewhere and ofcourse I was still clinging to the hope of being 'reunited', one way or another. I have since learnt what it feels like to be treated like a human, with compassion, at half the price. My honest life experience.

Dr Hamodi Kayal is one of the most compassionate and professional doctors I have ever met. Over the last year, he has helped me tremendously with overcoming trauma and complex PTSD and I simply cannot thank him enough. The centre itself is brilliantly run, organised and always there to help - I wouldn't hesitate for a minute when recommending them.

Beware of this organisation as they call themselves, by the way, not a clinic! The money for them comes first and they do not care about your recovery however prescribing you with so many pills as your pocket can afford.

I cannot recommend Dr Zamar and EMDR therapy enough. With just one session he was able to draw out a painful traumatic memory in a safe and supportive environment and mould it to something with no negative connotations. The centre staff are endlessly helpful, and only a phone call away. Dr Zamar and EMDR treatment is life changing for people with PTSD.

I cannot recommend Dr Andy Zamar highly enough. No parent wants to experience and endure their child experiencing mental illness. My son was very unwell when we saw Dr Zamar and a 1 year wait for CAMHS was simply not an option for us. Dr Zamar is both compassionate and highly experienced as a psychiatrist. He listens and analyses what's going on in a very informed and holistic way including us as parents but also with my teenage son. I have total trust and confidence with his advice and treatment but more importantly so does my son! My son is now looking to the future and what he wants to do with his life. This would not have been possible without the care and dedication of Dr Zamar and his team. The staff are so accommodating and Meg the receptionist is so welcoming- a total delight!

Best doctor in the world. He cured my wife. I am grateful and owe him our life. No words can be enough to describe Dr. Andy Zamar’s humanity. I will never forget how he answered me on a Sunday, helped me navigate through very difficult times. He is beyond a human, beyond a doctor, he is a true believer in people’s well-being. Leaving a rating was difficult as I've had 2 different experiences with this centre. If I was to review the centre alone and other professionals I'd seen there... it would definitely get a 1, as two of the staff I'd seen there previously were painfully unhelpful. The first seeming in a rush diagnosed me wrong, resulting in £18k worth of unnecessary RTMs treatments... when they realised it was a wrong diagnosis, there was no apology, the therapist never saw me again and I was placed in the care of Hamodi. And that's why I'm writing this review, so I won't be listing my complaints about the second staff I'd seen there. If I could leave a review for Hamodi alone it would be a 5. Hamodi treated me for complex PTSD alongside dissociation, using EMDR and his work has brought a significant amount of peace to my life. He created an environment in which I finally felt safe enough to open up, no easy accomplishment due to my past experiences... and he managed to do so because he genuinely cares and wants to help. Hamodi sees the human that is suffering when he engages his clients, he doesn't see a talking bank account unlike others. And because of that he goes above and beyond to make sure you are getting the support you need. This is vital in a therapist you'll do EMDR with because once the sessions start, pandoras box opens and the pain you released in that session follows you home. Regardless of when I was in his sight, at home or at work, Hamodi constantly checked to make sure I was okay. More than all of that, he became a figure in my life that I could trust and I could never thank him enough for that. His heart is huge and as annoyed as I am with this centre, if I didn't arrive here, I wouldn't have met the kindest, most supportive and caring therapist anyone could ask for and I am forever grateful to him. I wouldn't suggest anyone else to someone struggling with PTSD, you don't have to suffer with it alone.

This is a wonderful, professional clinic with supportive and caring staff. I’ve had just a single appointment so far but I’ve been very happy with my experience to date. The consultant was really thorough and took the time to listen to me and understand my concerns, which I’ve not had elsewhere.

I have recently been seeing Dr Zamar, after 15 years of suffering from PTSD. It took just 4 sessions of EMDR to go through my 3 traumas. I can't recommend this place enough, I wish I could recommend it to myself several years ago! On top of this, the receptionist was always really welcoming and lovely!

Never felt listen to or understood till I came here. I have seen a couple of different people and they all have listened, and for the first time actually helped me! I know it was can expensive but it is so worth it. I finally have my life on track and that is down to this amazing place. thank you.

Most clinics in Harley street charge a premium for their services, not necessarily because they are better, but because of their high rental prices in the area. Basically, you are paying for the postcode. The London Psychiatry Centre is one such clinic. They charge an arm and a leg (and then some) for their so-called "outstanding private treatment and integrated care." Indeed, they do have a roster of dedicated and qualified team comprised of leading consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Psychotherapists, but that is profoundly undermined by a higher management that is rapacious and is seemingly motivated only by money. As if their rates weren't extortionate enough, even by Harley Street standards, it seemed like my well being was the least of their concerns, so long as I kept lining their pockets, and that was after I forked over thousands of pounds. My advice is, always look around for other options, and never assume a clinic- or any service provider for that matter- is the best because they are located in a posh street. I know its common sense, but when you are sick and desperate for help (as I was), you really don't make the wisest decisions.

Someone close to me came here for treatment. 500£ and they prescribed him a device that is not available for sale and then did not offer to reimburse him and refused to give him another appointment for free. Scam artists.
