Wish I could give it zero stars! Waited over a month for an appointment only to have it cancelled the morning of because I “didn’t fill out the consent forms.” This would’ve been a super valid reason to cancel if they had actually sent me the consent forms! I looked everywhere in my email and text inbox and they never sent it to me. Then they said it was my fault! Abysmal, you’d be better off seeing literally *anyone* else but someone who works at this establishment.

Absolutely horrible experience. I originally scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist, but they passed me off to a physician's assistant, but was still charged the same amount as I would have been charged for the psychiatrist. I had a horrible experience with the PA (Roshni Desai), who just judged me for using medical cannabis and told me to read self-help books, and wrote me a prescription 3 weeks later for a $400(!!!) medication. I couldn't afford the medication, and when I called the office, the woman on the phone pretty just told me that I was poor. Then I received a $500 bill in the mail for the appointment. Worst experience I've ever had with a medical provider.

The actual mental health practitioners are fine, but the billing department will do everything they can to take advantage of you.
Fraudulent charges, inconsistent billing statements, ever-changing costs per session, and canceled appointments are just a few of the fun experiences you might have if you have any issues with Clarity's billing department!
Best of luck if you ever need to try to get your full detailed billing statements!

They send your bills into collections before you even receive a statement. Some charges on these bills are completely invalid. It’s a shame because the PA I was seeing was great.

I was surprised to see that Clarity had even a single 1 star review. I’ve had such good experiences being a patient here. It bothered me actually, but they are probably google bots, idk... Clarity has amazing doctors and therapists working there. I would recommend this office to anyone!

Atrocious customer service. You will never get a call back from them. Your appointment will always get cancelled. And you will never see a doctor, you will always see a PA. I could go on but don't waste your time with Clarity Clinic because they do not care about you.

Billing department is incompetent and sent my account to collection, even though insurance pays at 100% and I have never carried a balance. When I attempted to correct the issue directly with the billing department I was rudely dismissed. I was able to dispute the incorrect information and get the collections removed from my credit, however this placed was more of a liability to my mental health than it was helpful. I wouldn’t recommend until they get an adequate reception and billing staff.

Not interested in helping you and will bill multiple times for the same visit.
Went here for over a year, and not a single one of my visits started less then 6 minutes late. Once I checked in and waited over 30 minutes and received a text that my appointment was canceled and I was billed $100 for not showing up. The admin didn't even apologize and just scheduled me for the next week. As far as billing, they told me once that my bill was about $200 less than I tried to explain it was. I even showed them the paper bill that came to my house and they insisted it was the lower number. I paid it and then turns out they had someone else's information pulled up, despite me showing them the paper bill with my name and info on it. So mine was late and I had a $150 charge pending on my account for two weeks. Further, they'll send like four statements for the same visit, so try and just guess which bill is right - online might be right. Oh, and they don't do referrals, so expect to lose your medication prescription and go through withdrawal if you have to relocate for any reason, including a pandemic.
Absolutely terrible place and people. Better luck somewhere else.

I have been seeing my therapist, Tara, every week for a little more than 3 years. She basically saved my life. I was referred to Clarity, specifically Tara, by my college counselor. Can't express how thankful I am for her and Clarity. The staff is equally amazing and so easy to get in contact with. Even in times of emergency.

Leaving the clinic as they didn’t give me notice on my Doctor leaving, charging me $100 no show for something the doctor said was fine, not answering calls after leaving 4 voicemails in 2 weeks, consistently late on appointment times(by up to an hour), Billing and front desk are generally rude. You have to have a therapist as well as the insincere 15 min you spend talking every couple of months doesn’t cut it.
Clarity is a business first, a clinic second.

If I could give zero stars I would. While the medical staff at Clarity Clinic have never been an issue, their administrative, billing and back office team have been exceptionally difficult to work with and dishonest (or at the very least incompetent). I underwent a series of testing at the clinic totaling a bit over $1000 dollars. Luckily for me (or so I thought) Clarity Clinic is in my healthcare insurers network so the entirety of the test minus copay would be covered. Repeatedly, Clarity Clinic tried to stick me with the unadjusted cost of the bill for $1025 even after I instructed them multiple times that insurance can and will cover the cost (I even called insurance to verify). Received a lovely collections letter in the mail yesterday stating that I was responsible for the totality of the bill or a derogatory mark would be placed on my credit report....so I ended up having to cover the bill myself or face my credit score getting crushed. Very upset, I call my insurance company to see why they failed to cover the balance and come to find out that after multiple requests, CLARITY CLINIC FAILED TO SUBMIT MY MEDICAL RECORDS TO INSURANCE SO THEY WOULD/COULD NOT COVER THE COST OF THE TESTING! How Clarity Clinic even booked and scheduled the testing for me without having insurance looped in is beyond me! I now have file a dispute with my insurer to retroactively cover the cost even though its 100% Clarity Clinic's fault. In a best case scenario, my insurer has to approve the dispute, cuts a check to Clarity Clinic, Clarity Clinic cuts a check to the BS collections agency they sent me too, then the collection agency sends me a hard check in the mail reimbursing me for the $1000+ I paid out of pocket. The timeline for a resolution if everything goes perfectly is 90 days. The sick part about all of this is good luck trying to talk to someone to help you resolve issues, Mary and the billing team just don't care. Horribly run medical practice, do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.
Edit as of 4/27: This issue was rectified after I paid collections out of pocket then worked with my insurance/clarity clinic to cut me a reimbursement check...all in all it was about a 6 week process until I got my money back. Keeping the review at 1 star and it seems like I'm not alone in dissatisfaction with their billing team. Ownership just responded months after the issue was rectified due to personal efforts with a "copy and paste" response that is utilized for all patients that have had issue with the billing department.

Like many other people, I also agree that the medical staff seem very well-equipped, and I never had any problems with Dr. Eftekhar. But the office management is such a mess. I had so many problems with scheduling, and more than once trying to call the office when there was a problem with my prescription - they wouldn't put me through to Dr. Eftekhar, any P.A., or even leave them a message. Super dangerous. In the end that caused me to terminate my care with this clinic.

I am 100 percent disappointed by their behavior.
I have waited more that a month for my first visit and just 10 minutes before the session begin, they cancelled it.
I explained that I need to visit the doctor, they said they cannot find any appointment until next month. I was really surprised how much they do not care about the patients. The managers (or whoever in charge) did not even return my call. The doctor could not care less.
They promised me another doctor for the next day, but that was a big lie. They offered my an assistant not a real doctor. I was very disappointed by their lack of empathy, their unprofessional manner and their impoliteness.

Dr. Eftekhar is great. She takes the time to understand your challenges before making any suggestions for treatment. She also looks at you holistically and explore several outlets that may help (types of therapies, types of medicines, etc). She is very supportive, and I’m sad to lose her as my psych now that I’ve moved to a different state.

The receptionist is absolutely terrible. They will never call you back or try to right their wrongs. I wish I never wasted my time here and I need psychiatric help. I will be emailing their HR office as well. I called over 40 times this morning for my appointment and no one answered.

Management office will play phone tag with you for weeks, one member of front desk staff consistently rude and off putting. For a mental health office they have caused me more distress and issues- it’s very much not worth it. If you are seeking a reliable, relieving, and uplifting experience there are better offices in Chicago- that won’t take your money and will call you back.

Terrible service, pharmacies and clients can never get a hold of a single person in the office. Several times my meds are unable to be filled because the doctor does not send in prescriptions and no one can get a hold of them.
THESE PATIENTS ARE MENTAL HEALTH PATIENTS AND YOU SHOULD BE CALLING WHEN APPOINTMENTS ARE NEEDED TO BE SCHEDULED AND SENDING IN PRESCRIPTIONS AFTER THEY ARE SEEN BY A DOCTOR.
So if you want a office that doesn’t care about patients or them going off meds cold turkey then sure I guess this is the place ????????♀️

I've been living in Chicago for 10 years, and have had a number of mental health treatment providers over that time. Clarity Clinic is by far the best! I've been a patient for the past 4 years, and can't imagine getting treatment anywhere else. A big shoutout to the front desk staff, the PAs, and Doctors Prasad and Myles who have been nothing short of awesome/supportive to me since Day 1. I love the ability to easily book/schedule and attend appointments online. There's no way I would have survived the sh*t show that was 2020 without Clarity Clinic.

I am writing this review in hopes someone at management at the Clarity Clinic, River North office reads this and give me a call back to resolve this today.
This office has consistently missed the mark and their negligence and poor communication is costing me and my family thousands of dollars.
I've been waiting for the Clinic to send me a copy of my insurance forms for over two months. I have made this request in person twice, and have been told in both occasions that the clinic would take care of it. As of now, yet to be done. Every day including today, they either hang-up or tell me to call a different department.
The insurance company closed my case due to the delay and now I have to file another form to reopen it. Clarity Clinic does not make me feel I can trust them to follow through basic administrative paperwork and correct their own mistakes. Meanwhile, I get to suffer the mental, financial and emotional consequences.
I am still waiting for course correction and Clarity Clinic to send me the paperwork I have requested.
Even though I have had a successful treatment with my doctor, I am very displeased with the ineffective and unresponsive customer service I have received from this team. Unfortunately, I won't be recommending it to any of my friends and family.
I would not send anyone I love to Clarity Clinic River North.

Clarity Clinic is known for not submitting claims to insurance companies and charging patients the full cost of visits. I was charged full cost of visits for 5 months and have not been compensated.

They never let you speak to a psychiatrist. The only time I saw one was when Colleen, the PA, brought him in to yell at me for not taking my medication, but he had no clue what medication I was even on.

I would NEVER recommend this place!!! They REFUSE TO SEND us a bill, REFUSE to talk to us me so I can pay my child's bill!!! It always goes to collections. Have tried to solve the issue, but apparently no one at the office will give us the time of day! Nothing ever changes, next I will report them to the BBB next! I am doing everything to make sure my child goes elsewhere!!!!
