After having a issue with another garage not being able to fix my handbrake I was recommended I take it to Autovets Brighton, I should tell you I don't have a "normal" run of the mill vehicle, its an Dodge Nitro. I'm giving Autovets FIVE STARS! because there service is second to none, Sam kept me in the loop as to what needed doing and the work was completed. I have informed Sam that I am bringing my M.O.T and service to him next year as I was very impressed with there service.

Came here having had a poor (and expensive!) experience with BMW in Brighton, Sam explained everything to me clearly, gave me a much better price and fitted the work in for me at the last minute and was super helpful in every respect. I will definitely be using them from now on.

Sam saved our day by fixing our car bonnet moments before a driving test! We were in a panicked rush and hadn’t booked the car in, and Sam took to the task with gusto! Super duper service at a very reasonable cost. I get my MOT with these folks too, very trustworthy, great communicators, highly recommend.

I had a really good experience from this company. Good communication about work required and when it would be carried out. They personally went to collect parts from quite a distance to save courier costs and lent me a courtesy car while work was carried out. Everyone was friendly and professional and costs were kept as low as possible. I will be using this company again. Thank you Sam & team.

A superb experience from start to finish and Sam was fantastic explaining exactly what was required to fix my car. Costs were explained and also what he would need to do to my car to fix the faults. When I picked it up this morning, discussed everything that he had done to my car, and the best bit - it had been cleaned too. I would recommend this garage as it really was a five star experience.

I used this garage for the first time for a Service and was very impressed with the service. They were informative, professional, took time to explain everything, the car was ready when they said it would be and the price came in cheaper than the original quote. They are 100% better than the BMW dealer (Chandlers) I've used in the past who charge a fortune, you have to chase for updates and your car is rarely ready when they say it will be. I would definitely use Autovets again and would highly recommend to friends and family.

Sam helped get my somewhat knackered Corsa fixed and ready for a 500 mile round trip to Cornwall in which it drove impeccably. Recently my dog (a large Malamute) decided she would claw her way through the rear light cluster in my 2011 C Class. This happened the day before I needed to make a 200 mile trip.
I went to 2 garages before I tried Autovets and both of them said I wouldn't find anywhere that would sort the problem besides a main dealer.
I found Autovets and I am SO GLAD that I did.
The service I received was second to none and very personable. The manager genuinely cares about the job and it's clear the staff are all passionate about the work they do.
They heard the issues I had and made calls immediately to order parts to remedy the situation, within 24 hours they had sorted a problem that had me in an absolute panic, with a cost very close to the quoted estimate.
Realistically a less honest garage could have charged me triple and for an entire loom replacement (based on the viewable damage I would not have questioned it), but they repaired what they could and replaced only what they safely needed to.
10/10 - 5 Stars
Don't bother with anyone else.

Being new to the Brighton area, I was gobsmacked by how many mechanics there are in the area. I looked at internet reviews to find a reliable place to get my car fixed and was impressed with what customers had to say about Autovets. My car needed quite a bit of work, and Autovets sent a quote by email. When I left the car, Sam explained all the work that needed to be done.
Unfortunately, while doing the repair, another problem showed itself. Sam explained that a new part was needed, and he clearly explained the extra cost to me. Sam showed me how it was supposed to work and I saw that it was quite obviously worn. I'm glad it was spotted since the part is only usually visible when the water pump is replaced. Another mechanic may have overlooked the issue. This could have potentially wrecked the repairs that were just done.
I don't live very far from the garage, and being in general health quite unwell, Sam very kindly gave me a lift back to my home when I dropped the car off, and again brought the car to me when it was time to have it back. I was also pleasantly surprised that the car had been cleaned. Fabulous service. I highly recommend this garage.

Family run business. Great customer service. Very helpful and informative. They keep you up to date with what's happening and they even washed the car afterwards. Highly recommended. Friendly, trustworthy garage. I recently took my car to Autovets for what I was expecting to be a very expensive repair job. I mentioned concerns about mysterious engine noises and other vague things, which would have made it very easy for them to suggest unnecessary work, but they gave the car a clean bill of health. On a previous occasion when work was necessary, it was done very well and, I believe, at a very reasonably price. Every visit I have made to Autovets has been a positive experience.

I had great experiences from Autovets and would highly recommend this place.
When my first car was broken down, they helped me finding another second handed car that fitted to my budget and gave a thorough service to the car. It has been 1 year since, I never had any troubles with the car. I came back to Autovet this week to have a MOT and a service. It only needed minor adjustments. I can keep driving the car safely.

Excellent garage! Sam sorted out my Audi A3 engine, after what turned out to be cambelt failure (cambelt was done a year earlier in different garage), he explained everything clearly and gave me options on how we can proceed. Then he showed me what exactly happened and which parts had to be replaced. He is a perfectionist, a quality you definitely want your car mechanic to have! Very happy with the work, after care, guarantee on the job and overall customer service of guys in the garage.

As a newish driver and fairly clueless about most mechanical issues, even I could tell the huge difference a new battery and alternator made to many aspects of my new generation 15 yr old Beetle.. (Locking, window movement, gear shifting)..I don't think the work was priced unreasonably, and would probably be happy to pay just over £400 again next time around..
The car died on me on New Year's day, and Neil kindly let me have it sitting in the forecourt for a day, and it was ready by the 3rd.. Friendly, courteous, professional and well on the way to building a pretty awesome reputation.. Stealerships beware..

These guys are great. Honest, communicative, reasonably priced and their work is quality. You might find cheaper but you won’t find better value for money and they pay their staff in a traditional, no-commission way so you don’t have to worry that they are going to add unnecessary work just to line their pockets. Wouldn’t go anywhere else in Brighton.

Sam is great. This garage take proper time to diagnose a fault, check whether this really is the the issue and test properly before returning the car. I was quoted a price for a big piece of work but when the garage did their careful diagnostics I was so happy to find it could be remedied much more cheaply. This never would have happened at other garages who can be quick to take your money whether the work is needed or not. Very very pleased.

I've been using local garages for twenty years and Autovets is the best I've encountered. Sam has not long had the business under his own name, but his approach is really customer-focused and this extends to every member of his team that I've dealt with. They know their stuff too, and nothing seems to faze them. I also appreciated the fact that Sam takes an interest in sorting issues out with the minimum of expense and fuss - they're certainly not out to crank up the bill, and everything was explained in a language that I could understand. I'll certainly be using them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Top notch, won't find anywhere better in Sussex! Sam is brilliant, he did our work at half the price of Mini and did it promptly, it was ready by lunchtime that same day!
