The Medical Chambers Kensington

Excellent service received in respect of my per-employment medical examination, decently priced and highly professional. I would recommend this clinic.

The short version: brilliant, kind and thorough consultant (Dr George); terrible reception/admin service. Initially, I made an enquiry via the website form. I received an email giving me an appointment time (without bothering to question me as to when I could come), which turned out to be at an inconvenient time for me to travel to London, so I quickly emailed back and explained I hadn't actually requested this date/time, and asked for a video appointment. At no time in this process was I asked directly for payment/a deposit. The registration form also makes no mention of fees. There is a link halfway down the page of the confirmation email that mentions fees and which I initially missed, but even that link doesn't actually take you directly to any list of charges; you have to click through a few pages to dig them out. I've previously had private appointments where the initial consultation is free, so I (understandably) assumed they would have been clear with me if there were charges here (I don't consider a link that doesn't actually take you to the fees page to provide clarity). After my appointment, I had a phone call saying that 'a new member of reception staff' had made an error in not taking my card details; unfortunately I was in an area of poor reception and got cut off before I could reply, but there was a follow-up email saying they'd sent me an receipt of payment in error, and attached an invoice. I replied saying I wasn't sure this was reasonable given that no payment had been mentioned or requested explicitly at time of booking, and that this had been due to their own error. A few emails went back and forth, and eventually I agreed to pay despite not feeling it was reasonable, partly because Dr George had been great, and partly because work is extremely busy and I don't have the time to keep emailing back and forth. I made an instant bank transfer and emailed to say I'd done so. I stated given that they had admitted making errors in handling the booking, I thought they should have waived the fee or at least offered a reduced fee. This morning, I received a phone call (despite previously requesting to only be contacted by email as I often can't take calls in work) refusing my suggestion of waiving/reducing the fee, and asking for payment! When I pointed out that I'd already transferred the payment and had emailed them to say so, the receptionist acted with surprise and said she didn't know, meaning they hadn't even bothered to check their emails or bank account after all that. In short: they made errors at the time of booking, admitted as much, weren't fully transparent with their costs (despite the fact that they will no doubt say a link halfway down an email that doesn't actually take you directly to a list of fees constitutes clarity), refused to back down or offer any gesture of goodwill, called me while at work despite me having made it clear that this is totally inconvenient (and it's not as though I hadn't provided an alternative means of contact, or hadn't been responding quickly to emails), and badgered me for money after I'd already paid and told them so. I've little doubt I'll get a snarky critical response to this review, but every part of the above is fully accurate. I will reiterate that Dr George is great - compassionate, warm, thorough, knowledgeable and professional - so if you can tolerate the poor reception service in order to make an appointment with her, I would recommend her very highly.

Dr Adib is brilliant and a wonderful gynaecologist. She diagnosed an issue that was missed by 3 previous doctors. She’s also warm, reassuring and has excellent bedside care. Highly recommend her!

I would give 0 stars to the reception staff if I could. We were held at the reception for too long with a crying toddler on our hands. They couldn't believe we hadn't received a confirmation letter and a registration form by email though I had called them two days in a row and they couldn't fix that. As for the doctor paeditrician we expected a more thorough examination.

If you are not even honest about the small things, how can you expect others to believe you will be honest about the big things? Let me tell you about my experience: They have a policy where they charge you £2 for a mask, which at the beginning of the crisis at least they did *not* notify patients (or, at least, me) about when booking the appointment over the phone (maybe it was in their fine print) I said at reception that I did not want to pay the fee. They offered to give me a mask for free, so I went ahead with the appointment. However, they went ahead and charged my card. I sent them an email which did not get replied to for three months. I received a reply saying that their sign outside the clinic clearly states that masks cost £2. I wrote back to the person re-explaining that I did not ask to purchase a mask but was offered one for free. However, she did not reply for a month. I called today and a lady with an uncooperative attitude picked up the phone, first saying to me her manager was on another line, then saying she was not willing to speak to me and asking me to send another email. When I stated that I had sent an email already, they said to me they were not willing to speak to me any further and said they were sorry.

This place is beautiful and clean. I have gone ahead with an orthodontic treatment with Dr Marie, her and her team have been absolutely spectacular. Some of my friends still don't know that I'm wearing braces! My teeth have started to move pretty quickly and results have been visible from a couple of visits into the treatment. I cannot recommend the practice enough, I smile so much more these days!

I’ve been registered here since they opened and have nothing but praise for the entire team. Their friendly and prompt service is second to none!

I am very disappointed with the service, I was told that I could bring my blood test results and scans And diagnosis from my Nhs gp to my consultation here and would be advised on a treatment plan. Instead you want me to repeat the same blood tests And scans I’ve done to take more money from me!

Great experience with Dr Friedmann and his team, especially during the difficult time of Covid. They remained attentive and very professional, taking all the sanitary measures to ensure everyone stayed healthy. I strongly recommend this practice and Dr Friedmann!

This is such a great place! Went here for all my private scans with Ciara, who is amazing! She takes a lot of time to each appointment, and is an excellent photographer of the little baby :) I can only recommend 5*

Second visit with Dr Nevi - great doctor! I recently moved from West to east London but I’m still confident I will keep her as my doctor in the future. Emily at the front desk is really kind and helpful! Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I had an appointment with Dr Bataille 2 years ago following what seemed like an enduring skin allergy. I spent a total of £775 (£195 initial appointment+£460 test and sample taking+ £120 post test debrief). I was diagnosed as a form of acne: multiple appointments + testing of skin sample in outside lab. Today I still have exactly the same spots in the same place. I did use the recommended Bioderma creams.

I can't believe i forgot to leave a review here. Over a year ago I was at work and my wife and son came to see Dr Anne Buk-Serero. My son was ill, he was 8 months old. Dr Anne Buk-Serero came inside the waiting room to part treat him, embarassing my wife when she pulled the pampers in a hurry my son started crying, everybody was looking at them, we made a complaint and there was no follow-up and no refund. How did i remembered to leave a review? My son is ill again and i'm looking for a private clinic but i am definetly NOT choosing this one.

I really recommend Dr Dumitru. My mother saw her a few months ago with an unknown skin problem. She was very professional, and kind. Really cares about her patients.

Very professional and polite service. The dermatologist I saw was excellent. They are very good with children too. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Convenient location near Earl's Court tube station.

I had a negative experience to start with where my appointment didn't include a scan and I was still charged £250 for an unsatisfactory consultation. The clinic then called me and made up for their mistake by arranging an appointment with a doctor who was amazing and provided me with a scan that exceeded my expectations. They then called me again to make sure I was happy with the procedure, which I thought was very professional.

We have been very happy with the scans at the Medical Chambers Kensington. All made by Ciara which we recommend 100%

Nothing to say about the doctor that I saw today. She was excellent. But I'm angry about the bad staff at the reception (which ruined at the end my visit) Where i was literally accused of wanting fraud because I just asked to separates the invoice per 2 : 1 for consultation with the doctor and 1 for the infirmary. The receptionist was just aggressive, she just could refuse it more nicely... without mentioning the multiple mistakes made in my data. I really think that at this level there are improvements to do..

I've had my pregnancy scans here, and I have to say I am very pleased and highly recommend them. Very thorough and professional for every scan.

I have been registered with this practice for about a year and have never had an on time appointment. On four previous occasions I've had to wait between 20 and 45 minutes to be seen. Pretty shoddy for a private medical practice. The doctors are good but the time keeping is just horrendous.

Baffled on how quick and easy it is to book a consultation and get things done without any hassle or extremely long delays, which is convenient for a busy bee like. Her office is surrounded in a medical hub by the Cromwell Hospital and 5min walk from The Medical Chambers. FR- Médecin Traitant privé recommandable à la communié francophone; un profile de médecin à l'écoute et dont la pratique est efficace. La prise de rendez-vous est rapide et l'attente quasi inexistante utile pour les personnes qui n'ont pas le goût pour l'interminable attente chez le médecin. Ses bureaux sont convenablement situé au sein d'un centre médical à l'arrière de l'hôpital local et proche de la Clinique Français des Medical Chambers of Kensington.
