Doctor Ballantyne & treatment was fine, but the billing and upfront clarity of costs was purposefully clouded. They required $250 upfront for cash customer but could not explain what the basic office visit would cost. Every other doctors' office I've been to can do this. But because of a trusted referral, I went anyway. After treatment, I asked for the itemized cost and was told it would be in the coming statement. I got the remaining bill due, it was also purposefully clouded, and very high for the service. I called and spoke to Wanda and when pressed on the base office visit cost (that cost was omitted from the statement) she said it was based on level of treatment. When pressed on what mine was she couldn't tell me, when pressed further, she said it was my $250. Deflection at it's finest. I called back to ask for a clear detailed list of billed items, she then let it slip that my office visit was $316. Wow, why not be direct and upfront? The answer is obvious, it's an outrageous office visit fee.

Dr. Kessler is my Neck and Back Surgeon and I wouldn't use anyone but him. I moved from Newnan, Ga. to Blairsville, Ga. which is 3 hrs away. I made the drive several times in 2016 after Dr. Kessler done a Fusion at C5 and 6. I'll continue to make the drive if I ever need him again.

THIS GROUP OF DOCTORS ARE THE GREATEST. IVE HAD 3 SUGERYS HERE AND ALL WERE VERY SUCCESSFUL. DR. GRUBER DID A FULL KNEE JOINT REPLACEMENT. THEY THE STAFF ARE WONDERFUL. MY KNEE WAS BONE ON BONE AND GIVING ME A LOT OF PAIN I CHOOSE TO HAVE DR. GRUBER TO FIX IT BOY IM SO GLAD I DID IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS AND IM WALKING EVERYWHERE. I PROMISE YOU NO PAIN. I WAS WALKING THE DAY OF THE SUGERY. THE STAFF AND JARED IS THE BEST. FOLLOW UP AFTER THE OPERATION WAS EXCELLENT. I WOULD USE THESES DOCTORS AGAIN AND AGAIN. THEY ARE THE MOST PROFESSIONAL DOCTORS THAT I KNOW. IM 71 AND AFTER BACK KNEE AND SHOULDER SUGERY IM LIKE NEW AGAIN. THANKS TO GEORGIA BONE AND JOINT STAFF AND DOCTORS. CURTIS BROWN

Dr. Gruber has helped me so much. The care of his office staff has made my recovery easy. I am able to use my hand after joint replacement. I recommend Bone and Joint to assist you in surgery and recovery of injured joints and bone. They also set my mom's broken ankle so she would not have surgery later. She is 86 and it healed perfectly thanks to their expertise. Wonderful place during painful times in your life. "

I recently got knee surgery at the summit location, and I can not give enough thanks to the wonderful nurses and anesthesiologist that were with me every step of the way!! I was extremely nervous going in, but their kind words of support and reassurance helped me so much. Although the doctors themselves are not the kindest, the incredible supporting staff more than made up for it. I can not thank them enough for their help!

I loved my doctor! He was very attentive and did a great job fixing my problem. However, I wasn't as pleased with office staff. When I called to get my account balance, because I wanted to pay it off, the lady informed me that I got a bill every month. I told her I know i got a bill every month and I paid on it every month. I then told her i was at work, my bill was at home, and cold she just tell me what I owed so I could send in the remaining balance. Just thought sh was kind of rude to someone who was paying off their balance.

3 years ago Gruber told me I needed 2 new knees. Pretty shocking for a 50yo to hear that... but that wasn't the issue i went in for.... he missed the issue thinking he'd get a double knee replacement out of me.
Here we are almost 3 years later and different Dr [today] says there is no issue with my knees (the joint) at all, they're very healthy (I saw the xrays) and what I have didn't warrant a knee replacement.
If you use this office, be sure to get a 2nd or 3rd opinion making their own x-rays. I'd suggest finding a different doctor group in the 1st place though.

It has been a great experience. Dr. Michael Cushing did a great ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair. My Physical Therapist Gayla is the best! Without her I don’t think I would of been able to get back on my feet. Everyone there is very attentive.

I’ve used Georgia Bone and Joint for years and have always had positive experiences!!! I’ve had two major surgeries that have ended with success and I have cortisone injections every 4-6 months and use Darren, Dr Cushing’s PA and I won’t allow anyone but him to do the injections!!! Overall, I’d recommend Ga Bone & Joint all day long!!!

I only gave a one star so i could write a review!! I have been refused treatment by this facility three times while in chronic pain. first time i was told that i needed to drop some pounds before they could do surgery, second time i was told that surgery wouldn't stop me from having pain and suggested that i should get a shot but i would have to have a second MRI done because it's been a year since i had the last one! I had the MRI i done and was told that i need to come in immediately after i get the MRI done and i did that just to be told because of my A1C # they couldn't treat me so i asked about therapy i was told that medicaid dont pay for therapy! Now out of all these three visit i didnt have a problem with what was told to me because i get the picture. I was really being told that they couldn't help me and That's fine because i know that God can! But what really hurt me is that when i was told if my pain gets worse or if i have no control with my urine or bowels to come back!! REALLY! So you all can get more paid visits out of medicaid? If you're telling a person that you cant treat them, why would you tell them if the need be"come back"? Dont worry I'll wait for the answer........

I have visited Georgia Bone and Joint for several different reasons. Lower back issues and broken bones. Each experience has been as pleasant as can be. My diagnosis and treatment has always been explained to me in words I can understand and the PAs are always available if I have questions. I will continue treatment and recommend to anyone.

I've been a patient with Georgia Bone and Joint for many years as circumstances required. I recommend them highly. I've seen more than one of their doctors since they all have specialties. I have never found one who wasn't patient with me, who wasn't willing to show me my Xrays and explain what they meant or suggested. I recently had ankle replacement surgery after years of traumatic arthritis. I am now walking comfortably, working out, and playing golf without pain.

They refused to treat me this morning! Even though I have proper insurance and no medical emergency. They wanted me to go the emergency room even though I explained to them all I need are xrays and aa doctor looking at my foot. Very frustrating!

Dr. Balentine and Ga Bone and Joint are amazing. Had six weeks of Physical therapy at Ga Bone and Joint for a very bad sprained ankle. Thought they have so many patients to care at once, when I visit there, my doctor went out a few times during my treatment and I had to wait around 5-10 mins each time. Also the nurse didn't care about my saying, she just looked busy and was in hurry on her work,,, not a positive experience.

Dr. Ballentyne is my doctor and he has always been there for me starting with aches, pains, P.T. and surgery. The day I had my surgery was 11-11-11 and I felt what a great day this will be. My hip surgery turned out absolutely perfect and I am SO happy with the results. I continue to be amazed with what doctors can do for us and I trust Dr. Ballentyne and all his staff very much. I had siatica so severe the last few years that I was unable to walk without help. Dr. Kessler operated on me in August 2018 and I have never suffered with leg pain since then. I feel the care I received from Dr Kessler and his PA Beth Fleming was exceptional. They explained everything to me and after the surgery the took care of me for the next six months to be sure that things had gone well. I will always go to them when I need help. They are the best.

Pleasant office atmosphere and excellent doctors. Dr. McMath did a surgery on my elbow a year ago and I would have to point out the scar for anyone to know it is there. It’s that faint.
He’s also worked with my sons for sports injuries and helped them to prevent future injuries.

Excellent care and professional service. However, duo to Medicare restrictions on areas to be xrayed, it took awhile to find the root causes of my pain which was cancer of the right femur. Once found, the Dotors and PA’s took immediate action for emergency surgery.
