I do not normally write reviews but I felt compelled to do so after reading the review written by Ms Lowry. She must have seen a different surgeon as her description of Mr Bridle bears no resemblance to the surgeon that replaced my left hip last year. I found Mr Bridle to be a very amiable man and an excellent surgeon. I was in a lot of pain before the operation but as Mr Bridle promised me I would not be in pain after the operation and he was right! I was off using crutches after 4 days and the physiotherapists I saw after the operation were amazed that I could do all the exercises that I was asked to do without any problems. This I put down to Mr Bridle’ expertise at doing minimal damage to the muscles and tissues that have to be cut in order to get to the hip. If I need to replace my other hip I would again go to Mr Bridle without hesitation.

Simon Bridle carried out surgery on my knee recently. I find him to be a straight up, no nonsense type of guy who is very experienced and clearly knows how to handle an arthroscope and whatever other implements he uses to perform corrective surgery. From the first assessment session he suggested a path to find the least intrusive, most efficient course of treatment, taking into account my condition and specific circumstances. After later reassessment we went the surgery route which he carried out quickly, efficiently and provided information every step of the way right up to the final post-op review. That included letters to both my GP and physio to keep them informed and which were written in the same, straight-talking, natural style which I very much appreciate. It’s all to easy to appear impersonal and kind of aloof while being ‘professional’, but Mr Bridle gets the balance right In my opinion. He has humility and seems to have a genuine passion for what he does. I could tell this was true after shaking his hand and thanking him for literally getting me back on my feet ...and on the road to recovery. I highly recommend Mr Bridle and thank him for giving me back a full set of working knees!

Possibly the worst surgeon I have ever had, and doesn't have a compassionaye bone in gis body. I saw one of his colleagues he said "it's funny your my third patient to complain about Mr Bridle today"
