Great, lively market with a wide variety of foods and drinks available. Lots of other shops in the nearby railway arches too, so well worth a visit to the area overall. Includes bakeries, dairies, honey shop, bottle shops for beer and cider, as well as lots of a few breweries that serve their beers on the weekends. This market and general area form part of the Bermondsey Beer walk which is well worth a visit, especially for those looking to get a sense of London, other than tourist traps and palaces.

Cool, boho artisan market nestled under the arches of the railway track. Proper Dickensian vibe. Varied street food choices. Quirky toilets.

Our favourite street food market in London at the moment! We love the vibe, the food diversity, the organic Italian wine tasting and the 40 Maltby Street restaurant! In between, plenty of great options, like this Spanish style tapas bar or the oyster bar! A new restaurant just opened next to it that looks very promising as well! We keep going back and it never gets old!

Especially love the Beefsteaks! Alex and his team are the best and consistently serve up stunning onglet with great fries.

Relatively small market but a good selection of food stands, especially around Christmas time. Not great for social distancing though - doesn’t seem to be any regulation on wearing masks etc, and there are a lot of people in a very tight space!

Intimate market with a real variety of food as well as fresh produce. A perfect antidote to the bigger touristy options.

Love this food market! They have a great mix of foods to chose from and change out the vendors frequently enough we can always find something ew if we’re looking to. I will say I’d highly recommend going on the early side as it gets very busy and the lines get long.

Great variety of food stalls. I particularly liked the cheese toasty stall, wrap stall, and brownie stall to name a few! It’s a great place to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday and there’s plenty of outdoor seating which is ideal.

Love this market. So much food choice on offer. Market stalls as well as restaurants and bars in the arches. If you're worried about Covid though, there's not a lot of space so be prepared to be in a crowd

Very cute little market with a decent variety of food vendors. Can get very busy and crowded when the weather is good. Lot of nice little bars line the market under the arches so you can spend a while and have a some great street food with a drink.

Great food from local people who have been pushed out of Borough Market due to greedy landlords. Go earlier in the morning on Saturday to avoid the crowds, unless you like that sort of thing.

A very nice place to eat Street food in London. People from different nations are displaying their skill in creating a wide variety of delicious food. This is also a very good place to prepare the stomach for the beer mile ;)

It is annoying that you usually cannot find a place to sit down and enjoy the food. But this is a good market to go during the weekend.

Great place for weekend street food! You can find a variety of food, from Indian to Japanese, Italian or American etc. There’s also craft beer and craft coffee. Finding room to sit down might be tough during peak times, but there are places that offer seating if you order.

I was just having a relaxing walk on a surprisingly quiet side of London when I happened upon this Street Market. Feeling curious, I decided to check it out. Walked past countless food stalls but wasn't particularly hungry so I ignored them. Finally, I sat down for some waffles with chicken. Was pleasantly surprised when a fellow Singaporean family joined me on the table. Had a hearty chat with them before continuing my journey down the street. Had some more fantastic street food along the way until the end of the street market. Maltby Street Market might not be as well known as the others but I dare say it offers a better experience than them!

I really like this market because of the loads of gluten free options from the vendors!

A Food haven for hipsters! This food market had dishes from all ends of the earth, each stall offering something different, I struggled to choose just ONE to buy. I will definitely need to go back to try some of the other things on offers. The smell of the food is enough to draw you in - be wary of the crowds and I recommend bring cash, some venders do have card machines but some don't.

A small diverse local market featuring pastries, fresh seafood, coffee shops, Italian food, beer and wine and an assortment of international food. The only draw back it lacked a fresh produce market.

Pretty and compact food market, though there is limited seating. Not a massive range of stalls and very few options for less than £8. The Ethiopian stall down the far end is very good and takes cards. Worth visiting if you tie in with a trip to the Bermondsey Beer Mile but probably not worth going out of your way to pay a visit.

Great to break out of the lockdown reality and “socialise” even just a little. Good food and drink options. Be there in time as weekends and PHs tend to wreck the place and overcrowd it.

There is a great selection of all kinds of food from all over the world. Grab some food and head to the modern beer bar for a great selection of bottled beer and a few draughts. The "bar man" is one of the coolest guys in London. Rain or shine definitely a must visit.

Lovely chic rustic food market next to viaduct in Bermondsey. Very busy when I visited on Saturday lunchtime. If you are bored of the crowds at Borough market, give this place a go before everyone finds out about it and descends on area.

Small market with just food stalls! Atmosphere was nice. Tried the waffles, it was average. Pretty street though with the international flags hanging up! I wouldn’t come here just for the food.

I went to the Maltby street market today. It was rainy day, so there are not so many people, but I liked it. I had my lunch with chese toast and one beer. Beer restaurant allowed to have my food which I bought outside. They were so kind and friendly. Atmosphere was also great. I was able to enjoy my lovely weekend. I'll go again soon.

Good street food options, like any other market in London. This one is not so crowded which is nice. Food quality may be good but all dishes around £9 is expensive compared to other markets, even in Borough which is minutes away and meals are around £6-7.

Mainly visited to visit Monty's Deli for a salt beef sandwich as featured with Tom Kerridge on Saturday kitchen..... certainly worth the trip. The market itself is mainly a small street food market set in the arches of a railway line with a wide variety on offer as well as Hiver which is a honey beer.
