My boyfriend offered me the 2h30 Flower Masterclass. We were just 4 + the teacher due to Covid, which was the perfect size! We first started with a quick introduction of the class and flowers in general then we walked to their little cutting garden which is just a few minutes away, and we had the opportunity to cut as many flowers and green as wanted to create our bouquet. Back to the studio, more flowers were waiting for us and we all enjoyed creating our composition with the help of the teacher. We even had some tea and little biscuits which made the experience even more cosy! At the end, we could use their beautiful pink setup to take pictures before to go! It was a really lovely experience, thank you!!

I had the most amazing time during the 3-day career course! Anna and Issy were lovely and taught us so much about the creative side of things, but also about the flowers business. I was a complete beginner but I now feel confident to start my own flowers journey. 100% would recommend doing a workshop with them (and the place is absolutely beautiful)

I had such fantastic service with Anna for my wedding flowers as the mood boards were really detailed and were exactly the vision I had wanted. I would highly recommend the Flower Appreciation Society for any event! Will definitely be using them again in the future.

The 3 day career course was brilliant. We covered various processes and techniques for building bouquets and arrangements, and learned so many tips and insights from a business perspective too. The studio is beautiful, and the atmosphere was the same. This is a really relaxed and authentic experience which I would highly recommend to anyone who loves flowers and wants to make a career out of them.

I attended the three day career course with Anna and Ellie and had the most wonderful, informative three days. Anna and Ellie's teaching style's are so down to earth and honest, giving you the tips and skills you actually need to start your own career in floristry. After the three days I feel i could go out and take on my own clients! Even if you aren't looking to move into the industry, the course alone is such food for the soul in their absolutely gorgeous studio!

As soon as I entered the Flower Appreciation Society's studio, I felt very welcomed by Anna and Issy. After an inspiring and insightful chat about Anna's journey and an introduction from other attendees, Anna and Issy demonstrated their creative and free flowing style after which we were able to choose from the absolutely stunning array of gorgeous, seasonal flowers and delightful vintage vessels. Their friendly and encouraging manner creates a warm ambiance, complimenting the backdrop of the delightful studio. Anna and Issy demonstrated floral crowns, haircombs, hand tied bouquet, the use of a pin holder, the use of chicken wire in an array of vintage vessels, a large free standing display using a large footed vessel and large installments (arch and hanging plank) free from foam. One of the highlights was a trip to the Convent Garden Flower market and introduction to some friendly traders. The soft, loose, gardeny style is exactly what I was looking for and I would highly recommend the course to anyone who loves flowers and wants to learn how to create beautiful displays in an unfussy, warm environment.

The handtied bouquet workshop at The Flower Appreciation Society was wonderful. We arrived to a large bucket each filled with a range of beautiful flowers and foliage, and a glass of prosecco. We were shown how to condition the flowers, hold the stems to make a bouquet and wrap the final product. The workshop was really relaxed, informative and fun. Such a lovely way to spend a Wednesday evening.

The career course was well worth every penny and the classes covered both the basics, as well as going into details for people considering floristry as their future job. Learned so much from Anna & Ellie and they were so helpful with tips of the trade and offered good creative advice.

I attended the one day flower workshop in June and had a fantastic day. Anna was very knowledgeable and helpful, happy to answer any questions I had. We learned how to create a hand tied bouquet, a table arrangement and also a beautiful hanging arrangement. The selection of flowers were lovely and leaned towards a boho, rustic style. The lunch was also delicious. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to develop floristry skills or looking for a lovely day out. Thank you for having me!

I attended the one day Introduction to Floristry workshop in June. It was an absolutely fantastic day, and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of becoming a florist or someone who just loves flowers! We were met by the super smiley Jess with croissants, juice and coffee - exactly what we needed to kick start the day. The teacher and FAS joint owner, Anna, was brilliant - very knowledgeable, full of tips and very encouraging. She demonstrated everything before we tried it which gave you loads of confidence. We did a hand tied bouquet, low vase arrangement and a group (3 per group) hanging installation to finish off. It was a really good range of things. FAS use a mix of Covent Garden Flower Market flowers and those from their own cutting garden. They are big advocates of British flowers and the flowers we worked with at the workshop reflected that - they were all absolutely beautiful. There was a really good range of flowers and foliage and the style we were all aiming for was that of the FAS - wild, free and rustic, like the flowers have just been gathered from the cutting garden! The FAS Studio is a like a cool creative oasis away from the hustle of the city. It was very calming and peaceful to immerse ourselves in the flowery space. Thank you for having me!
