I have been a customer of Listers Volkswagen Nuneaton for approximately 6 years. The service is excellent. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure that your visit is enjoyable and the outcome is a success. I have bought two cars from this branch over the years and the sales team have assisted me to make my choice and I have been delighted with both cars. My visit yesterday was for the car to have a service. I was kept informed of progress throughout the day and they have gone "that extra mile" to rectify a problem I had with my car. From reception staff to managers, everyone made me feel welcome.

I was very impressed with the service adviser Amy Potts, very nice personality plenty of knowledge and if she did not know the answer she soon found out. She was also very good in following up the status of my car and got back to me when she said she would. I have not been to the dealership for 12 months and the changes which have been done has improved the facility. There seems to be a totally different atmosphere and everyone seems very polite, and the reception is where it should be, front of house and not stuck on the back wall

Very competitive price received, and this was followed up by exceptional service. Even though the whole transaction was done remotely, always felt in close contact with the dealer. Queries were always answered immediately. Delivery to my home was included and the immaculate car turned up on time and looked great. A very smooth and easy car buying process!

Awesome! If you’re looking for a VW and superb customer service and experience then don’t look anywhere else. From my initial enquiry through to collection, Dean Courtman was amazing, I’ve bought a lot of cars but never experienced such a respectful, considerate and empathetic service. Dean thought of everything and made my 220 mile round trip an event I looked forward to. Sadly I’ve experienced bad VW service but it just shows that the franchise is the key not the car brand... The car is great and overall good experience however there were some major failings. For example: -I was told I could pick up the car at 9:30am however I was kept waiting for 4 hours. The car was not ready and I had already sent all the paperwork beforehand. - I was sold a car that has a recall notice on it which according to BBC news VW knew about before selling me the car. Knowing about this before purchasing or even signing for the car would have been appreciated. Also why the problem couldn't be fixed prior to me picking up the car is a mystery. - There was also a lack in communication, as I would email questions in regards to paperwork and receive no reply. Without these failures it would have been a perfect experience. Andy was very helpful and overall I am happy with my decision to use Listers .

Although there is always a professional look of this and other listers showrooms/dealerships, I was quite unimpressed I was charged to have a fuse replaced (for the windscreen washers) when the same had to be done in February earlier that year. Obviously a fault to have needed replacing a second time. How I'm dealt with makes a difference as to whether I return. Happy to go further a field!

Our 2016 Golf TDI blue motion developed a problem with water entering the tailgate after washing the car (water poured from the tailgate light covers when the boot was opened). I am certain this also caused the car to cut out when driven after being washed and activated the autonomous braking without warning at times. Pretty dangerous I would suggest. Either way we both visited Listers on 15/3/19 and found staff totally uninterested. Both Service manager and parts manager sat with us both and listened to the description of fault. They had our address so knew we lived in a small village but then then started suggesting the problem could be caused by mice. They said IF we lived in the middle of a village then this was less likely to be a problem where as if we lived on the edge of the village vermin can nest in the car causing electrical issues. How stupid do they think people are? It was comedy at its best and I’ve never heard such nonsense. They tried suggesting we wiped the sensor at the front of the vehicle every time we took the car out and in particularly if it was misty, cold or wet as this would cure the problem. The whole attitude was one of “I don’t want to deal with this even if it is under warranty”. We ignored the stupid comments and suggested they check the computer for fault codes but more importantly identify how water was getting into the tailgate. Perhaps they thought mice were responsible as well! We left the car with them for x3 days and Quelle surprise when collected my vehicle I was told NO fault codes had shown up at all (likely they cleared any fault codes and then claimed this) and despite the garage extensively water testing the car for hours and hours (the service manager made a point of explaining in great detail how they did this) they had found no leaks at all. This lot seem schooled in flannel and guff hoping the owner will swallow this. Either way I took the car back and the next time I washed the vehicle the same water problem emerged. I videoed the problem and returned with the car on Monday 25/2/19 seeing the same service manager and showed him videos. Amazing result. This service manager / parts manager looked at the back of my car, checked that all etched serial glass numbers were the same (they were all around the vehicle) and then suggested he thought the rear tailgate glass had been removed so bodywork repair could have been done at some point in the past. He said he could only tell once they removed the rear tailgate glass but he was sure this was the problem and how water was getting into the tailgate! Ive never heard so much diatribe in my life. Once bonded glass is removed from a car it can never be put back which is why screens are replaced. You could also never tell after removing the glass if bodywork had been undertaken, so this was just blatant lying. He couldn’t argue with video evidence so after a few curt words by me he arranged for the car to be booked in and said he would fix the problem. This garage seem happy to sell you new cars but when a car under warranty is taken to them they squirm and do everything possible to avoid taking ownership and responsibility. Even lying and claiming no problems were found. It is their jobs to fix issues and not disbelieve customers but like most dealerships its about abdication and flannel and Listers Nuneaton takes the biscuit in this area. I cancelled the booking the following day after taking it to an amazing mechanic friend who identified the issue immediately and fixed the problem within 1 hour and refused payment. Listers Nuneaton had the car for x3 days and denied it had an issue until faced with video evidence. What a pathetic bunch they are.

I do not normally leave a 5 star review after a service event as that is the level of service we should all expect and have delivered. However, in this case I feel the need to as I found that whenever there is an issue with any of our VW vehicles (my son and daughter both have VWs ), Listers have always done their utmost to put it right. It's when things go wrong that you really find out whether you are getting a 5 star service and whenever anything has gone wrong - Listers have always put it right efficiently. Please continue to do as you are doing and thanks to all for your assistance. Its always a pleasure to visit Listers VW Nuneaton.

Donna was friendly and accommodating, and did her best to answer questions and respond to me as quickly as she could. I’d recommend Listers VW Nuneaton to anyone, as they are a great group and take pride in both their place of business and how they conduct that business with their customers. I got a personal message of gratitude from the Sales Manager (Craig) and plenty of follow up calls and emails to make sure everything has been going smoothly.
