What a lovely company.
Right from the beginning of trying to decide what roof rack I should choose, a friendly team of staff were on hand to help me decide. After I had chosen, the delivery was very quick. The overall assembly of my product was quick and easy. And most important, it makes my Land Rover look so much better. Would recommend Direct 4x4 any day, and will be using them again.

i would avoid this company they sell bent steps, they say they are meant to be fitted bent but all their product pics do not reflect this. i am £250 out of pocket for fitting and removal of the steps. all they say is "they are meant to be like that" they are a joke of a company they dont seem to understand that the steps are not bent on product pics but are bent on the car. avoid. they refuse to collect the steps. i have offered a easy solution for me to drive to them so they can remove the steps at their cost but they are unwilling to help in any way and expect me to incur more and more cost for their faulty products. having to claim my money back via my bank. absolutely appalling company.

What an amazing place!
Drove here from Brighton to have my new 'High Flyer' side steps fitted to my Range Rover. Well worth it.
It was one of the best customer service experiences we've ever had. Recommending routes to take into the City while we waited and even giving us directions to our destination for the afternoon.
As for the steps themselves, absolute quality. Look far far better than anything Land Rover can offer, at a fraction of the price.

I ordered some side steps for my audi q7 delivered to my house from direct 4x4 which was the fastest delivery I have ever had they were with me the next day! Really pleased with them the quality is excellent and fitted them myself with the help of the direct 4x4 fitting guide on you tube. They look awesome, really chuffed and the service they gave me was excellent, I asked some questions before I purchased and they answered all my questions immediately. Top company will definitely use them again.

Would give them -5 stars but unfortunately there is no option to give less than 1 star.
Bought some "stainless-steel" sidebars. After only 1,5 years the (stainless steel ???) bars started to dripping a brownish rusty liquid. Contacting Direct4x4, they were happy to tell me that the warranty period had just expired (which is wrong according to EU customer protection law!). They suggested cleaning the bars with a soft cloth, drilling some holes so the rust could drain and this would stop the rusting process (they have NO idea!!).
On their German web-page they indicate that the bars are made of Q235A steel, on their UK web-page they call it "stainless steel" and in an e-mail they told me the bars are made of SUS304 steel…(FYI: the chemical compositions of these 3 types of steel are completely different…)
There is no doubt that Direct4x4 is lying straight into their customers faces. Their products are cheap and rotten, they manufacture in cheap South African factories and have NO control at all about the quality of their products and they do NOT care about customer satisfaction.
My recommendation: stay away from this company!

Superb product, (premier side step) superb price. Great people, great site. A pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Very highly recommended! My son has mild cerebral palsy which affects his lower limbs so the step I had fitted will enable him to enter and exit the vehicle far easier and for every one else the fact that it looks amazing is an added bonus. Awesome service from start to finish from Direct 4x4. Having been quoted £1300 from Audi I thought i'd have to do without side steps, but thankfully I found Direct 4x4 via eBay and even better that it was a 1/4 of the Audi cost. Fitting was perfect and a great price too, so really happy all round with the service and cost. My Q5 really stands out now, so I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to add side steps to their car.

Super happy with the service I recieved from Direct 4x4. I came from Wolverhampton with my Peugeot 3008, which was about an hour 20 min drive, without knowing exactly which side step I was going to choose. I had reserved both the "High Flyer" and the "Suburban" side steps. After seeing them both in the showroom I decided that the Suburban fit the look of my car better.
Came back roughly 2 hours later (although it was ready sooner, but I was visiting family in Derby) and couldn't be happier with their work. I've shared some pictures below. I'm a heavy guy but the steps are good quality, solid and don't budge when stepping on. It's also made my car look sportier.

Brought Side Steps and Mud Flaps from Direct 4x4 for my Discovery 5, Had them fitted last week, can not praise this company enough, the quality and finish is fantastic. Well over a £1000.00 cheaper than the Land Rover ones and look and feel the same. They got me in quickly for fitting, Tea and Coffee on hand while l waited. A great company and l wish them all the best for the future.

Made a 140 mile round trip to have some side steps fitted to my car. When i arrived I was very impressed with the staff and show room.
As I handed over my car keys for work to be done I pointed out that my interior was clean and made sure that they would keep it that way. I was assured that it would be looked after. Fitting time was estimated at one and a half hours. This was spot on car looked great with new side steps but was I surprised when I opened the door my cream doors panels handles and steering wheel were covered in dirty finger prints. What a shame that they could not just clean up would have taken 2 minutes. I would have given 5 star's if this had been done.

Quick tracked delivery. You do need to download instructions from 4 x 4 website and watch installation video also as there are no installation instructions supplied with the side bars. Installation was not difficult IF you studied the video/instructions carefully. Take your time aligning the side bars before fully tightening and you'll be fine. Good quality at a fair price. Recommend.

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
Having purchased around £240 of items for a Range Rover Sport, I was unfortunately unable to fit them to the car for over a year. When we eventually were able to fit them, every time is either such a bad fit that it could not be fitted without stressing the item to make it fit, or have been manufactured without some of the catches, so the item will not click into place, like the item being replaced, so will not stay in place. None of the items that we tried to install are fit for purpose.
Having approached Direct 4x4, they simply said that because the warranty period and the age of the purchase, they are just not interested. They have made no attempt to explain the situation, or offer an exchange of the items that simply do not fit the car or even off a % of the value of the order. I know that this is a very old order for them, I get it, but the items do not do fit the car and as such are and were always hopeless.
My advise would be, look elsewhere.

After much looking around a roofracks I decided to order a Titan rack and have to say that the next day delivery was very good as was the whole ordering process. I am very happy with the quality of the rack and the fittings. The only reason that this is not a 5 star review is that all of the threads were full of powder coating and all had to be tapped out before a bolt could be threaded in, the instructions must have been badly translated into english and the list of contents was not even close to what I got. But a tap and die set and some common sense now has me a nice roof rack at a very reasonable price.

Brilliant customer service. Bought a parcel shelf for a Santa Fe. It was delivered very quickly to our safe place as requested. Good quality and a good price but unfortunately not designed for my version of the car. I phoned them and Hannah was very helpful. She asked for photos to be emailed. They saw what the problem was but they didn't stock the cover I needed so they refunded our money straight away and didn't ask for us to return the one they sent. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Started off so well, then I paid!
3 moth later... I have seen your response... what a joke, in the end you gave me a full refund as the bonnet did not fit... now this sound OK, you refunded me in full but you only done this because you already knew it was not going to fit as it was faulty and you already knew it... that's why you didnt even want it back and asked me to bin it for you... and I was not the first person you sold this to as you manager has had this issue with the bonnet b4 +++ you said it was a carbon bonnet, lies!! it was fiber glass with a fake carbon layer on top... rip off con man business!!

So |I thought I would check first on the phone before ordering on line, the lady on the phone was extremely helpful and had a wide product knowledge of the part and the vehicle, although there are similar competitors on line to buy from Direct 4x4 were (ARE) the solution, The product was ordered on line, it arrived safe and sound nicely packed by TNT, at a fair price, now fitted I'm very happy, thanks to the service from 4x4 Direct. Shame I had a wasted trip from Birmingham to Derby and back - Vehicle booked in days before arrival - I was held up in traffic and arrived 20 mins late at 9.20am. Car was inspected for damage because the company seems to think i am going to try and scam them for damage after fitting. Which was wierd.. A full payment was then taken. And the car was taken to a remote workshop.I was then told the fitters had started on another vehicle and I could have a possible wait until 5.00 pm that day.
Would like the company boss to sit in the showroom for about 8 hrs (which is freezing by the way) and then see why I left without having the side steps fitted. Poor customer service... I was waiting on site in person but Direct 4 x 4 could only offer a possible 8hr wait. Seems the fitters rule the roost. But they obviously didn't need a £300 plus order.

Fitted using the built clamps provided although they come with the drill fittings too.
Fitted in five minutes and have been invaluable and look great.
Based on the mileage we do they pay for themselves in around 3 months in reduced drag and increased fuel consumption.

Direct 4 x4 is the perfect place to buy the perfect product for your vehicle. I was lucky enough to go and spend a couple of hours in the showroom whilst my vehicle was in their workshop having my purchase fantastically fitted.
I was both amazed and excited with the quantity and quality of specialist expedition tents and awnings etc, along with many many custom and specialist bolt-ons for all kinds of vehicles.
The dedication and product knowledge shown by the team members at Direct 4 x 4 was very impressive along with the stock holding to back up the very competitive prices charged for top quality service and products.
Prior to my visit to Direct 4x4 I had engaged in a couple of phone calls and some emails, all the way through any communications with the team I received total satisfaction from their knowledge, help and professionalism from start to fitted!
I will and have fully recommended Direct 4x4 to anyone I know as I see no reason to shop around only to be sold inferior quality products without the backup of the knowledgebase at Direct 4x4.

Having purchased some side steps for my Audi Q7 I booked the car in for 4x4 to install. I was told the service was 60 minutes over the phone and booked the time off accordingly. After arriving the lady who greeted us was very polite and confirmed the service was only 1 hour and we were shown the waiting area. After an hour I went to see if the car was nearly ready I was then told they are having problems as the car is a new model being an Etron and the step system will not be compatable. I was perplexed why this took them an Hour to figure this out and then a further 50mins to reassemble.
I know sometimes things go wrong but the communication was poor.
They have offered to have the car back in and install the steps for free as it turns out they haven’t installed a Q7 Etron before and they would like to use it as a gunia pig.
They have credit back a full refund and I would just warn customers to be 100% sure they have worked on the car they are booking in before.
My car is booked in with Audi to check the undercarriage for them to install the side steps.

Ordered a set of Side Steps for a Hyundai Santa Fe 2016. The kit arrived with no instructions or check list. The contents were later checked against the Emailed check list and two centre brackets were missing. After several phone calls it was decided the vehicle did not require the centre brackets.
The rear brackets did not fit and the company were very unhelpfull. Ended up having new rear brackets made and fitted at a cost of £160.00.Dont order this kit.
