Tesco Brixton is located next to town hall and this particular superstore is small compared to others. The store serves fresh flowers and fresh bakers in the store. The store is Less busy at weekdays and afternoons. This is my Frist visit to the shop , they have ample parking near the shop and you are allowed to park 1.5hrs for free. I was directed to do checkout however the staffs were busy in talking about home mortgage rather serving customer, which was very disappointing. Other than that it was smooth purchase.

Doors were open and people were shopping. I spend 10 minutes getting my groceries and then go to check out, except I can't. There were at least 4 or 5 members of staff sitting around not doing anything but they said the checkout wouldn't open for another 20 minutes (at 11am). I understand that it's a Sunday, but if you're not going to let people check out until 11am, don't open your doors and let people waste their time. Who in their right mind would stand around waiting for another 20 minutes when there are several other stores near by which would provide you with the ability to pay when their doors were open?

Don't buy anything witch has tesco club price. I refuse even if I want it I go to lidl. Also no one on tills until ten o'clock saving money by not paying staff to start early and letting managers and junior managers stack selves. Also papers out late because the would have to pay someone minimum wage. Poor show.

I write this review because I've just remembered how angry I am! Let me preface this by saying I'm a mover *and* a shaker; I love supermarkets, and I love you. However, My experience at this tesci was one of great confusion and it upset me. It was a midday, and I had taken my lunch break. Now picture this. I go to pay for my shop and there are three tills open, but the queues were longer than three pieces of string! Not happy tedco, not happy!

Shelves are not stocked fully, making it a dissapointing experience. As most of my shopping stuff are not stocked.

This a fantastic supermarket. It's always stocked fully with a large range of items. You can get practically anything here, and at decent prices. An observation: there always seems to be a drama whenever I visit the store - these are not necessarily negative. One time, some kids walked the aisles smoking weed, which stank out the entire store, lots of people were laughing at the absurdity of it all. Some of the workers there are real characters. One small area for improvement, I wish the security guards would come down harder on those who refuse to wear masks (or refuse to wear them properly). Two thumbs up.

Good supermarket, however staff not knowledgeable about Tesco app. I asked a question and cashiers response was 'I don't know' with attitude and impatience. If he was knowledgeable it wouldn't have taken long to find the barcode to scan so I could get my points. Train staff better on app and customer service.

Great big Tesco, great for all food. Only criticism is not enough chilled alcohol at all. Also the section they do have was not cold enough at all when I went to buy it! But otherwise a good Tesco for food

Why does Tesco even sell Garlic from China? Given China's terrible human rights abuses

Joke of a store. Staff are always chatting at the entrance and not guiding people in during lockdown. Ques are always ridiculously long and only half the tills are open. Dispite a really good queuing system that was implemented during the first lockdown they have now disregarded it and they place is chaos.

Can get very busy. Even in Covid times.

Huge Tesco with plenty of parking and a bus stop conveniently just outside. This supermarket has some really good prices and "specials" but you will have to pick and choose as you might not find all the brands that you want or need, but with careful selection you can save a lot here. Plenty of tills so the lines to pay are not too bad.

Good medium sized supermarket. You can expect to get most Tesco supplies there.

A really big, local store. Has anything you need, follow Covid-19 regulations and give hand sanitiser as you walk in!

Half of staff and most customers not wearing face masks. Since staff with masks not wearing these over the nose. Very poor management and a definite health risk and potential pool for spreading Covid. Tesco, get your act together, for now we won't come back

We love this Tesco! It’s big and well stocked and clean and the employees are always fab. Easy to find a sale (especially produce, those sprouts!). Can’t beat it. #Tesco4Life

Enjoy the long queues. Checkout facilities are really bad with only six self-service tills (which often aren’t all working) - so avoid shopping here during the after-work evening rush.

Most staff are helpful and always happy but some moody ones definitely let this place down. Also not their fault but the selection is pretty basic, considering the size, you kind of expect more

Good range of products for the size of the store but the till staff can be rude. No conversation and not saying the price of the total bill when all items are scanned through. Could be a Brixton thing as many shopping experiences I have had round Brixton are the same. I think its rude and what if I was unable to read the screen for whatever reason.

Good Tesco, car park too. Customer service is good. Not what I'd call a superstore as no clothing section or homewares

I like this particular tesco it has a good range of food it doesn't sale clothes like the really big tescos but it has everything you need from Asian to carribean foods and at good prices for drivers you have free parking up to 1.5hrs which is more than enough time the staff are helpful and although the queues can be long you get seen relatively quickly one of the best tescos

Today, Monday around 12.30 totally mayhen with 2 tils just shutting on a queue of around 20. No manager running the store and no offer of staff to help or care. All customers whinging and rightly so. In end I dumped my trolley and took my £100 shop to lidl. Far nicer service and superior ranges and cheaper prices. Saved around £30

I really like this store! The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a decent car park and cash points are located just by the main entrance. I specifically come out of my way to shop at this branch because they stick a greater variety of items. Been coming here for years and the standards have not slipped. Child friendly too and you can grab a trolley without having to pay a pound which is helpful.

Easy shop, plenty of tills to be served. Great variety of everything. It also has a big car park for everyone. Also has Bank arms outside to use. Plenty of trolleys and baskets. It also has a small bakery section for bread, cakes etc. It also has a toilet if in there doing a big shop, which is handy. Overall a a good store to shop

went to Tesco acre lane. don't live in the area. what a horrible disgusting shop. ques for tills stretched for miles in the shop. no staff to help you if you could not find what you were looking for..self service the same. ques were so long. customers got fed up and left full trolleys of goods and walked out. customers kept asking for more tills to be opened. left shop because no tills were opened. could not believe what I was seeing. 5 tills opened on a Saturday afternoon in a large Tesco shop . I waited for about 45minutes before I was served.

Sometimes I walk around the aisles playing acoustic rock and roll guitar. I wish they'd let me plug in my electric, so I could rock the joint. I'd melt the butter with my sweet sweet tunes. The stuff I play on the acoustic is so mellow it makes the flowers wilt. Shame, because the mellow stuff has its own merits. You can't dance to it though, and I'm a boogie kinda guy.

Not a pleasant place to shop. The staff are polite and helpful but fat ignorant people - women mainly but not exclusively - extended my shopping time by over 1/2 hour. Good range of stock and shelves topped up regularly.

Absolutely awful store. 4 manned and self service check out open today (28/2). Long queues. Management noticeably absent. Self service checkout not working properly! Needed at least 6 interventions from harrassed staff member for £16 of purchases! If Tesco wasn't ubiquitous it would go out of businsss.

This branch has a decent selection of food stuffs and other household products for a shop of this size however the 'fresh' food available here is often on the verge of going off by the time it is put on display. The selection of books, DVDs, stationery etc leaves something to be desired and there are only socks and tights by way of clothes but then this is a small shop. The shop does stock bedlinen, pillows and other standard items fit for a student-like lifestyle. With six self check-outs and several tills there aren't often very long queues (except at the busiest of times and on holidays). Everything is easy to find and the staff are polite and helpful when approached and unintrusive otherwise.

Security are a disgrace and should be fired. Acting like they own the store. Why can’t the manager put them in their place or as stated preferably fire them. Along with a bunch of other staff including Florence who struts around with a foul attitude as does the woman with dreadlocks giving me dirty looks through her glasses. Sad they have nothing better to do than give white women filthy looks and uncalled for bad treatment
