I had a great experience today. I came in to get a link taken out of the strap of my Montblanc watch it was very quick to do and everyone was really friendly. I was allowed to bring my dog in as well, although she is small and easy to carry, I would say very dog friendly! Thank you to the Montblanc team in Bond Street!

Part of luxury shopping is the attention to details that you get from the staff to ensure that your experience at the boutique is extraordinary and that you leave the store with an incandescent glow from having purchased that special item. I have heard of this kind of shopping experience before but I never got to truly experience until my husband and I decided to go to this Montblanc boutique on Bond Street.
Staff here are excellent, polite, and courteous and believe me, I've been to many luxury boutiques and this one, so far, is the one to beat.
Upon entering, we were greeted by Salman. I have been wanting to own a Montblanc fountain pen for sometime now and prior to this visit, I only have a vintage Montblanc meisterstruck from the 80s, which isn't terrible but I wanted to see what the store had to offer. I have only been exposed to Japanese fountain pens until this visit so I walked in with a blank canvas though I was aware of their many special collections. Salman basically gave my husband and I the VIP tour and it was amazing!!! I originally thought I was going to get the a pen with Le Petit Prince...resin barrel and all. Salman not only had me try the different non-fountain pen range, but he made sure we find the perfect fountain pen nib that would best suit the size of my hand and how I write. I told Salman that we were celebrating our honeymoon and so he got us a bottle of champagne to celebrate as we tried on all the different nibs that Montblanc had to offer. Upon Salman retrieving the champagne glasses, he happened to see something that he knew would interest me. DUN DUN DUN, the limited edition 1901 Walt Disney Fountain pen. I'm a BIG Disney fan so...the story practically ends here. Not only that, he gave us two inks and a Walt Disney notebook ON THE HOUSE. It was fabulous. Salman was amazing throughout this experience and this Montblanc visit was one of the best luxury shopping experience thus far. Thank you Salman for such a great walk-through, and an amazing pen shopping experience!!!! FYI, this boutique is the biggest one in the UK. If you're a serious pen aficionado and you want to try a Montblanc fountain pen, you cannot go wrong with this store. I plan on visiting again whenever I'm in London. Cheers!

Whilst not disagreeing with how friendly the staff are, my experience of Mont Blanc quality control on their repairs is terrible. Having taken a small timepiece in for a new battery after only a year or so, I was told that I had to have it cleaned (£100). It was returned to me with one hand loose. Second time it was returned, the alarm goes off within 4 hours of the alarm time set. Distressed customer.

A truly devastating experience.
Day 1: Rocked up, kit ready to go and was met by a very rude mountaineer who refused to tell us where the "yeti viewing point" was located. Mrs was appalled and twatted him, kids started crying and my nan started tobogganing down the high street, waste of time.

Great selection of standard and limited editions of pens and cufflinks in a luxurious shopping street. Ask for the story behind each pen before you buy it, each has an interesting one to tell. Pricing is the same across all Montblanc stores including those in Harrods and Selfridges. Few rare edition pens have prices equaling down payments on a car, cruise trip, insurance on life, divorce settlement, etc.

Wow - really impressed by how nice and helpful they were here, quite different from what I expected (from what is now such a big brand). The store still manages to retain a very personal service. The guy there had a look at a sticking mechanism on my rollerball, and after sorting/cleaning put a refill in for free! I was genuinely aghast at how this was handled! Please Mr Montblanc, know that this sort of freebie type assistance is worth its weight in gold for brand reputation. Keep up the good work. JH
