The online Knife Skills course was something to look forward to whilst self-isolating, and I was not disappointed. I learnt a lot, and have been putting my new skills to good use. My onions have never been as finely chopped!

I love this kitchen shop: you find quality dishes, beautiful plates and cooking furnitures. Also the staff is really knowledgeable, likeable. This is a great asset for the shop to have such team.
I would say this is place I like to spend some time to pick ideas up for the family.

Great experience overall:
+ documentation sent in advance for preparing ingredients, etc
+ upbeat overall tone
- ridiculous amount of glaring from lighting
- sound of staff helping the Chef was hard to understand at times
• assuming they have been doing this online classes for a while, it would be smart to invest in filming/lighting/sound equipment to make it a bit more professional

Spent a rainy Monday evening here to do a knife course. The guys were both engaging, knowledgeable and clearly enthusiastic about their roles. Whilst the 2.5 hours wasn't at all aimed at making any sales, we ended up going home with a beautifully sharp knife - as well as some delicious mezze and a bunch of knife techniques we'll make habit of for a lifetime of efficient cooking. Thanks!

Very nice kitchen. Did the jams and chutneys class with my partner. It was good fun and I liked the recipes. A bit on the pricey side thought. That's the only reason why I probably won't book another class in a while.

This was a great class! John was a great teacher and answered any questions we had. We made three different types of dumplings and had loads of fillings and dough to take home.
I was a bit worried I'd find a three hour class after work difficult but the time went really quickly.
Overall I would highly recommend this class. It isn't the cheapest but overall it's well worth the money.

I did the pasta making class and it was fantastic! Well paced, good size group and highly informative whilst also being entertaining (and tasty!). The foundational instruction was thorough and clearly demonstrated - once we had the basics in the bag we could then get creative with our lasagne and tortellini. I've since bought myself a pasta roller and am loving it. Highly recommended as a great gift or as an upskilling opportunity for enthusiastic home cooks.

These courses are fantastic. I’ve just completed the gluten free baking course and I now understand how to create my own baking flour and gluten free recipes. Gluten free goodies have just became delicious. Our teacher was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so many baking tips. Looking forward to another session.

I attended the Chinese Dumpling and Bao class in Hampstead and it was amazing! A really intimate class of 9 we got to know each other well and small numbers meant it was so easy to hear what the chef was saying and see demonstrations. A great balance of being shown, very hands on and general conversation. My dumplings weren’t the prettiest but they tasted amazing and the bao I will be making for the rest of time! Ingredients used that you have in your house or can easily get from a Chinese supermarket. Beautifully run I can’t wait to try other classes!

I was lucky enough to get a place on the knife skills class and what an absolute treat it was.
We were taught so much more than how to use our knives.
This class is a must- even for an experienced cook. We were given a wealth of knowledge by a professional who surely knows her onions - and how to cut them!
This was not only informative but enjoyable.

Excellent way to spend an evening! Carla was a great teacher! She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and easy to understand. She really focused on techniques and offered many flexible options to different ways we could use our new knowledge. I will definitely be going back. Also, Adam was really great at keeping us organised, while allowing us to ask a few questions if Carla was working with the others on our group. Great Great time. You must try this!

I've been incredibly impressed with Hampstead Borough Kitchen. Their wealth of knowledge has been exceptional as has their customer service. We have a wedding list with them and the level of attention has been second to none compared to other wedding list providers. We've also attended one of their classes, which was great too. I'd 100% recommend them to anyone that's looking for a wedding list or some cookery classes. Thanks guys!

A great way to spend a nice evening, have some great food and learn new skills.
I have done two cooking classes and really enjoyed both. I first did the seafood class which had amazingly delicious recipes and where I learned many tips on how to prepare and choose fish and seafood. I loved the variety of the meals and ingredients, from warm salads mussels and to ceviche and baked fish.
I also just tried the Healthy Cooking class which had less food preparation i.e it was more about chopping vegetables but the final result was a good range of delicious and healthy recipes the sort of which I am sure I will be making all the time at home.
Really happy with both experiences.

She is not only passionate about cooking, but about improving the world we live in by giving people the knowledge and tools to make better, healthier, more affordable choices for themselves and their families. I really appreciated that and enjoyed the class very much. The food we made was also delicious, so it was really wonderful evening all around.

I went to the pasta making class run by Carla, and it was brilliant. She is a very friendly, eloquent and passionate foodie, full of knowledge of the chemistry of cooking. I loved her emphasis on teaching cooking techniques rather than recipes to give her students the skills to play around at home - exactly the type of thing that makes cooking such a creative and fun past time. A wonderful class and highly recommended.

Great course. Carla is lovely and very knowledgeable. I am totally convinced it has to be pure luck to get them right at home without any course - so many things that can go wrong. Our creations, thanks to Carla's watchfull eye and brilliant tips were great. Certainly will try making them again at home. One thing I would change is I would like to learn how to make a more versatile filling than lemon curd, for example a white chocolate ganache.

Went to the pasta making class at the Hampstead location and it was fantastic! We learnt how to make a vegetable lasagne (with lashings of three types of cheese!) and ravioli stuffed with goats cheese and butternut squash. I came away feeling like I really knew how to make many different types of pasta from scratch and gained a great understanding of the ingredients and how they work together. Would 100% recommend, thank you!

I recently did one of the cooking workshops at Borough Kitchen in Hampstead and it was a lovely introductiion to making yeasted breads, we learned a lot and enjoyed eating it at the end! Ibolya was very organised which helped us cover a lot in one evening. Highly recommended!

I took the sushi course at the Hampstead branch of Borough Kitchen and it was great. Fun and relaxed but very informative. Our chef/tutor Silla was lovely and a great teacher, taking us through the basics of sushi rice prep before moving on to maki rolls, nigiri and inside-out rolls with tuna and salmon. I came away completely confident about making my own sushi at home, and with enough of my own handmade sushi to feed about three or four people. Highly recommended.

Borough Kitchen Hampstead is just down the road from us and has become our go-to place for all things kitchen and entertaining related. The team are the friendliest and most knowledgeable of any cooking store we've come across (in the US AND the UK), and every experience has been delightful. We registered with them for our wedding gift registry and their online platform was so easy to use, and team so helpful, that these are the first gifts we picked up when we returned from our honeymoon! We also joined a fish cooking class with Iby and not only learned quite a lot (fileting a seabass, how to handle mussels and how to clean a scallop fresh from the shell), but had fun in the process.
