Amazing new community, with lots of potential for future growth. It has a primary schools, accessible via bus service, and very close to Milton Keynes central train station. It takes only 30 minutes to get to London Euston. Locality is beautiful, wide roads, very clean atmosphere and lovely views.

To anyone looking to buy a Cala home in Whitehouse. Please consider the following: 1. Get a snagging survey done by a third party and tell Cala to fix any issues before you exchange contracts. Once you’re in and find issues later then be prepared to get on the wait list for your emails to be responded to. 2. Have a look around the roads where you are buying (during workdays and weekends). Cala’s construction has been going on for 3 years and the whole area looks like a mess. I wonder what is the point of building new houses and then ruining the site for years with lorries and trucks passing through the same roads and spreading mud & rubble from the building site – surely they can plan a better route for delivery and construction trucks that doesn’t impact their existing customer’s properties. 3. Lorries often drive over kerbs and grass verges and damage these (as these aren’t really meant for 30 tonne lorries) and rarely follow the 10mph local speed limit for construction traffic. 4. Expect an occasional puncture from the roads being full of dirt and building rubble in some areas. 5. There are houses that have unsightly trailers, abandoned vans in bays and general building material (junk) in their driveways. The deeds have restrictive covenants saying residents shouldn’t have these in their drives or in the visitor bays but Cala don’t really impose the rules. If you are buying a house with a shared drive and if trailers and junk left next to you bothers you then make sure you clarify that with Cala or check whose living next door before choosing your plot.

Shame that the service and build from Cala doesn’t match the design. Can’t fault the design but execution is seriously lacking and unfortunately senior management don’t seem to care either. If you’re thinking about purchasing a Cala home seriously don’t be pressured into completing on their timetable. MAKE sure you get to check the property before and insist that and snags are dealt with before completion. Ideally get a professional snagging company to do this it will be worth the investment and the slight delay. Alternatively you will likely find yourselves like us and many of our neighbours, nearly one year in with loads of snagging outstanding. Also be prepared to waste a years annual leave waiting in for people that don’t show up to complete these fixes.

Their builders are awful, dangerous drivers on local roads, don't consider that they are driving large construction vehicles and shouldn't drive fast with heavy building materials in built up areas. No consideration for other people living there and very unsafe. On one occasion one of their construction vehicles dropped a few cement bags and gravel on the road because it was being driven too fast and rather than cleaning it, the guy just kicked the loose materials around and spread it all over the road. Also their site managers never available to complain to.
