Great location and free parking, but OMG poor , very poor customer service. You are better off shopping in a bigger branch like Bell Green (Lewisham) or Smugglers way ( Wandsworth).

purchased a fire alarm, didn't even open it... when returning the lady who was 'supervisor' ripped open the sealed packaging to inspect (which felt very humiliating) blamed me for stealing the batteries (which were inside the product already), she then asked me to go to the shelf and get another one to prove it. After standing my ground and after getting a colleague to show a like for like, no apology was given for showing me up in front of a queue of people - bad customer service, local business i will not return!

A handy store which is a credit to the area. Not the biggest if you are looking for some items often stocked in the larger stores but good nevertheless. Some assistants on check out can be rather slow but generally helpful staff and a good helpful manager (guy in glasses).

Bought an item online to collect in store, they gave the wrong item (it seemed the same when I checked in store) but when I got home it was a different product. Had to go back to the store again and the staff even didn’t apologise for that, the girl at the till kept me waiting while having a chat with other customer. Rude.

Went into the West Norwood B&Q store at 7:52 to get some paint mixed and asked if I could leave the blind that I wanted to mix behind the desk, the gentleman behind the mixing desk stayed late to mix it for me and did a fantastic job.
Friendly staff, highly reccomend this branch.

I ordered a kitchen cabinet door which had to be delivered as you can't get them in store. Unfortunately, their packaging is totally inadequate. After the first one, then the replacement arrived damaged, I impressed the importance of proper protection. The third one, packed exactly the same, just arrived...you guessed it, damaged yet AGAIN!!

Not even to stop people walking behind the lorry !!
Driver beware.
To top it off there is a low bridge on way in and then 1 up the top end with no signs !!!

I came here once with a friend to pick up some tiles and aside from the fact that pretty much every packet of tiles was cracked, it was everything I'd expect from a B&Q store in this area. Attitude-laden "staff" with about as much DIY knowledge as my dog, counting down the minutes until they can go home. Avoid and go to a store in a nice area.

Went to B&Q West Norwood branch and was served by the Showroom Advisor, Caprice Duberry who is so helpful, patience, profesional and really made me feel at ease talking to her. She isn't pushy or demanded that I stick to her design but instead let me have my option to change to my choice if the space allowed. No doubt to say I went home and proudly showed my husband the great and stylish kitchen design and we are happy with the service provided. Will be going with my installer next week to finalise the kitchen plan.
Well done B&Q West Norwood for having such an excellent staff, Caprice Duberry . She really deserve a pat on the shoulder for providing great customer service.
