I had the loveliest experience at this shop!
The people are so nice. Chris helped fix my chair and didn't even charge me he just fixed it! It's definetly worth a 5 start review because you don't find professional people like that everywhere!

Knowledgeable staff and very clean shop.
those guys will ask you what you are looking for , direct you to the right place , ask if you have all the tools needed ;and show them to you. My experience from the shop is and will be remembered. I also got few items 10% cheaper because I was "polite"

Good selection of stuff but the Male staff are super condescending to Women. Had one guy say " you're not made for this are you love" when I was looking at paint scrapers. Then heard another say to another woman "you should get your husband or a workman to do this". Just fyi grouting, scraping paint and putting sealant on isn't even difficult, and not only men can do it.

This shop has been a lifesaver in lockdown.
Staff always helpful with good advice.
Everything is well laid out and neat.
I would rather shop here than going to a B&Q where you can never find anyone to help you and stock not replaced.
We need more shops like Leyland SDM in high streets.

Local branch of the national builders' merchant chain. Not the cheapest, but it stocks a very broad selection of tools and building supplies. Perfect for lockdown DIY activities.
All the staff is helpful, some more knowledgeable than others.

They might have the "right thing" but you have to ask for the price

I was looking for unusual screws. I didn't found my 1st choice but did get a substitute that allowed me to finish my job.
Sometimes it's difficult to explain what I need for my job, I like the traditional little shop format but sometimes i prefer the shelves exposed where I can see what's there and if needed I can re-organise my plans
