Really good fish and chips! Fresh and very tasty. If there was a pattern on the plate from my cod and chips was served, I would have taken that off!! Hats off to the Otello restaurant that recommended us to go to Bankers Express! We will be back!

Order a medium cod and chips for £7, get a (very) small anchovy with a few soggy chips in return.
Used to be good, now they take every chance to rip you off. Avoid.

Excellent little fish and chip shop, and really needed in this area due to lack of competition. They do cod with breadcrumb if you don’t like batter and which I prefer, and it’s reasonably priced for decent sized portions. Also do a loyalty card which is the only chippy I know that does this

Hmm a bit disappointing. I'd heard good things about this chippy but the couple of times I've had food from here have not been great. Had battered fish that was overdone to the point of the batter tasting burned. The chips were fine but nothing to write home about. Was excited to see they have homemade coleslaw but it was extremely thickly cut so I was basically chomping my way through a load of chunks of mayonnaisey cabbage. I think I'll go elsewhere next time.

Can only give 2 stars as the food was pretty standard and disapointing really considerng the Bankers reputation. Cod was tasteless and watery inside the batter plus chips cooked too crisp so no fluffy potato inside just fat. In my opinion Fillets Chippy on Lewes Road stil cannot be beaten.

Excellent fish and chips. What I liked was my cod was cooked in a decent breadcrumb batter and was not the bland standard fatty batter of the average chippy.

I had huss & chips, my other half cod & chips. The huss was burnt & very dry, my cats did not want it either! The chips & cod were OK. But very disappointed & it wasn't cheap!
