Nice Waitrose. Has a free car park for 2 hours along with a coffee area. In store bakery and separate deli counters. Modern scanning tills and you can use the mobile app if you have a waitrose card.

Really helpful staff. Excellent selection of fresh meat and fish. The staff know about the food they are selling. You can also stop in the cafè and eat one of their delicious pastries.

As others have said the majority of floor staff are indifferent and you don’t get the level of service expected compared to other Waitrose chains. Also they close up their meat and fish counters almost 2 hours before closing.

very poor signage from the car park to lifts and actual store - incl. instructions to pay for parking. Store is large but gave an impression of half-managed, as it wasn't actually fully functional yet. There were even heaps of refuse and packaging scattered around to season the untidiness

I don’t know why but I’ve been to quite a few Waitroses and my observation is that most of their staff are quite indifferent, react slowly, and don’t bother to move their lips upward when you say “excuse me” with a smile. So what exactly do we pay the premium for? Does John Lewis pay that bad?
