Staff could be very aggressive. Especially one of the security guards every time I visit the shop follows me like a hound that hunts down a fox. The staff are snobbish- possibly overworked?! I complained to a lady manager; she basically said " it's a free country; shop somewhere else". I tried their Complaints officer but they didn't get back to me. Horrible experience every time I visit- today the security guard pushed a trolley against me to let me know he was watching me. I feel sorry for the fox!

From the outside it looks less impressive than the adjacent Tesco Express.
Doesn't have the most comprehensive selection, which is disappointing in a Waitrose, but what there is nice enough. I found the selection better than in the next door Tesco Express.

Cashiers are so nice specially an girl called Natasha (she is . Always smiling and offering the best offers. Absolutly is my favourite supermarket over London. You can find good people, offers and nice enviroment in just one place!

Good medium-sized store with free coffee machine for waitrose loyalty card members. At lunchtime the checkout queues are huge and take ages so go early around 12.

Management a bit of a puzzle items usually in stock are taken off for reasons no one can explain. Apparently they stock what is supplied, have no say over what is/isn't delivered to store. Staff vary, some aggressively dismissive - seem to believe they are doing you a favour

Been in London - and the UK for that matter - for all of two weeks. Have gone to my local Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose (though haven't yet been to the Barbican store others have mentioned). Have mostly been able to find what I need and there is enough variety - including a butcher - that one doesn't become bored or needing to necessarily compromise. Queues really aren't that bad - even during busy times and the staff are quite friendly.
