Smashed down a couple of cooked breakfasts (one veggie!) and the waitress kindly offered to swap the tomato for an extra hash brown! Food all good quality and reasonably priced. Would love to go back to try one of their many, tasty looking sandwiches...

A local delight. Warm, friendly people, a bright and sunny atmosphere and great food! Generous portions and move smoothies for the angelic. The Red roaster locally-roasted coffee is also a highlight. Occupies a kind of diner parallel universe, the kind of place you don't want to leave. The kind of place that leaves you humming classic hits and smiling.

Absolutely delicious! We had an English breakfast, the best in town so far. Scrambled eggs and tomatoes were really special, usually I am wary of it, but it was above any expectations!! Friendly staff, lovely Sabrina and Chef Mariano :) Highly recommended!

A small, cozy dine-in and take-away. I really enjoyed the sardine on rustic toast special. The balsamic sauce was very nice. Prices are on the cheaper end of the scale in my short experience in the UK.

Absolutely fantastic food,a warn & welcoming atmosphere the food is par excellencé,the staff are always welcoming & curtious.
Today I tried eating,Avacado chicken & bacon salad unfortunately I had to leave as I walked back into Cafe & was about to leave my dinner one of the staff with a smile asked me," would I like a box to take my meal away"& gave me a box & bag.
If you like healthy food with an easy to read menu,Richards is for you.

Can I give 10 out of 5? This is my local cafe and I go nearly every day, or at least I did before the lockdown and have now been shielding. This place is fantastic, the food is by far the best breakfast in Hove and the staff always very friendly and helpful. Richard is very selective about his staff and those that are not up to the mark don't last very long. He has a reputation to maintain and has always done this in the 6 or 7 years that I've been using Richards. I can't speak highly enough of Richard the staff or the cafe. This should be a model for every establishment

Normally very good , but on this occasion couldn't cope with large amount of customers. Very slow service. Wrong orders, social distancing broke down. It became very manic. Apologetic but should have shut the doors and regrouped.

Worst deliveroo I've ever ordered. Fryups looked like sick all mashed and mangled in the boxes. No teas that we ordered. My milkshake had completely leaked everywhere all over the boxes so there was none left. One of us didn't get toast and the beans were stone cold. Worst hangover breakfast ever just made me feel sick .

I love this place! Here I always have my best breakfast! The food is really good. Big selection on sandwiches, baguettes, English breakfast,salmon toast...etc...The coffee is great too,capuchino my favourite and my daughter loves the chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Quiet place but very busy, mostly in the morning and lunch. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Very good place,really nice breakfast (especially for the price). Only thing I will say is that it's very small, and can be crowded when busy. But that's an issue out of their control, and the staff are so friendly that it becomes a very minor concern. All round good place, would highly recommend if you're around that area and need a good slap-up breakfast.
