I've lived in Brighton and worked in the town centre for nearly 20 years, and this place is by far, hands down, the best sandwich shop i've ever eaten at. They make fantastic sausage rolls with crazy variety of flavours, but in my opinion their grilled sandwiches are the highlight! They are truly exceptional, VERY generous portion sizes, very fresh ingredients, bursting with flavour. They look and taste as if NO corners were cut, and they literally jam pack those things with as much goodness as they can pack in haha. Excellent value for money and outstanding quality. My personal favourites are the philly cheese steak, madame croque and full English. But to be honest they are all great. No I don't work for them, no I don't get special discounts, no this isn't sponsored. They really are just that awesome!!

I wanted a quick snack on the go and just something to feel ‘sandwichy’ urge. It did the job and they made a lovely cheese and salad baguette. Overall the service is a little passive aggressive but the food is lovely and I enjoyed the seating areas outside.

Every time we go to Brighton we have to stop at the Croque shop! Really nice outdoor lunch spot and in our opinion the best sausage Rolls! Very good quality food and the staff is super nice! I can't wait to be back!

Great for vegetarians! They do a delicious Vegan Croque, perfect for my husband who has an egg allergy. Cheese and avocado on ciabatta also hit the spot and they substituted the mayo for hummus no problem! Great quirky little lunch or snack spot on the Lanes. Highly recommend!

Good sausage roll but very rude owner. Very dissapointed as I liked to come just for the sausage rolls. Would spend £20+ each time I went in on various sausage rolls. The last time the owner was very rude and snobby. Won't be visiting again. Shame as the other staff are lovely but am not giving my money to someone who treats their customers like that, especially when they're spending so much money.
I was only ever polite to the owner and their staff, yet the owner was very rude and arrogant. If this really was about "reciprocity" he wouldn't be so rude.

What a find! Was excited to find not only Gluten Free sandwiches but interesting ones too. Delicious croque monsieur artisan roll and they even had diet caffeine free coke, a rare find outside of supermarkets. Keep doing what you're doing...I'll be back next time I'm in Brighton town!

As self proclaimed Croque Monsieur aficionado, I'm often disappointed with a British equivalent. This was certainly not the case here! Top notch; great béchamel, good quality ham and bread and cooked to order in a tiny little shop which is crammed full of other delicious looking options too. I was greedy enough to have a BBQ pulled pork sausage roll for 'dessert'. Also delicious.

Wonderful sausage rolls here. My favourite was the ghost chili one, which was not overly hot but had just enough heat to let you know about it. They also sell some of these in the Barley Mow pub in Kemp Town.

One of the best lunch spots in Brighton, but certainly more geared towards taking away than eating there (the only seating is outside, it's tiny inside). They've got a wide selection of vegetarian/vegan items, and it's all really good. The guys who run the place are always very friendly and they get orders out extra quickly, even when they're overrun with customers (which seems to be happening more frequently lately, good for them they deserve it). Highly recommended!

Put an honest review up last week as we had really bad service after our office being regular customers for months. A colleague went back today only to be confronted aggressively in front of everyone by the staff about the review which by the way they have had removed!! Very dishonest and what an awful way to treat customers. Its a shame as the food is not bad but nothing is worth this type of treatment. You need to stop being so rude.

A special experience. I am writing this review the day after I ate a black pudding scotch egg (outstanding!), a pork and mustard sausage roll (excellent) and a fierce ghost chilli sausage roll. I bought a mixed bag of goodies for a road trip to Wales. When we got a little peckish I grabbed the next thing I could find and we didn’t know what had hit us! The sausage roll was so fiery, the driver almost lost control of the vehicle and I started getting irregular heart beats. But in a good way :)
My body went from icy cold to full blown meat sweats within 10 seconds.
I don’t want to go into too much detail about this morning but at the moment I am lying on the sofa, feeling like I’ve been prodded in the ass with a cattle iron, uncertain when it will strike again!
Five stars all the way!! Proper party prank those ghost rolls ;)
