This is one of the few stores where you can pick up bits and pieces for your car, polishes and gels (if you you are a car enthusiast) and tools (if you are after spanners, screwdrivers and the like).
But why is it so expensive??
To put some context to my rhetorical question, this was my experience:
I went in to buy wiper blades (2 x front, and 1 x rear).
They had the front set (by Bosch), but only their own branded one for the rear... which i decided not to buy. The store assistant kindly looked in all their other nearby stores, but couldn't find it in stock; it seemed it was only available in their warehouse for online purchase.
She gave me the code for the Bosch rear wiper, and I left the store having paid £28 for the front set.
Got home, logged onto their website and entered the details. Sure enough, just as explained by the store assistant, it was there for £12. But it would take up to 4 days to deliver.
So I thought I'd give Amazon a try... To my surprise, the same item was available for £7, with next day delivery!!
Out of curiosity, I looked up the pair I'd picked in store. They were priced at £18... How i wish I hadn't already fitted them!

A great place to get your bike fixed! I used the £50 gov scheme for my commuter bike repairs and the very helpful technician has taken great care of the breaks and gears. I loved getting on the bike following Monday!

I visited your Halfords Nuthall store this afternoon and would just like to give a massive thank you to Dave and Phil. They were both really helpful and went the extra mile.
I took my bike in expecting to leave it, however Dave the store manager was able to fix everything for me there and then. Dave spent a lot of time doing this to make sure it was perfect and I really appreciate it.
Halfords should be very proud to employ such hard workers. I will certainly be purchasing from you again and will reccomend your store to my friends and family.

I came here by coincidence because I had bought a cheap bike from another company and the attachment on the front fork where you screw on the wheel was a little bit crooked which made the wheel tilt a little bit sideways. I thought I could solve the problem with a washer but the company where I bought the bike didn't sell any and returning the bike for another one would be too much of an hassle (I would have to assemble it again).
So I went to Halfords and I found washers but instead of showing me the right size one of the bike mechanics just took a wrench and used some force to make it straight - in seconds for free, on a bike I didn't buy there! It looked so easy and I was so happy that the problem was solved without any more hassle. I would have tipped him if I had cash but I guess a review is the second best. It should always be this convenient when asking for help!

Went in for a free bike check. Really happy with the quality of service and the advice given. I wasn't pushed to spend money and the maintenance advice was sincere. They also pumped my tyres up and lubricated the chain free of cost. I bought something else because I wanted to, not because I felt compelled.

Collected bike for kiddies Xmas pressie. Well looked after by the member of staff at the bike counter (12/12/20 ~10:30ish), carefully loaded goods into 2-door car, very helpful, polite and easy going. Not too many customers around , so can't comment on social distancing issues but overall a pleasant and fast visit.

I came into Halfords for a 'winter car check'. The service was carried out by Phill who was polite, friendly and cheery even in the middle of a global pandemic!
I was a bit unsure about the bulbs on my car as I thought they'd gone out and with it being so dark when I'm driving, I don't want to get into trouble for having dull bulbs, however Phill checked everything and said that my car is in full working order. He has told me that he'll replace all the bulbs for me when they start to dim, which is a huge relief for me.
I was really impressed by his attitude to customers, nothing seemed too inconvenient, even in the snow.

As this is the closest branch for me I have been there many times. Staff is friendly and as far as I can say they know what is on the shelves. Could be bigger as the range of products is reduced. One star less due to very small parking.

I have been using an other Halford store however I booked into this one on Nuthall Road the difference is night and day. The team offer first class service from a telephone call to a very professional friendly service on store. Having recently purchased a Thule roof bar kit from the Gloucester branch of Halfords, whilst fitting i noticed one of the ‘Thule Sweden’ branded locking end caps was scratched, i documented the damage as soon as i unpackaged the items, and continued to fit the roof bar’s to my beloved BMW.
Having moved in just round the corner, this branch was my go to, and also my first visit. The car park was being moderated, there were great social distancing measures in place, and also the store was neat and tidy, the girls behind the desk, (sorry i didn’t catch a name) were excellent in helping me, i presented my e-receipt, removed the damaged part from my car outside the store and they replaced it, fuss free & free of charge within minutes, i cannot fault this level of service!

Collected a pre - built bicycle for my child. After using the bike upon returning home it became immediately apparent that the gears weren't functioning correctly. I noticed that one of the gear cables was also dangling loose. I took the bike to the Chilwell Halfords store where they spent approximately 5 minutes adjusting the gears, brakes and other parts. The member of staff agreed that it needed a good bit of fixing. I've contacted Halfords to advise them of what happened. The least one should expect when purchasing a (quite expensive) bike for a child is that the staff building the bike are trained to do it correctly.
