I think the best Indian food I've ever tasted. Freshly prepared exquisite dishes carefully presented and described in detail. Very friendly owners with extensive knowledge of the food and how best to eat it. Just make sure to book will in advance for evening sittings. It's possible to just turn up for the lunch serving but no guarantee of space! Please visit this wonderful place. It is amazing.

Lovely friendly, family run restaurant with plain but stylish decor, and good simple tasty food. Recommended. We frequently travel to London from New York, and when we do we always are sure to take the train to Brighton for the sea air, the 99 Flake and the best Indian dining experience we have ever had. The food is flavourful, fresh and delicious.

Went here as a group of 5. The staff were really kind & friendly. The food is amazing & it's a nice cozy restaurant. The were completely booked up - which speaks volumes! They have a large selection of vegan options to suit all & the spiciness rating on their food is accurate. I would definitely recommend this for date night!

The 81 year old mother and wives in the kitchen, brothers front of house, what more could you want? Well a lot more is on offer than this lovely picture of a family running this restaurant! It was amazing and we managed to get a table on the off chance. The only problem is we both left feeling physically sick as we ate so much!!! We even contemplated lying down and having a siester but that would be too Mediterranean! It was faultless. Reasonably priced and what you see is what you get. We bounced in and beach whaled out!

Visited with a friend. We were peckish but not starving. The staff helped us to choose the right number of dishes, all of which were excellently flavoured and spiced. The owners told us their inspiring story and it made for a wonderful experience. Will come again!

An honest Indian experience presented by a committed family of food lovers. I've never referred to them in the third person but my taste buds were pretty happy with my choice to eat here. The simple menu is lovingly crafted and collated by their 82 year old mother who's the boss and call the shots. Every bite I took left my eyes rolled back as I rubbed my belly. We topped it all off with ice cream. At the time this wasn't a mistake... but walking home was like a fully laden donkey trekking up a mountain.

I finally got to have my first Manju's meal for my birthday lunch in February 2020 (after trying to book on many previous occasions and it always being fully booked) and wasn't disappointed. What a fabulous family run restaurant, so welcoming and friendly and a great ethos - no d********! Please don't ever change that.......... The food is AMAZING. It's not just a meal out, it's a whole food experience. I cannot recommend Manju's highly enough, I even got my own happy birthday song played, a birthday dessert and the best present of all, Manju coming up from the kitchen to say hello. Thank you for a wonderful birthday lunch - I will be back and hopefully with the T-shirt we talked about :-)

Want to know how quickly these plates were emptied? What to know how divine every course was? Well... you’re gonna have to book in advance and try for yourself! A not to be missed authentic, ethnic restaurant serving 100% vegetarian food with many vegan and gluten free options. What are you waiting for? I see your mouth watering... Book a table!!

What an amazing find. The story of the family who run this restaurant is heartwarming. The food is so divine and different its a delight to the taste buds! Book in advance ( small numbers only) and stay committed to your booking. You won't regret it. I took my vegetarian in laws who loved the whole experience. Special place with family values we should all have

This place was AMAZING! In every sense of the word, the way they explain where your dish is from and the different spices used to make it was a very nice touch, I brought my partner for her birthday and they even brought her out a little complimentary dessert and wished her happy birthday which was so sweet, lots of respect for this restaurant. They are incredibly clued up on how to provide good Customer Service and I assure, that you will not be disappointed.

Small restaurant tucked away on a side street serving authentic dishes which huge amounts of flavour. The setting is cosy and the serve friendly, what more could you want.

Felt so at home here. The food tasted like it was cooked with love. Very attentive and friendly service - had a good chat with the waiter/part owner, who gave us the history of the restaurant and his legend mum.

I would recommend Manjus. The food was mostly delicious although one or two dishes could've done with slightly more depth of flavour. Also the chilli paneer was very hot (not complaining, just a warning!). Highlights were the spinach/onion bhaji and the caramelised carrot dessert, both were superb.

I have been meaning to eat at Manju's for a long while! And so glad I finally did! Manju came up to say hello. What a wonderful lady. She's so lovely and amazed that she is still cooking at 83! Her sons Naimesh and Jamie are great too. One of the most authentic family restaurants and great little gems in Brighton. An absolute must experience!

Absolutely incredible! I had chosen Manjus for dinner with my friend because of the reviews on here. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect and was quite overwhelmed by the quality and the presentation of the food. It almost felt like fine dining restaurant. Honestly, the food is just amazing! The wine is good too! It's family run and everyone is super nice. It just shows, you don't have to spend a lot of money for an exquisite dining experience. Definitely the best Indian food I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot!).

Incredibly delicious Indian food like you've never had before. We tried 6 different dishes and each one was just as tasty as the last. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Great selection of carefully chosen wines and local beers. But the best bit for me was the friendly staff, they are extremely passionate about their food and ethos. We'll be back soon!

Excellent customer service from Gabby! We were anxious about eating vegetarian and we shouldn't have been. Amazing array of flavours in just the right quantities. Made a great change to the usual westernised Indian food here in the UK. Book as it's always sold out.

Manjus is in my opinion the best Indian food I have ever had, and I've been to most of the top Indian restaurants. Not only is the food incredible, the service by the family that run it are the friendliest and most attentive. Couldn't recommend more.

Fantastic! I went here with my family for a celebration and absolutely loved it! This is a small restaurant serving authentic Indian food, not your typical curry house you find everywhere. The food is a complete delight, everything from the starters to desserts are sensational and plated beautifully. We didn’t realise that it is a vegetarian restaurant until we arrived but we all loved every single dish that came out. The hosts are wonderful too! Nothing is too much trouble and you can tell they really care. All the guests in the restaurant seemed to be really enjoying themselves. We got talking to the couple next to us, they explained that it’s totally family run and people come from everywhere to eat here. Not surprised, it really is that good! Well done Manju’s, keep up the good work. We’ll be back!

Magical family run restaurant, excellent food, unique flavours, a very welcoming and professional staff. We have eaten there on several occasions and enjoyed it immensely. We were lucky to experience their street food week and it was fantastic. We had visitors from abroad and they enjoyed the food, ambience and service very much. My husband is lactose free. The helpful staff provided advice and he enjoyed his food very much also. Fully recommend. Book ahead, as they get quite busy.

We had read about Manjus and were excited to visit. We had the GUJARATI THALI lunch, which is a platter with 10 different dishes... all decided by the owners mother who acts at the chef who decides what meals will be served and creates the recipes. Then her daughter in law is head chef and her two sons man the floor. So a truly family run business. The food was fresh, clean, vibrant, flavoursome truly excellent. Service was great. Decor was beautiful especially the silver service. The wine was all of extremely high quality
