My friend recommended this place when I rescued my dog from the local council after she was due to be put to sleep. Due to her traumatic experience in life she was a bundle of nerves when I got her home and spent weeks gaining her trust so I was really worried about sending her somewhere for grooming. I'm so pleased to have been reccomended this place as she loved every minute of her groom and perks up now whenever she knows we are going back. Even though it's not local to me it's definitely worth the journey to make sure my girls needs are taken care of. Thanks team Bone Idol ????

I cannot speak highly enough about Bone Idol! My 4 month old Springapoo Levi had his first puppy groom with Zoe. A positive first experience is super important and he loved it! He also looked wonderful and the products they use are the best. Your pup is in the safest hands at Bone Idol!
They also stock their store thoughtfully and with top notch products! Whether its an excellent range of toys, fantastic, functional clothing or the healthiest and most trustworthy food and treats, you can find absolutely everything you need for a healthy, happy pup here!

Our dogs hated being groomed. Now they are looking beautiful and do not have the post grooming issues that we had to encounter in other groomers.
I can only recommend +++ this amazing, caring and creative groomers..

After speaking with a vet about my dogs itchy skin they recommended I try a hypoallergenic dog food (at there prices I wasnt sure) Then after speaking to Ben from Bone Idol Idol assured me that this food will help him so much and it is value for money as it will last over a month. Today my dog has had the salmon small bite and loved it! Really looking forward to seeing a change in him. Customer service was great! I ordered online yesterday and it arrived today. Scott is so helpful - fantastic customer service - nothing is too much trouble. We have a gorgeous rescue Dachshund who was a fussy eater, but since trying Bone Idol kibble she licks her bowl clean as soon as its down. She loves the small bite salmon, trout and garden vegetables. Thank you Scott and team :)

Staff so friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing too much trouble....and the grooming there is excellent. My dog is a very nervous older dog who unfortunately hates water, but due to his breed type needs washing and cutting every 6 weeks. He has setrled with the team there and always looks amazing after his visits.

I have bought Bone Idol food for over two years for my labradoodle Miguel. Miguel loves the flavour and clears his plate at every meal time. The staff in the shop have been superb and are very knowledgeable which is another reason why I have returned ever since. I have recently moved to the west country so am delighted Bone Idol are now selling online as it means I can keep buying. When I visit Brighton I will coincide with a groom for Miguel as the team have made him look stunning on every occasion and I regularly get stopped in the street to ask where I have had him groomed. Keep up the great work guys and girls, Ros.

Since changing to Bone Idol's food my elder dog (aged 5) has finally stopped her constant itching. Despite trying numerous other varieties of recommended dog food, nothing worked. With Bone Idol's food the scratching has finally stopped and she seems so much happier in general. I can't recommend this food highly enough!

Cannot recommend highly enough! Very grateful to Helen and Ben at Bone Idol who have worked so kindly and patiently with Bramble on her intense anxiety about any grooming procedures, giving so much consideration to how to help her feel safer. For the first time ever she has been groomed without drugs or a muzzle and was described as "an angel" - words I never thought I'd hear about Bramble, once invited to see a renowned dog behaviourist as a training exercise for a groomer asked to bring in the "worst dog they've ever seen"! Had given up on groomers entirely and would spend ages doing it ourselves, knowing that she needed to be kept groomed to keep her healthy but always feeling horribly guilty, knowing how she hated it and how confusing it was to her. Bone Idol have worked wonders and I'm so grateful - a happy dog and happy humans. They are so lovely with Bramble and I'm so thankful she and all the humans now have a positive experience of a once much feared event! Absolute stars!

So friendly. I popped in Saturday to see if there were any rain coats for Mollie moo. Ended up talking to Ben, he took me through what was available and put them on her for me to make sure she got the perfect fit.
I was asking about a harness for my new puppy, which would be the best to start him off in, Ben showed me one and explained why. And showed me that even though I’ve done my re search and got what I thought was a really good one it was actually still doing my that a normal collar would do.
I got Moo the new harness to try it out the rest of the weekend, as we do a lot of walking in Brighton and it’s been great.
I’m looking forward to going back ????

One of the dogs I walk, a bernese mountain dog, is magically turned from a slobbery ragamuffin into a beautiful floofer in a matter of hours! Staff are brilliant, you can watch them being beautified as there's a window looking in to the treatment room! Good selection of well balanced, healthy treats and food, plus a plethora of ensembles for the fashionable pooch!

Great selection of accessories, they have their own branded food at reasonable prices. I take my bull mastiff for a groom which is excellent value for money. My dog always loves going there and the staff love having her. I whole heartedly recommend Bone Idol

Fantastic place. Staff so friendly and helpful. I was trying to get the right harness for my dog, the lady was patient and considerate to my dogs needs as he is highly anxious and frightened of new people and places. The lady took her time in getting the right harness and he let her walk him by the end, so, trust was obtained. Highly recommended! ????????????

Very well thought out shop with amazing products. Staff were extremely knowledgeable on both stock and animals. Would recommend to any friends with pets in the Brighton area or even people visiting.
If you want a grooming session be sure to book to avoid disappointment. Our little one always comes out happy and looking gorgeous. It has the the bar very high in grooming standards. I wish I could give them all 6 stars.

I unfortunately found myself in this shop when I was picking up a puppy and it was one of the few places open to pick up last minute things. They sold me products I didn't need at a price way over RRP. I've not returned since because I find other local pet shops far friendlier to my bank account & less pushy.

Great for little jumpers and leads... But last week I heard the young guy in there shout at a smallish white dog to " just shut up!" It was not pleasant.. to see. The dog was not happy... Groomer was ignoring... Dog, and man... I really saw something that will make me stear clear from now... Just really not ok.

Avoid these groomers unless you want to take your dog to the vets!!!
I had my baby groomed here last week and on first inspection the cut looked good however, she was in pain and very distressed as would not leave my side.
I checked her all over and found razor burn and cuts on her tummy, tail and around her private parts.
We took her to the vets who confirmed the above, the injuries were so bad she required an antibiotic injection and antibiotic cream. So, if you love you pet find another groomer.
I wish I could leave zero stars.

Been going to this place since it was Doggy Fashion - which was rather pricey itself. However this place is now changed hands and WOW while it's much nicer place to browse, make sure that's all you do do - browse. IT IS ALARMINGLY EXPENSIVE NOW I think the cheapest dog toy starts at around £8 !!! My neighbor brought her staffing cross a coat from here, and two days later all the stitching came away it wasn't fit for purpose, and got nothing but accusations of " you've must have done something wrong' followed by " that's normal wear and tear" - after 2 days I don't think so Always the same guy too he's always RUDE RUDE RUDE ... All other staff are ace.
