Every thing went great until you try to pay the shopping aisles were blocked off I know covid is still about but I had to pass more people in the maze to get to the till.

Received several orders from the Thurmaston store in recent weeks. Each time items were missing from the order an no one contacts you even after going through customer services. No automatic refund was given either.
I received a further order last week and several packs of insulation were soaked through. A week later after complaining I still have no response from them. I had to go and purchase more from another store whilst awaiting contact.
Very disappointing service the last three times I've used them this month.

Store manager, operations manager and 4 members of staff unhelpful when buying 36 bags of top soil.
No consistency. One day store manager helps load cars, next day policy is not to help. They say I have to buy top soil and maneuver it round the store. Plenty of staff just standing around doing nothing.
Then I go to the car park and a member of staff is loading a customers car with top soil.
One rule for one, one for another. I guess someone needs to employ these people.
If you like poor service check out Wickes in Thurmaston. Which I had bodycam footage of this behaviour.

Wickes are really good at what they do. This store is extraordinary as it's got Richard B who really knows what it means to help customers and go the extra mile. A business is judged on how it handles issues (when it goes right we expect that and take it for granted!) I'll def continue to spend here!!

Ordered some items through click and collect. According to the website all the items were in stock and that it would take 4 hours to process my order. Those 4 hours turned out to be more than 24 hours and when I went to collect my items part of my order was missing. If I had known that not everything was in stock I wouldn't have ordered anything. On top of all this, the customer service phone number doesn't even work.
I will not be using this useless bunch again.

Tried calling ahead many times but no one would answer the phone.
They only take debit and credit card payments and no cash .
Yes you put a small sign up that is barely noticeable that's very poor.
Other than that luckily they had what I needed in stock
The whole point in calling you was to check stock availability rather than do it on the fly.

We ordered a bathroom from thurmaston, wickes.. the designer was very friendly and a very nice guy.. however, we decided to cancel our order, after we found out that we was being charged the wrong price (The prices on line were different to ones in store), we was informed that the prices had changed on line since we had placed our order, however it did not state the things we we were buying were being sold at a reduced / special offer. However we was informed we was getting 10% off, but if items were cheaper on line than in store, this was not the correct information,
because we were being charged more per itam... if you intend to buy a kitchen or bathroom from wickes, Be careful, to ensure that you are getting what you think you are

Good range of building materials for most DIY tasks, let down by the poor range of power tools available , prices are reasonable to good, especially on some of the special offers. Car park quite small but ok provided you avoid peak times.

Stores shuts at 4pm on Sunday, we arrived at around 3.35 and they were already staring the close up by 3.45 the shutter was down stopping any new customers coming in and the staff clearly were wanting to go home; we felt under pressure so we left without purchasing anything this time.

Visited the store all good with the Covid precedures. Placed an order for delivery, received 2 items out of 5. Couldnt get through to anyone via phone. Re visited the store. Very nice man called Gary could understand why we didnt get all the order. Rearranged for today. 1 out of 3 items delivered. Spoke to a lovely lady called Chloe at customer service, doesnt know why we didnt get all the items as they seem to have plenty of stick. Now waiting for a call from a manager. Get the feeling another visit to the store is on the cards!!!!!

Shocking!!
I ordered £640 worth of goods on 3rd June.No email confirmation to date. Store staff shocking attitude! and Customer services (after 55 mins wait) promised a delivery date by yesterday.. still waiting for a call back I was promised. My money is gone though on 3rd June!

Nice size shop and if all you need is there and you can take it away there and then fine. But if you need to order or get something delivered, give yourself st least an extra hour if not more... it is painful ( I went and did a Costco shop, walked back to get the car and load it and by the time I drove back my husband had finish ordering.
Strongly suggest going to the the smaller Wicks on route to station.... it will be quicker.

Check stockof Oak edging tape10m @ £4 on stock checker on web only to be disappointed to be told item is clearance and not available even though showing 10 in stock. Staff not helpful just fobbing you off. I wish I did c&c would have saved a trip
